I think it was my response to this post by Tron that got iced; so I shall now attempt to rephrase it in words that don't violate any golden or any other colour rules. 😀----------------------------


Having a job where you earn over a hundred thousand bucks a year, just proves that you have a high IQ (not always the case, but it is in this particular case in point) and expertise in a field of technology that is worth a damn huge amount of international wonga. (Check English slang dictionary.) That also would include the bit about getting calls from lots of other people in the industry. The nice house is also a part of having more money than the average person. And the big secret is?????????


It doesn't take personality or general likeability to have a high IQ and a job in a high tach, high money industry. You wonder why people seem to think you have no personality Tron? It's because you seem to exist to do nothing else but slag people off and make the most cutting possible remarks about anything they do. It seems to you that the world is never grey, only pure black or pure white.

Now I'm sure a lot of people are wondering why I'm a pot calling the kettle black with that last remark. Sure I've been involved with some of the biggest arguments the TMF have ever seen. The two that spring to mind the most easy, are the ones about Yaqi and Kujman. Anyone who read the relavent threads will remember that I laid into both guys in a way that made Tron look positivley diplomatic. The difference I think is this; both of those guys that I "slammed" had done something that a lot of people saw as genuinely reprehensible. Not just made a video that a lot of people thought was great and one person thought was crap. And like Tron, I've been critical of some of the content of video companies products. However I've never used a rather sweeping "that companiy's shit and it product sucks 100%" approach. I've always said what I didn't like and why I didn't like it. I've also said what I would have liked to see. For example: MTP has long been one of my favourite video companies (despite Jeff finding me very irritating) and I once said "if all the other companies had to dissappear into a whole and leave one it'd be MTP". Now I've also made no secret of the fact that I don't think either Don, Jeff or Sabrina tickle anywhere near hard enough. Not one of the three can stand up to TIB or Priscilla James for the ability to make a lee really lose it. Instead I often see very ticklish models barely raise a giggle for 60 minutes when it would'nt have taken much sweat to have had some really sweet hysterics. However, the vast majority of MTP's video releases have been with scenarios that I like very much. I don't really go for the more adult type of video that TC has taken to releasing more often than not, (and to a certain but lesser degree, MTP too) but there are still a few dozen MTP titles that look great. (To me at least.) And again you can find something better where there isn't something I want to see. Not all MTP videos have the people mentioned above as the ticklers. Sometimes the boyfriend of the model does the tickling, sometimes the girlfriend does. (Jason who was Laura's boyfriend was a truly evil and sadistic tickler, but lacked finesse.)

So there you've got my biggest beef with MTP, but you've also got what I'd like to see change about it, and also the point that several videos still have sadistic ticklers in them. Now Tron you obviously don't have the same views on tickling videos that I do, so these were just examples of what could be. I've taken something that bothers me about the videos of the company I like the best, but I've also seen the cloud's silver lining, (Not the best thing to say to a nuke engineer I know!) and even suggested way that I'd like to see it improved. All you ever seem to do is come forth and spew all negativity with no sign of you actually having given any thought into what you'd like to see change. (Or if you have it's consigned to very infrequent posts that not enough people see.) Why Tron? You're obviously intelligent or you would'nt be doing what you do for a living. Why do you just sit there in the corner like a heavier than air fart and poison everyone elses atmosphere, without trying to at least put some constructive ideas forward? Is it any wonder why a lot of people slam you? You hav'nt got a positive adenine-thymine link in your whole double helix, or at least you choose not to show it on the TMF.

very late at arriving at this thread, but...

I thought this was an interesting topic due to the fact that I've never seen this sentiment expressed before on the forum. I would imagine that most people have heard the phrase 'if you don't have something nice to say, don't say anything at all.' Obviously, many people do not ascribe to this notion, and the number of people that don't increases expotentially on the internet due to anonymity.

I sense that many forum members go the extra mile not to insult other people, their work, or whatever they contribute. I honestly believe that these members, as much as any of the contributions or materials, make this place worthwhile and enjoyable. I may have come here for the content, but that alone wouldn't have made me stay.

My fear is that others may cease contributions due in part to all the negative stuff. The only question, for my part, that remains is whether to speak up about the complainers or continue ignoring them.
