Tormented Soles - A Tickling RPG (Roleplaying Thread)

Not open for further replies.
"I concur with Rachel," Draco said while leaning heavily on Night Raptor, "How do you know Grey Fox?"

"Draco," Roberta stated, "You need to calm down."

"He won't do it Roberta," Night Raptor said before Draco could reply, "He is very proud."

Draco, and Night Raptor suddenly heard a low whistling sound, but before they could determine what it was, Draco howled in pain saying, "Hyminuto." Night Raptor eased Draco down to the ground and the group saw a horrible sight. Embedded in Draco's right shoulder was a arrow. Night Raptor growled and turned to the direction where the arrow came from. Hissing violently at the sight of at least ten Bounty Hunters.

"Good shot Millu," the leader of this group said.

"Thank you my lord Dracko," replied Millu.

Night Raptor was still growling and had his Scythe ready and shouted to the group, "You will pay for that."

"I don't think so," Dracko laughed, "Not while I am holding this."

"What is that?" Roberta asked.

"Dragons baine," replied Night Raptor without turning from Dracko, "It is the only cure or antidote for Draconian, a fowl poison for my kind."

"That's correct," Millu laughed, "I give him, oh, five more minutes before the poison reaches critical point."

Night Raptor starts to advance but stops once he realizes that other archers are ready to release more poisoned arrows, "What do you want Dracko?"

"I want Draco dead," Dracko said, "And the rest of you captured and taken to my king, King Thoth, alive."

"Blast you," Night Raptor yelled.

What will become of this latest group of Bounty Hunters? Stay tuned to find out.

(OOC: Cassandra, Country, ElFewja, and any others that are with my characters, please feel free to chime in on this latest plot. Remember this, Night Raptor HAS to get the antidote to save Draco, and you better believe that Night Raptor will do all he can to save his half baby brother.)

(wonderful, and I managed to leave all of my good equipment at the Inn. Hue, before I post, though, where are the archers? Are they in the middle of the street, on a building top, etc.? Grr, hope theyre in a street.. lol.)

"We need to get into an alley way of some sort.. less room for their type of tactics. Rather, thats how we should go about it.. but.. 5 minutes til this guy dies.. Eh. And, I wouldn't trust them to let him live, even if they got what they wanted. After all, they want him dead. Draco, have your friends distract them; Waylander, I think you'll be of more help if you follow me."

A bit louder, so as to just be over heard by his enemies;
"Hmph.. sorry draco, but I value my life a bit more than this situation is willing."

He only hoped he had guessed right about the surrounding area; if he did, he would be able to catch these fools from behind, if not, he'd be in a dead end. Either way, he would do much more damage in an alley, and at least take a few of them with him, if it came to that. Lucius turned directly opposite the way they had been moving, and ran.

"Come, or you'll be captured." he spoke to the two women, before ducking into an alley way between a few buildings. Lucius ran down a few feet, ducked to the right, then straight down another alley. A cellar door happened to be set here, which seemed a good spot to at least hide, and possibly defend oneself with ease if necessary.

"I suggest you two hide in here; and be quiet." (assuming both Rachel and Rilina followed)

"Lets do this, Waylander."

Again Lucius made with a sprint, this time reaching into his coat pockets and breaking the seals on his scabbards. There would be no escape from using them this time, and he would need to be ready to draw them in a flash. Again, Lucius approached the intersection, but this time he took a left, then a right. He successfully came up behind the bounty hunter group, but kept to the shadows. There wasnt much time, but if they rushed, there would be no chance at success. He waited.

"Looks as if your comrads abandonded you, Draco. Well, I can settle with half of my mission now; the other half should be just as easy."

Lucius hoped that Night Raptor and Roberto made their move soon, but if they didn't, he'd have to move alone.

(Hopefully waylander does follow me, Id prefer not to rush this by myself. As for the situation hue, I was hoping that your characters would attack, and all that, but a frontal assault wouldnt work well. Id think it best not to kill everyone we ran into, because thatll lead a line straight towards us, but whatever it takes, eh?)

