I went in to try to fix my 5 year old phone.

I had dropped it the other day and it was already having problems.

I decided to buy a brand new phone instead.

The race for the three NL Wildcards is very close.

Between the Padres, who are the #1 wild card at 81-64, and the Braves, who are not among the three wild card teams at 78-66, there are only 2.5 games.

This means that, over any given weekend, any one of four teams could become the #1 Wildcard team.

I was listening to my radio between classes and heard the crazy news.

It was the scariest day in my lifetime.

I didn't know anything unusual was happening until the 90-minute class was over.

I walked upstairs (from the 5th floor where the classroom was to the 8th floor where my office was) and realized that something horrible had happened when I heard some of a news radio broadcast coming out of the Assistant Deans' office.

The Dodgers broke their losing streak yesterday by beating the Cubs 10-8.

Along the way, they blew a 7-3 lead and the score was tied 7-7.
