I'm so sick of the complainers

Maybe I'm in a bad mood or maybe it's been building for a while but I am so tired of hearing some of you (and you know who you are) complain constantly about videos, images and other content of this site.

If you are so sick of what you term bad quality then why don't you do one of 2 things: 1) LEAVE 2) Make your own and see what it's like when you get stupidly criticized for all of your efforts.

I know that I could make freakin' kick ass videos but I would NEVER do it for commercial reasons. Why? Because of complainers like the few that I read here who are ALWAYS finding fault for EVERYTHING.

That's why I keep the videos I shoot to myself. At least I have the luxury of deleting anything negative that breezes into my forum. Imagine all the work I put into creating a quality story getting knocked down in three seconds by someone who feels that they must say something all the time about everything.

I'm not gonna bring up the Old Days because I know that I'll get criticized for that. But maybe living in them gives me an appreciation of everything produced.

Jeff started making his own because some idiot said, "Why don't you do it yourself?" Look how far he's come. He has done incredible work over the years. I feel so fortunate to have been around during his humble beginnings. Realtickling started with a few ideas and some experimental video techniques and they have grown tremendously. And they continue to experiment. French Tickling is a new and exciting company that seems to be offering a fresh new look. There are so many to choose from now. They should all be encouraged.

Furthermore, why the hell fo you criticize commercial video companies for making money? That's why they got into the business, NOT to provide free and copy-able trade material for you! You should thank God that the business they decided to go into, to make money, was making tickling videos. So you're happy and they're happy. I hope they get rich as long as they continue to make videos for us.

I commend all the video companies for their great efforts in providing for us. If what they offer isn't my cup of tea, I don't buy it. Someone will like it.

Now we have Tickletown and the formidable MTJ Publishing. They work harder than anyone I know to provide. My good friend, Morandilas has never stopped producing; from his early days of writing as Featherstip to the vast amount of publications he has produced in hard copy and Internet. All these guys have put Tickling on the map.

So all I want for Christmas this year is to stop hearing and seeing the negative comments about the people in our community who are providing more content then just your freakin' complaining.

For all of them, I bow low in appreciation. For those that support our Community, I offer my hand in friendship. For those who only have negativity to offer, I offer one finger. You know which one it is.

Welcome to the Internet.

This phenomenon is not unique to our little corner of the web. You should see the abuse video game programmers go through on "fan" sites. It makes what goes on here look like toddlers slapping each other on the playground.

No matter what you produce, no matter how professionally-done it is, no matter how many awards it receives, someone, somewhere, will bitch about how bad it is. You can't do anything about it, so you may as well just tune it out. 😀

I personally enjoy reading the complaints, especially from the professional complainers who consistently complain about everything. While complaining alone is good, it is especially enjoyable when it comes from a professional complainer who also insults as many other members as possible, as often as possible.

Polished professional complaints and insults, which come from sources which regularly complain and insult, are truly an enjoyable aspect of the TMF.

I mean really, think about it; a thread starts, a few people spend five or ten minutes creating feedback, input, and contrasting ideas, then along comes one of the professional insult-o-max members of the TMF.

In my mind, they are among the funniest, and I mean consistently hilarious, members of the TMF.

They compete with each other to see who can be the single most anti-social member of this community. I think it's a blast just reading their member-ID, because I know without a doubt that whatever is being discussed, they're going to display character traits as if they were playing a role written for a television script (or a TV-Wrestling "bad-guys" character).

Uhmmm, MaxSpear, do you really take these guys as persons worthy of significant recognition ?

I don't. After seeing X-number of consistent and repeated posts from certain of them; all condemning whatever is being discussed or whomever made whatever comment; I started thinking, "Oh boy ! It's insult-o-max #3 ! I can't wait to see this next anti-social outpouring !"

And they seldom fail to produce.