(And, Hue, lets wait for the others to catch up to our actions; last post on Rilina, she was still in the bar, and Id prefer that waylander caught up. Just because we only have 3 ish min on your characters life, doesnt mean we should rush ahead without everyone =p. 3 min can be 3 days for all this games time system cares =p.)

Actually, Rachel dragged Rilina along when the party left the tavern. But if ticklishrilina would rather be on her own, she can like sneak away or something.

(Some of the archers on in the street and some are on Building Tops. Roberta and Night Raptor are still near Draco. Roberta and Night Raptor will NEVER leave a comrade behind, IF they can help it. The nerve, thinking that Draco's partners would abandon him. Reminder: Night Raptor is Draco's HALF OLDER BROTHER, and Night Raptor wilL NOT leave the last of his family behind. Yes, 3 or 5 minutes could be several days, but the clock will tick down once I resume the story from my characters point-of-view.)

So much was going on! Through all the chaos, the young man had stood up and moved off to the side where he could simply watch with an amused expression. Fighting, people running, he wondered if he happened to get a drink on an important day...or this was just the daily rush hour.

Chuckling, he folded his arms over his chest, brow raising slightly. "I might be able to find some sort of a job with these crazy people...it looks like they need someone to do something everyday."

He glanced about a few times, strands of brown hair whipping slightly, before he hurried out of the tavern as well. Though his reasons were so he wouldn't have to pay for the drink, he was short on money as it was.

Robert's Uneasy Feeling!

Back in Port Kaphraktos, Robert had an uneasy feeling in him.

"Are you all right dude?" Hugh (the stranger who is now the bartender of The Poison Apple Tavern) asked.

"I will be," Robert replied, "Can y'all handle things here for me?"

"Of course," NIGHTMARE replied.

"Where are you going?" asked RAPTOR.

"It doesn't concern you RAPTOR," Robert commented, "I will be gone for a few days though."

"Okay boss," Hugh stated, "I'll keep watch over the Tavern for you along with these other gentlemen."

"Thank you very much Hugh," replied Robert.

"Take care Robert," NIGHTMARE said.

"Good luck Master Robert," RAPTOR commented.

"Thank you my friends," Robert said with a bow and off he went, towards Bisanthium, but by a different way than the way Roberta, Draco, and Night Raptor took, as to deal with this uneasy feeling by himself.

(Wait, now Im lost; who exactly *was* with Draco, er, your other characters, hue. To me, your posts are always a bit confusing; meh =/)
(Meh, since Rilina is being dragged by Rachel, and didn't make the actions herself.. and since I didn't see anywhere in the post Rachel grabbing Rilina's boots, I think Ill have had my character take them at one point or another. She can have them back when I feel shes earned them? *shrug* I dunno, I can have some fun with it <_>)

((Okay, at this point the last thing she'd do is think of running from the person literally dragging her away fromm the nasty armed men. She doesn't have her dagger on her, she is not that great a fighter anyway, and if any guards get away they'll know she's a criminal. She'll stick with Rachel).

Rilina limps barefoot along as Rachel helps her move away from the bar room brawl that is escalating far beyond simple that. She is still short of breath, and sweat sticks parts of her clothes to her. She takes the opportunity to breathe heavily, glad for it.

"I didn't..." she begins, panting "do all the things they said I did." She clarifies a little bit breathlessly to her rachel rescuer. "Some of them...but not all." And then she just works on moving with Rachel, and keep her tender bare feet from stepping in too much icky stuff until she can get some sandals or something.

"Where are we going?"

They had been surrounded so quickly that it had to have been a trap. And a good one. Using battle strategy and cunning, this new group of hunters had taken a guess as to their plan of escape. Questions and demands. They had shifted from the former to the latter so quickly that Waylander just remained silent. Overhearing the statements made by the leader of this new group of hunters, and the plans from the man they had called Lucious, he had calculated a strategy of his own. Knowing that the archers had poisoned arrows, he would have to be a little more careful than usual. He waited for the right time, eyeing an alley.

