If we put the shoe on the other foot, so to speak, we'd be wrong if we judged the guys on how they look, how much they make, what kind of job they're working, even how old they are.

....and as we all know that is something women never do.

As I think I said in another thread somewhere, most people who are into the laugh riot that is tickling, do not appear to have much of a sense of humour (still undecided though whether that is a female or American thing ?).

Theres nothing funny at all about someone being called unattractive, or "drop her and get a hottie, along with the other shallow and crass commentary spewed around here.

And I really don't believe this only happens in America since so many cultures emulate!

I have one hell of a sense of humor, I just try not to do it at the expense of others.

On to what the thread is about. I had her over last night, early this morning & everything went well. I gave her a foot massage , which she thoroughly enjoyed. & of course we talked. I'm more attracted to her aura/personality/inner being now that the ice has been broken. All those who are interested I'll update you as time goes on. Peace

I know a lot of women who are attractive, successful, educated with guys I basically wouldn't want scraped off the bottom of my shoe. I'm not talking about looks either! An eggplant carries a better personality, but he's obviously good enough for her.......

Many women may judge, but to say the majority do is using way too broad of a brush!

In some ways, women are WORSE about judging on looks.

First of all, women judge men AND women by their attractiveness. Men only really do that to the opposite sex.

Second, the guys I know that are good looking have sex with a LOT of women (if they want to). I have seen women throw themselves at good looking guys countless times. "One-night stands" are the domain of good-looking men (hello, herpes!).

Third, nearly all women I know have multiple looks-based rules about who they might date that they are NOT willing to bend on (except on a weird fluke). Like - "no fat guys", "no short guys", "no ethnic looking guys", "no complexion problems", etc. I think the "no short guys" rule is engraved in stone for about 90% of women - which may be worse than the percentage of "no fat chicks" for men.

Don't get me wrong - a majority of my friends are women. I can only talk about work and sports for so long before going into a coma. But women judge men (and women) by their looks WAY more than they will freely admit.

If you want to poll this forum, I've heard more men judge women by looks. Here are a few gems from past threads:

"If she doesn't have nice feet, I won't tickle her"
"If she doesn't attract me, I won't tickle her"

One of my personal favorites (I must paraphrase this beauty since I don't remember the complete quote):

If she looks like a gastric bypass candidate, I don't want her sitting next to me on a plane!

And let's look at the wonderful compassionate responses given on this very thread for a moment. The most negative ones came from whom, men or women?

I believe we can put this baby to rest!

It depends on the person. I've been on this board over two years and there's proof of more MEN being judgemental on looks than the women on this forum. If you don't believe me, start reading and see for yourself.

There are a lot of shallow people in the world and it is a shame that something like looks that would deter them from anything. There are a ton of women who have the desire inside and they also have that inner beauty. How they are on the inside reflect how they are on the outside. Looks is a secondary thing. Give me a woman with a great personality, deep passion for tickling and average looks over a drop dead beautiful woman with no personlity and no interest in tickling any day.

I'm a tall man with a large frame. I'm sure people hate sitting next to me on planes, too... And I don't blame them one bit. I don't fit into those little seats, and consequently my shoulder winds up invading the personal space of whomever is unlucky enough to have the seat next to me. My knees also generally prevent the person in front of me from adjusting their seat to the "reclined" position. Certain people don't fit into those tiny little seats on airplanes, and it is uncomfortable to sit next to them. I fail to see your point in referencing this particular comment as some sort of egregious slander against large people...

Yes... However, had this thread been started by a woman about a man at her work, you would have seen the opposite.