Max..I find the ones who complain the most have very little or no creative talent themselves..Their lack of imagination astounds me..If a picture or video isnt EXACTLY the way they need it to be, they complain that it does nothing for them or it "should have been done like this".....As to the professional compainers here at the TMF---I too look forward to their responses as it is fun to see them make asses of themselves on such a regular basis...

I hate listening to it as well.

These people do so much work for us.

That's the idea of a community, we are all helping each other to obtain common goals!

I may have only been around this community for the last five or six years, but I still have seen the trends. And it amazes me the lack of respect the people have for these service providers. Offering tips is one thing, but if you have a complaint... SHUT THE **** UP!!! We DON'T NEED TO HEAR IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Max, I hear you. I really have to agree with P50 here. I actually find a lot of that crap funny. It's such a neat little paradox that those who are so "outside the box" with all of thier "original and groundbreaking" ideals are so...damn....predictable!. It's like rats in a maze, or a Pavlovian response. You can count on the same complainers all the time, because it's an ingrained response.

Those of us that produce any kind of tickling material are bound to bump into complainers. That's the nature of the beast. But do you think that endless whining actually changes any of our minds on the direction of our craft...be it video, fiction, art, comics or what-have-you? If anything, it just reinforces our drive to stick to our guns.

A good 75% of all the stories I've written have been freebies, so I can't really comment in that area...but I've put a lot of time and effort into my various art projects. And believe you me, I never give a second thought to changing direction over ill-versed and confrontational complaints. I know that the folks who don't like my style don't buy my stuff. Honestly, I don't care. I make these for those that share my tastes in imagery, and for my own professional satisfaction. Not once have I ever thought "Oh, I'd better make this one different or else I'll really get it from so-and-so..." Puh-leeze. And I know I'm not alone in this.

You're a legend, Max! At least you do something, rather than find fault in everyone else.

Give the little lady a cigar. You're exactly right. When you are putting your own time, money and effort into something, you automatically tune out obnoxious complaints. The best way to turn anyone off to hearing your ideas is to act like a child and whine. You won't be given the time of day.

The world, and things in general IMPROVE because people give input. I have no problem with people making money. Hell if every video producer got rich I'd be happy as hell. BUT I do have the right to call crap by it's name when I see it. This isn't complaining. It's exercising my right to voice an opinion. I realize it's subjective, but in matters like this taste is important. In many ways I don't voice an opinion. For instance overall I have always thought Max Speer stories suck, and are all pretty much the same, BUT I realize there are those who like Max stories, so until today I didn't say anything. My suggestion Max, if you can't stand the radiation then get the hell out of Nagasaki.

I do believe I have a LOT of talent, and more than a minimum of imagination. Ask ANY lady I've tickled and they'll tell you I have a LOT of imagination. BUT I do not have the time to film them, edit them and market them. MORE IMPORTANTLY I don't claim to be a producer. I do admire the produers BUT so far their product this year blows. AND I speak in a language they understand. I simply don't buy, and I voice WHY I'm not buying. Wonders what Max does when he buys a product that's a lemon? Max do you just eat the produt OR do you tell the seller or manufacturer to FIX it. If you do the latter then I must think you're a hypocrite sir. Unless of course you're willing to delete your post here.

I completely agree with Max and Dave, as I can feel their frustration as writers of free material (Yaqi would say: jerk off stuff...😛 ). Frequently enough, I've tried to put things into perspective when people keep complaining about the 'faking' in videos. In fact, they are the ones to pity. They're ruining most of their own fun by searching the proverbial hair in the soup... 🙄

There's nothing to say against a little constructive criticism, and to air your own personal wishes to producers and writers, that's what polishing a diamond is about. But too many people try to ruin the fun of others by their negative attitude, and that's something I don't approve of. That's not polishing, it's sandpaper-scraping!