The right time came suddenly. Lucious darted down the alley, and Waylander followed. Hearing the sound of a loosened bowstring, he stopped, flashed his hand up, and caught the arrow before it sailed over his head and into Lucious. Good shot, but not good enough. Stowing it under his cloak, he fingered his sword as he ran. Deciding it best not to be too obvious about their position, he decided to draw it only if unavoidable. He was hoping that Lucious would make a move soon. In less than three minutes the one called Draco would die. Unless....remembering an antidote recipe taught to him a long time ago, he quickly took out a small packet of his own poison. When they stopped for a bit, he dipped a small dagger into it, and returned it to his sleeve. Only one thing left to do....

He found a small opening through a wall. Seeing Dracko, he quickly took aim, and flung the dagger into his shoulder. Then, signaling for Lucious and any of the others who were watching to stay where they were, he calmly began to walk to the opening, addressing Dracko in a loud and deep voice. "Dracko, your life will end in about two hours, thanks to the poison from my dagger. It was taught to me by my mentor. Its called Foxfire, due to the intense burning pain you will soon begin to feel. The antidote is known only to me, and it takes at least an hour to begin working. You and your men are to immediately surrender yourselves and the Dragon's Baine, or one of my friends will immediately kill me, and with it any hope of you surviving. You may kill me, but you will soon follow, although your death will be far worse than mine. Give up now or you will not see the sun set this day."

Rachel did not reply when Rilina asked her where they were going. She was preoccupied with running from the tavern, trying to keep up with the rest of the group, and then talking to Waylander. When Draco was poisoned, Rachel (and Rilina, assuming that she wasn't going to do something else) followed Lucius to the back alley where a cellar door provided a good place to hide while the men fought off the bounty hunters.

When Lucius left the two girls to join the battle, Rachel yanked open the wooden cellar door. It led to an almost pitch dark room, completely silent if not for the sounds of battle. She stepped in and waved for Rilina to follow her.

(OOC: While Rilina and I wait for the end of the battle with Dracko, our characters can chat and find out a little more about each other. Because if I'm not mistaken, Rachel shouldn't even know Rilina's name yet and vice versa.
In addition, they could both be captured before the battle is over. I would want to know if ticklishrilina is okay with that, since it would not make sense for an abductor to grab just one of them and ignore the other.)

(Roberta and Night Raptor, since these were the only three that were...um...welcome in Bisanthium without arousing complications. Robert is a Mercenary/Wanderer, and both NIGHTMARE and RAPTOR are wearing armour or in RAPTOR's case, armour boots. My apologies for any confusion and thank you for being honest. I will try to avoid that in the future.)

(This is a forewarning that this next scene will be very violent and bloody. Viewer Discreation is advised for the faint of heart.)

Seeing Waylander, Rachel, Rilina, and Lucious making their moves to find cover and the really nice grab of the passing arrow by Waylander, Roberta and Night Raptor are planning their next move. Suddenly a rooftop archer Bounty Hunter screams as he falls to the ground in front of Roberta, Night Raptor and the rest of the Bouny Hunters. Roberta looks up at the roof where the Bounty Hunter fell and saw the rest of Bounty Hunters battling someone.

"It's Robert," Roberta commented.

"What the hell," Dracko said as he looked at this newcomer battling his best archers, "Millu, shoot him NOW."

"Yes my lord," Millu said as he turned toward Robert, loaded an arrow, pulled back and was about to release the arrow when he yelled out out. The arrow soared and struck another rooftop Bounty Hunter. Roberta had throw one of her throwing stars into Millu's neck striking him dead. Dracko was furious and turned to face Roberta and his look of anger changed into a look of horror. Dracko looked all around and DID NOT see Night Raptor ANYWHERE.

