I'm so sick of the complainers

I Beg To Differ...

6 figure job,
Nice house,
Had a new department at work created just for me which has exceeded the goals established for it by 72%.

Lots of good friends.

Get calls from virtually everyone in my industry about indudstry issues.

Looks like it's orked out damn well 🙂

well then, why not bring some of that bonhome work persona here?
everyone is telling you, you are not a good person here, why not accept that? why continue to irritate, with the sole intent to just irritate?

Disagreements

Because "I gotta be me, I gotta be free......" No, that was a song...dammit, seemed like a nice argument too! Not sure why we're hearing about your financial statement when the topic is personality, but if your intent is to obscure the issue, then perhaps a segue into how many rooms in your mansion will be forthcoming? Just FYI, the average median income where I live is nearly 6 figures, so it's not too distinctive an accomplishment. Glad to hear you are doing well in your industry in these harsh economic times though, although it also doesn't seem to pertain to the topic. +72%...looks like your budgeting department needs some new personnel or computers. Did you tell them they suck.....?

But, I do agree users shouldn't have to put their personalities and posting styles up for a vote...it would be boring if we all sounded the same, no? I also think trying to frame criticism well is a responsibility of each member of this and other communities on the internet, so when it's not being done, I'd call the offending members..."lazy". And some of them will dispute that and tell you they're doing their best and thus imply that the community shouldn't judge them, but in the cases presented in this thread, I think they have enough brainpower to do better.

Newton's Laws ?

Okay, action and reaction ?

My suggestion of a vote and an award went over like a; well; it kept going over and went off the edge, I guess.

OK, See if this makes sense: Run a vote for something like...

The TMF 2002 award for the member whose opinion is most likely to be ignored or held as an opposite indicator

The complain-o-matics want negative recognition, let's give it to them in an official, systematic way so that they can wear the badge. Stick it on their ID (e.g. Voted by the members as someone you should ignore) next to every post for a solid year or something.

Could the people who write the vBulletins software include a "twit bit" which each member could selectively apply to other members ?

Does such a capability now exist ?

It would be especially useful if it could be have a time limit, e.g., the ability to ignore a member for the rest of the day or another week or a month or a year or whatever.

That would be passing judgement and a form of censorship that would be very negative. Let all who have an opinion whether it be pro or con, positive or negative, be allowed to state their case or peace and let each individual here in the community make their own private judgements against or for said person and the rest could follow suit in their own way without "Labeling" anyone and placing a permamant or even temporary "Tag" on them that will follow them around like a black cloud.

Nice thought though albeit misguided.

Evolution....

You might also want to keep in mind that we as humans aren't static creatures, and that most of us ARE capable of real change in our lives and perspectives, based on events and education. Many members who are currently considered valuable "productive" community pillars did NOT start off that way for a variety of reasons.

There's also a place in every world for the role of devils advocates and such, so hope does indeed spring eternal. Being a minority or a fringe player doesn't lessen ones role automatically. Nor does being an outsider equate to being perceived as "cool"(do we still use this phrase...lol?) so easily in a community this size. We all have our reasons for being who and how we "are" while at the TMF......

I forsee the future of this thread turning to people complaining about people who complain about the complainers!😀 😛

Complain about my complaining and I might just complain your face 🙂

Nice to know that there is a nice resolution to this thread.

"oh, happy, happy, joy, joy" (...rolls eyes....)

I guess this could possibly be a "battle of the smartasses" thread?

Ha ha. BUT, in order to be good at it, and to be funny, you have to be SMART, to be a SMARTass.

..ok, ok, I'll hush up now!

Ya know, gang, we all complain at times. Some of us simply enjoy it more than others. (Go figure!) This thread wasn't meant to be about only one person or one topic being complained about. It's the whole attitude that can get tiring. We're here to have fun. Soooo....

Let's get ready to TICKLE!!!!

Evidence that I should log on more often...

Yeah, I know, I'm several days late and dollars short, but just an observation...

It strikes me that any sexual subculture that has a community gathering place (such as the TMF) must thank the DIY forces that took the initiative in the first place. Without them, I know I'd still be sitting around complaining about all the split-beaver photos, cum shots, fake orgasms, and other turn-offs in the world. If I don't like what Video Company X is putting out, I'll vote with my feet and purse. If I have a shipping beef against Tickle Mags., Inc., I'll deal with them. What good is a public smear campaign going to do? Embarrass a vendor into catering to your desires? I've never heard of a business model that included humiliation as motivational strategy.

Excessive complaining (rather than expressing our needs in a positive, constructive manner) will drive away not only the folks making the product, but also potential artists feeling their way into the market. Let's not shit where we eat.

Thanks to all who provide this forum for me to respond...

Normal business has resumed. Something tells me I am further away from being made a mod than Eminem is from being elected President. Truth to tell I can't even remember which golden rule/s I violated with this one.

jim if i had the authority, i'd make you a mod. in a hollywood minute.
but then i like you. i'd also miss you, being you. seems the mods have a thankless job, and the worst part is that they can't get down in the trenches (or gutter) with the rest of us. poor dears.

Believe me, Steve, I'm down in the trenches. I've been eating and spitting out dirt for a while now. 🙂

Affectionate Dan.... you DID meet Max in Phili. The Max we were hanging with, with Mike, was Max... THE Max. The MAX who organizes NEST is Max Speer!

I'm cracking up that you didn't realize it.

Max - I suppose your persona online is so large that when people get to meet the real person they are so taken by how warm and friendly and REAL you are.

That's pretty cool stuff actually! I like that!

LOL I was actually a bit surprised getting to know Max a bit in person. I kinda think about the line in Braveheart when I think of that...where people Wallace is much taller, etc. than he actually is because he's become such aa legend. To this community, I'd say Max is one of our true legends and friends. It's easy to picture him as bigger than life, because his accomplishments have been.
