I don't really ever draw realistic-like. These are the only samples I could find and they're probably several years old now. The first two are from photos I took (I couldnt find the photo for the first one) and the third is from a Jock Sturges photo.
I never really learned to work with color on paper. Only time I really use color is when I paint which, again, is rare. meh...why not. Ill throw a painting up there too. It's more recent than the drawings but still a few years old.

Yes, the technique.
How you did this, how you did that.

As in... lay a stencil over here, gently spray, then let cure, now, spray again.

The shark was done on blue Canson paper, mostly airbrush with a little brush work. You'd never get the blue that rich trying to spray white paper blue, so I picked a medium blue substrate and took the ranges up and down from there.

Read something about working from the main hue out.
I'll keep that in mind.

Pam is all airbrush with some brushwork for texture, but I doubt you can see it at this size.

Maybe the hat fibers?

I like to work with acrylic alot. It's dry by the time you stand back to see if it's right. Literally... 10 seconds. Gauche is nice, too, because you can work it like acrylic or watercolor.

I tried acrylic myself - but the modellist kind.

I'm going to chime back in here for a moment to say that in regards to deleting, I still stand by the fact that having deleted my own thread cost no one anything and it was a premptive action to avoid hostilities I knew would have happened. I think thats smart and thoughtful to everyone, not rude, mean, or what have you.

What I did, was in fact, no different than what Cheshire Cat did by deleting his own thread. He didn't want to have to, he had no intention of doing so, but it ended up going that way, and he was all the wiser for ending it as soon as possible and/or at the moment he saw a problem brooding.

Also, in regards to individual post deletions in my own forum, I'd like to clear up as a fact that the ones I have deleted are mostly spam and trolling. The idea that I would delete someone's opinion, whether I would agree with it or not, is not right to assume. I am not in the habit of deleting posts and it happens very infrequently, as do critiques for that matter. Which some want to press is something I do on a regular basis. If you call like every other month or so "all the time" (or sometimes longer than that), then your perception of time is a wee bit off me thinks. "All the time" would be like...critiquing every single picture or critiquing every day or week. It simply does not happen that way. It never has. I'm not a critique monger, and I'm pretty sure the honest people here know that.

I also agree with wendynpeter in the regard that I too get PMs, IMs, and sometimes e-mails from people congradulating me, thanking me, and encouraging me for saying what they didn't have the courage to outloud, in front of everyone. Much like several of you gather together to voice your opinion on an issue, people do that for me as well, just not in the same way. Because they cannot be publically accounted for, or for their own reasons would want to remain anonymous, it often makes it look like my responses and posts have no merit or support.

I'd just like to say that just like WnP, they do. I'm not trying to prove anything by this other than the backed validity of some of my statements, points of view, and opinions and that they are on equal ground with yours. It feels good to know you're not alone, ever.

I also get people PMing me for spiritual advice and discernment....but thats another matter. 🙂

This often gets on my nerves too, but I'm always calm about it and realize that they have their own reasons for not getting involved, and I have to respect that even though sometimes I wish they would say something.

The fact they agree with and support me is solice enough though, even if other people are never going to see it.
