I think I'm the only Asian-born Asian who prefers coffee to tea 😉

I keep trying different teas but I've never found anything I've liked other than Gray Earl. D:

Best coffee I regularly have is shell station's pumpkin cappuccino they come out with long about September or October. One of my favorite things about fall x)

Edit: I also sometimes cut it with hot chocolate. I know, I'm weird, but half hot chocolate half cappuccino (even pumpkin spice) is delicious.

Cutting it with hot chocolate is essentially what a mocha is! Its tasty and not at all weird.

As for pictures of my cats, imagine my avatar, sans the cigar. 😛

Tea, Earl Grey, Hot? XD

I like my herbal teas, especially mint. And yeah mocha is good but not mocha enough for me. It has to be REALLY chocolate for Karen to drink it x//D

I've never had any coffee. Doctors did some allergy tests on me since I'm allergic to everything, said I was allergic, so that in combination with the possibility of dependency, I decided to just never find out. lol

That's why soft drink addiction's the safe bet, in my book! No idea if coffee 'can' taste good, but I find it a most deceiving drink. Smells 'wonderful', but the taste is disgusting. >_<

And, wow! I thought 'I' had issues when dealing with doctors but, can't fathom what any of 'you' have had to go through! Infuriating as some of my situations may be, they were at least free, up here in the frozen igloo of Can-uh-DUH! :stickout

So, is everyone looking for the new 3DS to play Alpha Sapphire of Onega Ruby, or something? (Mine's currently charging, so *Nah-nana-an-naa-naa!* :lol)

Earl Grey! Man, I'm tired. D:

Listen, nothing wrong with chocolate. Anyone who says otherwise is a chocolate hater.

Edit:

I told K, and I'll tell you, I don't wanna get back into pokemon. My.. MY FREE TIIIIIIME! Though the new games do look awfully fun..

Woo! Asia for da' win!! XD Okay, you just got 'kind' of ways more awesome in my eyes now, and even more kinky in your intimidation. 😛

You don't really get 'back' into it. You've never really left, just taking an overly-extended break until your next return, is all. Don't really know all that's in it, yet, but the Mirage Spots seem a pretty nice change.

I was going through Youtube earlier, and a "You would like this" popped up and it was Top lists of some persons favorite Pokemon and it hit me right in the feels. Might do this thing. D:

I admit that soda was a weakness of mine haha, but I've cut back drastically to the point of almost never getting it in an overhaul-diet-effort to improve overall health. ;_;

And yeaaah it was far from free here. Go to the ER once without expensive insurance and you're looking at at least $5-6,000 bill!

As for Pokemon, THERE'S TOO MANY NOW *sobs* They have a literal garbage bag one, I'm done.

I drink one dr pepper a day for a caffeine boost midday. I used to drink a Mountain Dew, but my tolerance for caffeine was getting so high I had to cut back :/ the blue raspberry MD is the shit, though.

Senshi and I have OR/AS, but we also have so many other games we're playing that it's hard to keep them all going at once x)

I quit using sugary/cola-type beverages several years ago to avoid potential health pitfalls, and have also recently given up carbonated club soda in favor of healthier non-carbonated spring water. (Carbonated drinks, especially colas, are bad for bone density and can be dehydrating in the summer.)

I've gotten to the point now where soda is like an occasional cheapo dessert choice, maybe a handful of times a year. If you consciously focus on drinking lots of water every day, between and during meals (they say 8 cups a day is ideal), you'll eventually find it natural to shift away from soda. Simply looking optimistically at water for a daily routine might work better than looking pessimistically at soda, the latter still having that unfortunate effect of bringing it to mind every time you have to say "no!" to it. ^^;

Or, could also try to imagine, if in a given year you replace the cost of all the sodas you drank with free [filtered] tap water, how much money is saved? 😉

And speaking of teas, there's this incredible macadamia white tea they sell here...

Good choice! 😀
I used to always try to quit but it was like, when I drank water I'd never feel like my thirst was quenched, so I'd drink and get sick. But a sip of soda and I was good. Eventually, after I started on medication for all this crap I managed to push through to where water quenches it. It was so weird but I think maybe my body was addicted to the syrup/sugar?

I actually tried to filter the water here, had a nice filter and everything... but the water around here is just so terrible that even filtered it tasted horrid. (And it smelled like fish skin and rust??) I dunno what was up with that, so I end up getting cheap bottled water and recycling the bottles. lol

I'll go through a 32 pack in two weeks or less so I think Im finally staying hydrated. B)

I actually got a Dr. Pepper the other day and it was like... too thick, too sweet. I keep telling myself that it's disgusting and it's starting to work. Woo!

My problem is just I can't drink really anything else but water. I'm not a fan of fruity flavors so flavored water isn't so appealing, I'm allergic to citrus so lemonade and such is out, coffee, tea (the standard sweet-brown tea anyway). :I Milk induces vomitting (though I've been able to sip goat milk!), annnd juice spikes sugar or is the only thing on the planet that gives me heartburn. So. Water it is. LOL (I'm allergic to life, please. I'm even allergic to the SUN. I didn't even know that was POSSIBLE).

Also, congrats on your victory over soda! B)

Oh, I know two others who live here in HAWAII who are allergic to the sun as well (my mom being one of them), so it isn't that unheard of! Well, "too much sun," anyway. Breakout of hives. Jenna is downright horrified to hear of your citrus allergy, btw. :blink

We're rather lucky here in Hawaii in that our tap water is already naturally filtered, thanks to the porous volcanic rock it all runs through. It's too bad your water is that terrible. I'd mail you some volcanic rocks to use, but the Hawaiian goddess Pele would kick my ass. >_>

Did you know that those people (myself included) who sneeze when they leave the house are mildly allergic to the sun as well?

I had never heard of a sun allergy until Nuci mentioned she had one. That's rather amazing to know its possible, and scary.

Oh man that's just rough! ;__;
And yes, it is a sad life I lead *dramatic*

Citrus/Tea/Mold are the worst ones because they actually swell my throat and stop by breathing. The other foods just trigger migraines so sometimes I just say SCREW IT and take a migraine pill to eat XD

But there was a time I terrified poor Cal because I took a bite of Brie (a cheese aged with mold), and he had to rush me to the ER. :I One. Bite.

I did not know that O_O
I always thought it was something like pollen!

;__; This is why I just rolled with people in school nicknamin' me Vampire. Probably also part of the reason I'm nocturnal.

Hi, and welcome back.

The forum is still recovering from a raft of technical problems, but you may be able to access the chat room using a desktop browser with Java from the mobile link, http://client11.addonchat.com/chat.php?id=312264

Our chat provider is testing a newer version that would not depend on Java. If it turns out to be viable, we hope to upgrade.

Seems in my absence our glorious leader has posted in the social. This thread truly is a success.

And also the part about the sun allergy that I am too lazy to multiquote.

Omg... lol... I thought you were kidding when you said garbage bag pokemon, but then Google came to the rescue.

(Okay, so not even HTML code works for inserting images. wt actual f?)

And I'm not actually allergic to the sun, but I'm still very nocturnal. I just burn really easy. I actually NEVER wear T-shirts or shorts. Of any kind. Ever. Even in 100 degree weather.
