I'm so sick of the complainers

Before I started writing, I could probably count on one hand the number of stocking-foot tickling stories.

Now, I COULD have been like the resident Complainulators, and said, "Why don't you do stocking-foot stories for me! Why not? Come on! I want! Gimme gimme gimme!"

What I chose to do, instead, was this: take the bull by the horns and start writing stories on my own.

So I wrote my stories and Morandilas liked them and published them. Some people like them, some people don't. Fair enough. No story is for everyone. But the bottom line is, I DID something about it, instead of just sniveling.

Max is right. People like Neutron need to grow up and stop acting like spoiled two-year-olds. If you want something you're not getting, participate - POSITIVELY. I'm sure Jeff or TIB or anyone else worth their salt would appreciate good, POSITIVE feedback. But if it's just "Jeff, you suck" or whatever, and you're not going to participate beyond that - put a f**king sock in it.

expressing tastes and opinions... or even a little constructive advice (purposely avoiding the word criticism here) is a good thing. but ego masturbation at the expense of others... is not.

I'm normally very optimistic and upbeat-but based on the posts I've read today here and in other threads, I believe that some will never really understand what we're saying regarding how we should speak to one another. I've read post after post that clearly stated what Max and other creative folk here feel: that it's fine to critique and criticize our work if it's done constructively, instead of nastily-and still the same nonsense is trotted out-we're too PC, we can't take hearing the truth, and all the other excuses that really add up a lack of manners and poor social skills. I have no idea why treating others well is such a hardship for some, but it saddens me a great deal. In real life people who don't treat me with the respect their mamas should have taught them are simply ignored, I'm beginning to think that should apply here as well Luckily, there are more mature adult posters than spoiled brats, my guess is that if we ignore the tantrums they'll stop. I know it works in preschool.

Hats off to you Max, for everything from your wonderful stories to NEST to just being there for newbies in this community. You're a sweetheart, as intelligent people know

Mods this post IS a direct put-down which I basically have NEVER done. But after Neutron's earlier post I will stick up for a man who I believe has put as much into this community as any other (Max).

Neutron buying a lemon and demanding a refund, and merely bitching because you have the right about something in which you didn't even pay for is a big difference... so therefore Max is not a hypocrite.

Second, your ideas of freedom a sadly yet ridiculously STUPID!!! You have the freedom to be here. You have the freedom to love, to live, to be happy. BUT YOU DO NOT HAVE THE FREEDOM TO HURT AND BELITTLE A PERSON SIMPLY BECAUSE YOU FEEL LIKE BEING A JERK! I realize that you have probably felt a loss of love from everyone in your life and so you feel as if you must take it out on everyone else in the world. I refer to those who belittle everyone who produces videos, writes a story, or just posts a pic they liked and wanted to share with others. I am all for closing this discussion. I really didn't want to turn it into a Neutron bashing.

Thank you for those who defended my post. However, I start to get uncomfortable when people start to defend me and bash another in the same paragraph.

Again, I do not mean to say anything against those that have stuck up for what I had to say, and for those that added other comments about my achievements, again I thank you and appreciate them.

I think Neutron gets the point or I hope he does). I never meant to turn it into the bashing of any one individual. That is why I measured my words and re-read my post several times before submiting it. I posted it because I was pissed off at him and several others who feel the need to do what they do.

My hopes now, are that those people that I referred to take a moment before throwing a post up, and thinking of the consequences of their words.

I have to commend Myriads and the other Mods for the work they do. If I ran this place I would be deleting memberships left and right. I take offense when people bash. I guess you know that by now. I apologize for getting a little crazy. It's my "Philly" kneejerk reaction coming out.

So if this thread is deleted, I hope it resonated in a positive way. If it stays, then I hope it continues to shed some light on the shadows of our group.

I basically made the same comments as you did Max and a few losers on here had the gall to call me on it? Max, I hope you hang in there and keep up the excellent work. From those of us who became so disenchanted with the complainers and whackos out there and gave up our contributions, it is those like yourself who continue to carry the torch. Anyone who mentions that they actually enjoy the criticism is a moron. They are a danger to those who do contribute and the rest of us who have decided not to. I am hoping that many of you including Tickler in Black, MTP Jeff, yourself, and many others understand that the vast majority of us do truly appreciate your work and would never complain. Suggestions that might help improve a product are one thing, but impatience and criticism are the scourge of the Community. Over the years, I recall having conversations with two prolific contributors of the community, namely BAC and one whom I will not mention, and all of us decided to back off on putting out anymore material. We are not so arrogant as to say we cannot handle critisism, but we do challenge those who have never contributed to try their hand at it before they do. Before you start to complain, consider the fact that any person who does contribute could possibly just hang it all up...hence we all lose out. Max, I agree with your very well composed letter and will champion your cause. I gave up FeatherMates in the mid 80's for these exact same reasons. I can only hope that all this negativity doesn't cause others to follow suit. I have thought about creating a new websight and try to rally some of the legends who used to contribute, but when I see what you are going through, it just brings back too many old memories. I wish you well on your endeavors Max.

I think it is in bad taste to criticize things that people do for free as a service to this forum. On the other hand, if you buy a video with your hard earned money you in a sense have earned the right to scrutinize it publicly if you see fit.

The insult-o-squad members are among the funniest members of the TMF and their behavior is absolutely hilarious.

Maybe I'm in a bad mood or maybe it's been building for a while but I am so tired of hearing some of you (and you know who you are) complain constantly about videos, images and other content of this site.

If you are so sick of what you term bad quality then why don't you do one of 2 things: 1) LEAVE 2) Make your own and see what it's like when you get stupidly criticized for all of your efforts.

