I was at the 3rd game of the 1978 World Series at Yankee Stadium, where NY played the Dodgers. Craig Nettles gave a clinic at 3rd base, and almost single handedly turned the game (and the series) around for the Bronx Bombers!

One of these years I would like to spend the entire month of March in Florida and visit as many of the different teams as possible. During the summer months I have toured the Dodgers, Mets, Cardinals, Nationals, Braves, Astros and Devil Rays spring homes. Dodgertown in Vero Beach is my favorite, and Disney`s Wide World Of Sports, which is where the Braves play is my second choice.

I'm sorry, but as I'm a bit older, I grew up a Yankee fan with the great Mickey Mantle, Whitey Ford, Yogi Berra and Roger Marris. When they built Shea Stadium for the Mets in Flushing in 1964, at first we thought it was another pavillion for the New York World's Fair, which was also in the same general location. Eventually, as kids, we understood that the Mets were the National League replacement for the departed Brooklyn Dodgers and New York Giants.
