Thanks bro! Where do I find Rosetta, havent even fought her yet, and what about finding the grand daughter, any tips on where to look for her? Im sure the reward I get from finding her will help in that fight too 🙂

The whole granddaughter quest isn't as spectacular as you may think it is. Even after you find her with her lover, you'll end up being on one of those fetch quests.

The only reward you get for all of your trouble is a Neglige (Protection): Resistance and Will +3.

I honestly don't think it's really worth the trouble until you're powerful enough to walk off the path south of Westernya.

Might be a glitch. Either that, or you're hung up on scenery. You definitely want to visit the back of the forest as there is a chest and an important item in there. But you'll only find that if you've talked to everyone in the town. Beyond that, I'd say it's time to visit your sister in the inn. Don't bother with the music witch yet as she is much too powerful for you right now. Come back to her later.

At this point, there's really nothing else you can do until you receive the mission. You can't increase your AP through random battles until you're able to cross the East Bridge.

FYI, since your HP and MP regenerate through walking, Screamer made the paths virtually monster-free so you can "rest" before fighting again. As soon as you leave the path, though, it's open season. Also, it's highly recommended you stick close to the path and don't go too far east (off the path) or else you might start fighting monster girls that are stronger than you are. Stay out of the beach areas near the water too since Land Sirens like hanging around there and they tend to be a bit overpowered regardless of your stats (and defeating them isn't worth any more AP than other enemies in the area). You might have to spend a few hours grinding before you can finally stand a chance against bosses.

It's highly recommended that you spend your AP in your Resistance first (followed by Power if you choose to). Each point makes a big difference. Mind is useless since it has no effect on your spell damage (regardless of what the game says).

Oh, and yeah, those areas you're walking over are most likely tiles that weren't set to the same plane as the character and has no real purpose to them. Just ignore them and move on. 🙂

You said you defeated the thief, correct?

Did you remember to return the Chest that you got back to the Mayor?

After that, you *should* see your sister at the Pub. Yes, the Pub, not the Inn. There is no Inn in the starting village.

After the scene, return to your home for the mission to seek out the Rebellious Witches. That'll allow you to finally go past the East bridge.

However, before you can go any further east, the same thief you finished off earlier will be there to bar your path. You either have the choice to give up all your gold or to fight her once again.

Okay, I don't know if anyone actually knows the answer to this or not, but I'll ask anyway.

On a rare random encounter, I stumble upon this enemy called a "Slave." At first, I thought it wasn't such a big deal until she had some scripted dialogue, stating to "Please, let me go."

Is there a point to this enemy? Thinking I had to be kind, I ran from the battle the first time. The second time I saw her, I skipped my turn until she ran away, leaving me with 0 AP.

I'm going to try attacking her next time I see her, but I'm just wondering if anyone else has stumbled across her?

Never came across that one. Whereabouts on the map did you find her?

It was a random encounter, one time it was east of Sandust, another was south of the Port of Jenova.

Have you started these subquests:

-Old man who wants Claire to look for his granddaughter.
-The 9 Old Coins.
-Went inside the music hall and talked to the guy inside.

Those are the only other quests available at the current point in the game.

Did you also make sure to talk to the farmer again after you defeated the imp?

Yep talked to the farmer, I just beat the thief and returned the chest, I have started the quest for the nine coins yet or talk to the Old Man and his grand daughter, Im going to do those now.

Finally got on my way! My mistake was I was trying to fight the opera singer first rather than go meet my sister at the pub, Im on my quest to find the gunslinger witch in the jungle.

Its alot trial and error with this game Ive notice, you just gotta be patient with it

Whoa, whoa. The Gunslinger Witch is in Westernya. The Techno Mage is the one in the jungle. And trust me, unless you have at least Electro Vellication and your Power and Resistance up to the fourth or fifth level, you're not going to survive the fight in the jungle. As for the Gunslinger witch, I suggest doing the Dark Elf quest first so you can purchase the Metal Rod and the Wooden Shield.

To do that, you need to go in Windaria Pass first and do the Swimsuit quest first. That's the only way you can start THAT quest.

Holy hell! Thanks for the headsup, good thing I didnt find her yet. This is one time that Im gald I didnt save, now I can go back and focus on gunslinger witch, Ive already help the elf get her get her swin suit

Rosetta is the gunslinger witch. You find her over at Westernya Town. After you cross the East bridge, just follow the path. You can't miss it.

You have to talk to the sheriff in the Sheriff Office to start your finding her. You must talk with everyone in the Pub, but make sure you're ready before you talk to the final person in there, because as soon as you leave, you're locked into fighting her.

I would suggest having at least Resistance Master (4th level) and the Wooden Shield (bought at Dark Elf Tribe) before taking her on since most of her attacks are Physical. If your Resistance is high enough, many of her attacks will be unable to damage you.

Although, if you really want to take on an easy target, I would suggest going after Carmilla (Puppet Master witch) first since she's weak against your basic Tickle Wave. To find her, you have to keep going straight past the East Bridge and keep going east off the path until you reach a path that leads upward.

Found Rosetta and she aint kind! She doesnt screw around she just straight shot me even after I got the Metal Rod and Wooden Shield, think I'll go for that puppet master instead

Yeah. It took me leveling up my Resistance to level four before I could finally withstand most of her attacks. I also had bought the Hunter's Cap around this time too, just for the Power and Resistance +1 stats. I saved Rosetta for my second witch.

I just cant beat her, Ive got the wooden shield, the hunter's hat, the metal rod and she just laughs at me and blows me away. Ive tried everything, I get one shot in on her and that's it, she ends it like she's trying to beat her personal best time. Is there another witch I can challenge or do I have to take her on first because Im convinced Im not beating her anytime soon, BAH! 😛issed :hang::52:

I should clarify. Your Resistance should be up to Acolyte (Level 3) or Master (Level 4). And I figure that you're better off going up either against the Puppet Witch or the Boss of Thieves.

For Carmilla (Puppet Witch), head to the path toward Windaria Pass. Keep going right until you reach the only long, thin fir tree. From there, head straight up. You'll eventually reach an "abandoned" house.

For Charlotte (Boss of Thieves), start from the East Bridge and begin heading down the path. As soon as you get to the wooden structure with wheels (wooden wheelbarrow?), take an immediate north off the path. You'll see the Thieves' Den in plain sight.
