Do you think it's emasculating for a man to be tickled? For the tickled victim, is there an element of humiliation that's more severe for guys than for girls?

I'm not speaking of consensual tickling sessions, gatherings, munches, etc. I'm speaking of real world tickling of a more or less unwilling victim, whether it's a form of spousal abuse, fraternity/sorority hazing, or maybe just to put somebody in their place. Basically any situation in which somebody is tickled against their will.

Men need to look cool and confident to be alpha as fuck. Tickling takes away both.

So, yeah.

Yes, definitely. Even with all the emancipation going on, the society still has a certain picture of how men and women should behave. Men are supposed to be strong. So if a guy breaks down giggling like a little girl, he has shown a weakness. It's okay for a girl, but for a guy it often seems humiliating. Same with crying - perfectly alright if a woman cries, but a guy shouldn't.

if its something you enjoy and get a kick out of it then what's the problem?

Is it emasculating when a girl goes on top when having sex?

That's not what this thread is about. Let me quote the OP:

If a man feels like he is less than a man for being tickled; he could be an ass!

This is where personal opinion basically takes over. I don't see anything especially emasculating about either of these scenes. I see friends having fun. Whereas I suspect other people on this board are going to see the victims sprout tiaras and tutus in their first gigglish reactions.

It's pretty subjective. I see lots of things as emasculating -- being made to hold your wife or girlfriend's purse, being forced to wear the jersey of a team you hate, drinking a Zima -- but someone tickling you? Probably only if they make you pee yourself. Otherwise, it's just an endurance challenge, you grit your teeth and power through it and if there's laughter along the way (yes, even giggling) so be it.

All the better if you turn the tables on your attacker and put him or her through it as well. PAYBACK! 😀

For me it is yeh, tickling I can kinda handle in certain circumstances (with a bit of alcohol involved 😛), I know I dont like being tied up in the presence of another male tho, thats a no no for me.

Being tied and tickled in front of a male would be extremely uncomfortable for me, I wouldn't do it.

I can kind of see that. I don't see my favorite Canadian enjoying himself being tickled by me in the presence of other men (no worries, I would never lol) so yeah, I can see that to be true in certain circumstances.

There is something very sexy about making a man scream like a girl though. 😀

It depends on the situation. One of my favorite YouTube vids is one where two girls and two guys are out for Halloween and the two girls start tickling one of the guys. The other guy wasn't laughing at his friend talking about what a girly girl he was for being ticklish. Instead, the other guy seemed pretty afraid that the girls were about to go after him, which they did. Was this a case of females dominating males? Absolutely. But it wasn't really "emasculating." If a bunch of other guys were around pointing and laughing at the guy being tickled, that might qualify. Ultimately it's a matter of personal taste and opinion.

That must vary broadly with self-image on a per-man basis. Since an entire flavour of eroticism is based on fuelling internal psychological conflict, I'm sure there are some guys and girls that would concede and deeply desire the emasculation factor.

It could be argued that anything humbling and any sign of vulnerability is scene as a sign of emasculation.

Aha, uncomfortable and emasculated are not the same thing though Mr Haribish, are they?

Masculinity is not synonymous with arrogance and invincibility though...At least not in my opinion anyways....

Isn't that part of the motivation in f/m tickling though?

No but being in a situation where I feel emasculated will also make me feel uncomfortable wont it 😛
o
Yes but you can be uncomfortable and not emasculated in many different ways...
Now stop your pedantry or I'll make you suffer =p

Of course, but not if I was being tickled infront of other males 😛

ORLY? hurry up then 😀

If the person is indulging on his fetish then no. It's just a phase showing weakness which all males and females do thus why we have significant others. But running around being tickled by other people in a public place or just in a group of friends or not in a sesscion then probably is emasculating. One on one or a close trusting couple is fine but other then that it will make people feel awkword including the male being tickled probably. Unless your at something like that nest thing. So thus we must descend this to the wonderfull grey area.