I know that I could make freakin' kick ass videos but I would NEVER do it for commercial reasons. Why? Because of complainers like the few that I read here who are ALWAYS finding fault for EVERYTHING.

That's why I keep the videos I shoot to myself. At least I have the luxury of deleting anything negative that breezes into my forum. Imagine all the work I put into creating a quality story getting knocked down in three seconds by someone who feels that they must say something all the time about everything.

I'm not gonna bring up the Old Days because I know that I'll get criticized for that. But maybe living in them gives me an appreciation of everything produced.

Jeff started making his own because some idiot said, "Why don't you do it yourself?" Look how far he's come. He has done incredible work over the years. I feel so fortunate to have been around during his humble beginnings. Realtickling started with a few ideas and some experimental video techniques and they have grown tremendously. And they continue to experiment. French Tickling is a new and exciting company that seems to be offering a fresh new look. There are so many to choose from now. They should all be encouraged.

Furthermore, why the hell fo you criticize commercial video companies for making money? That's why they got into the business, NOT to provide free and copy-able trade material for you! You should thank God that the business they decided to go into, to make money, was making tickling videos. So you're happy and they're happy. I hope they get rich as long as they continue to make videos for us.

I commend all the video companies for their great efforts in providing for us. If what they offer isn't my cup of tea, I don't buy it. Someone will like it.

Now we have Tickletown and the formidable MTJ Publishing. They work harder than anyone I know to provide. My good friend, Morandilas has never stopped producing; from his early days of writing as Featherstip to the vast amount of publications he has produced in hard copy and Internet. All these guys have put Tickling on the map.

So all I want for Christmas this year is to stop hearing and seeing the negative comments about the people in our community who are providing more content then just your freakin' complaining.

For all of them, I bow low in appreciation. For those that support our Community, I offer my hand in friendship. For those who only have negativity to offer, I offer one finger. You know which one it is.

They already have their own cathegory for recognition. It's called the TMF. As you've just proven, it works perfectly for them. Negative recognition is quite strong, and they can get a headrush from feeling all "evil" and "outlawish" and whatever rocks their boat.

I disagree on the "Funny" part, though. I find them as entertaining as kindergarden kids whacking each other over the head with plastic shovels to see who gets to use the sandbox. It might be amusing if served with an exciting soundtrack, but it loses its appeal after some repetition. And boy, do we suffer from repetitive issues on this forum! every point that gets our resident Grumpies(tm) upset gets promptly inserted in every thread even remotely related to the topic they wish to "discuss". The constant bickering and complaining and in-fighting is tedious at best, aggravating at worst.

I don't see why this behavior should be encouraged. I'm still trying to cope with the tolerating part, since every time I read a post from one of the Grumpies(tm), I feel inclined to just send it to limbo with the click of a button. Fortunately, we have laws against such power abuse, and thus I just sigh, drink some more coffee and move on. The remaining problem is the clutter and static they produce. It makes it hard to find anything worthwhile on the Forum, which is rather sad.

So no, I'm not for any kind of "official" recognition or award for anti-social behavior. We don't want that kind of crap here, really, and we sure as hell don't want to encourage it. We want this place to be a platform for the exchange of ideas about tickling, not some sort of combat-zone where we find the toughest S.O.B. with the least social graces of our little community. There are other places for that stuff.

how to accept what is out there for the benefits it presents. Yes, it may not be what we, personally, are looking for. But, I don't understand how we can condemn things that aren't specificly to our own liking. SOMEONE must like it if it's out there. Why not say, "Thanks. It's not quite my cup of tea. But, the effort is appreciated. If you ever care to do anything with it, here's an idea I'd love to see someone play with...." Doesn't this sound better than all those people claiming that what's out there is crap and demanding that it be changed to what they peronally want to see?

But, it was what he wanted...his own angle on things. He didn't claim that we were wrong in not doing things his way. But, he did ask to be accepted in his own likes. Those who felt as he did likely had some pleasant exchanges. The same can happen in the case of video, story and picture themes. What's there is there. Those who share the liking for that style will enjoy it. Those who don't will move on to other things. It's like everything else in life.

What Max says is right on the mark. Yes, people have the right to voice their opinion. I just wish they'd put a bit more thought and consideration for others into what they say. I don't claim to be perfect. I've been guilty of some comments that weren't exactly charitable. But, I try to accept the correction that comes as a result and correct the attitude that led to it. I think it comes down to a matter of social skills. No matter how intelligent or ignorant people may be, they can still be socially retarded. I've dealt with many of them in my life. They're among the most difficult to understand. But, we need to remember that they're searching just as we are and not take things too personally.

Tron...You are partially right. However, I beleive we can include almost any content and still word it in a way that is not offensive to others. A silly example is my dad. He's the only person I know who you can tell that he's full of sh*t and he'll thank you for it if you're smiling when you say it. The point isn't to negate critical commentary. It's more to make is CONstructive criticism rather than DEstructive criticism. I believe people respond more positively to that and it would get people a lot farther without the hard feelings.

While I have never really complained or attacked any video company for "making money" I have critisized them for using models who "fake" being ticklish and them selling you a video that is not what is advertised.

For instance, my good friend and brother, if you went out and purchased a BMW, drove it around took it home only to find out that it is really a Voltzwagon. You bet your farfigneuton(I doubt I spelled it correctly) you would Complain!!😉 😀 😛

Again, don't mean to attack you, Dude, but it would be nice to hear you voice your opinions with a little bit of tact and consideration. I do believe that people will actually listen to you and not be turned off if you say what you have to say the way I suggested.