P50's approach to those people is the one I like best. Maybe you should really start your own psycho-counselling business... 😀

OK, so if someone gives feedback that is different from your opinion, would that be considered a complaint to you, but not to those who agree with it? If everyone on here were the same, and we acted like a bunch of mind- numbed robots, this would be the most boring site there is. You have to have different opinions to keep things interesting. That's why it's a forum. Who wants to read post after post with ".....(blah blah).....and that's what I think", followed by 15 replies of "Very good, thank you" , "I agree, very nice", "Thank you, I enjoy everything", etc. etc. ...While that's all fine and dandy, it's boring!! I would LOVE to agree with everything I read on here, but I don't. Unfortunately, I am the type keeps to myself when I enjoy something (most of the time) and calls out the "crap" also when I see it. ...-However, now that I thought about it, I will try to balance that more in the future.

Ya know, the more "politically correct" people try to be, the more fake they become. I sure hope this forum doesn't become that.

Hal, I completely get your sentiments, but let me add one thing. You said you can understand our frustration...actually, for me, there is no frustration. I do what I do, those that like it like it, those that don't...don't. No big deal.

Let's not get into another "discussion" about mind-numbed robots, freedom of expression, fascism...blah,blah,blah... If those few of you were so strong in your convictions, you wouldn't feel a need to repeat them, verbatim, over and over and over and over and over...

It's sad, really. I was under the impression we were all here for the same thing with many different facets.

I only skimmed through the majority of this thread. That is because the only vital information was expressed in the first post, that being the jist of: "If you don't like it, let's see you do better!"
Neutron had a pseudo-point as far as people giving their input. I think that the people that buy your particular product should have input. Afterall, they are your bread and butter. Furthermore, these clients would most likely post their complaints directly to the producer's e-mail, and not on a public forum.
But, I have seen many whiny complaints from people who fall into the category of "Ye of Few Posts". Somebody who only has three career posts, and all three posts are on the subject of being a whiny little bitch, complaining about something that they probably got for free in the first place.
So as Max said in his own words, and as I shall now translate into my own words: "Do it yourself you whiny little cankersore!" Post it here and submit yourself to the same public critique.
Let's take it from the whiners' perspective, that probably being: "This is total bullshit! I come online looking for free stuff, and the only free stuff I can find is unsatisfactory. It's not fair that I should have to pay like everybody else. My lack of contribution entitles me to the best that's out there. I am insulted that there is not a higher grade of free material out there. Why doesn't TIB and Jeff just give their videos away. Why should I have to pay them money so that they can be re-imbursed for the fees that they pay their models?! I didn't tell them to tickle them! Just like I didn't tell my parents to give birth to me! I'm entitled to see it all for free! And if I don't like it, I'll be sure to be an Itty Bitty Bitch and come to the TMF and post about it so that you can all have your lives changed and impacted by my worthless opinion!"

Hey I love a good fight just as much as any guy. But I do believe that a person who doesn't really have the strength and intelligence shouldn't fight at all.

Neutron, I could care less if you think my work sucks or not. I wasn't attacking freedom of opinion. I was attacking the people, like yourself who find it easy to say that everything sucks and yet never really has an intelligent or constructive opinion. You always seem to demand product ( "I want" "I need" "Gimme").

As far as everyone is concerned, the critic has the right to offer criticism. But the whiners just whine and complain like little old ladies. Which catagory do you fit in to? And, in case you were feeling pretty good, my post was not simply about you. As I said, the people I talked about know who they are.

So, Neutron, now that I am criticizing you, in the public arena, maybe you can understand that words have a strength.

I know what I have contributed and I can look back at many years of work that I have put into this Community (not including my stories and novels). I can look back and be proud of what I helped to start. It is because of myself and people I associate with that there is even a Tickling Community.

I rarely toot my horn, but I am feeling pretty energized right now. So before you puff up your chest and commit your little fingers to your keyboard, look back at your accomplishments. Perhaps, if you have as much insight as you attest to, that you will understand why complainers and whiners are NOT intelligent members of our group offering intelligent critique of a product. They are NOT exercising freedom of speech any more than the kid who yells "fire" in a crowded place. They are nothing but big f*cking babies with nothing better to do and nothing better to offer but their ego.