As Dracko continued his search for Night Raptor, a Bounty Hunter fell in front of him, slashed up nearly to pieces. Shortly later, there an earth shaking thud that came from directly behind him. Before Dracko could turn around, Night Raptor's Scythe sliced through his neck, taking off his head and blood and tissue sprayed up in the air from the beheading. Night Raptor picked up the antidote, sprang into the air and flew over to his brother.

Robert had joined Roberta over looking Draco.

"Is he going to make it?" Roberta asked Robert.

"He will now," replied Night Raptor, "Now that I have this, step aside Robert."

"Is that you brother," Draco said weakly.

"Yes baby bro," Night Raptor replied, "I am here and I am going to heal you now."

"It's too late for that," Draco whispered and was gasping for breath, "Forgive me." Draco closed his eyes after saying that.

"Draco," Night Raptor growled, "Draco, stay awake." No response came from Draco. Robert stepped forward, knelt down and felt for a pulse, none came from Draco.

"I'm sorry my friend," Robert said to Night Raptor as he took ahold of Roberta who was crying, "We will give you some space." Robert took Roberta a few yards away.

Night Raptor knelt down over Draco, and then roared loud and long. He had lost the last of his family and kind. Night Raptor said to himself, "Damn to all humans, DAMN THEM ALL!" Then he remembered something. "Robert," he yelled, "Get over here quickly." Robert came over.

"What is it?" Robert asked.

"I need you to hold Draco up like this," Night Raptor replied.

"Okay," Robert said as he help up Draco in the position that Night Rapotr had instructed, "What are you going to do?"

"Get this arrow out of Draco's shoulder," Night Raptor replied, "Watch yourself on that side." Without waiting for a response, Night Raptor pushed the arrow all the way through Draco's body until the head popped out on the front side. Draco's eyes snapped open and he roared in pain.

"Take it easy Draco," Night Raptor growled, "The worst part is over."

"Easy for you to say," Draco hissed.

"Robert," Night Raptor said, "Take your kinfe and cut off the head of the arrow." Robert drew his knife and sliced off the head.

"Done," Robert said as he sheathed his knife. Night Raptor pulled out the rest of the arrow and applied the Dragons baine to the wounds. Then, Night Raptor wrapped a cloth around the Dragons baine and the wounds to allow the wounds to heal. Next, Night Raptor, with Robert's help picked up Draco.

"Thanks," Draco said

"Your welcome," Robert replied.

"Time to get some Dragon Root for that leg of yours buddy," Night Raptor said.

"Got some right here," Robert replied taking out a purple and red plant.

"Good," Draco said, "I'll take that." Robert handed Draco the Dragon Root, and Draco applied it to his wounded leg. Robert wrapped up the wound for Draco since Draco's right arm was in a sling.

The group turned at the sound of a sword being unsheathed and saw the remaining 4 Bounty Hunters. 3 were ready to release arrows and the 4th had just drawn his sword.

"Time to die," yelled Eddie, "FIRE!"

The 3 archers released their arrows, but Robert stepped into their flight path. The arrows hit Robert in his arms and chest, but Robert did not fall over like the Bounty Hunters thought he would.

"Is that the best you got?" Robert asked laughing, "My turn." With that Robert drew his knife and sickle. Robert raced toward the Bounty Hunters, and soon was upon them. Robert sliced off an arm of one, legs by the knees of another, thrusted his knife into the head of one causing bllod and tissue to spray out from the wound, and sliced another vertically in half.

(the two that had an arm and their legs cut off are still alive at this point.)

"2 down," Roberta commented.

"2 to go," finished Draco. Robert laughed and began circling the remaining two Bounty Hunters.

"What to do? what to do?" Robert chuckled to himself. The one with an arm chopped off began to run. Robert threw his knife into his back, and took his sickle and plunged it deep into the back off the legless man who was trying to crawl away. Robert ripped his sickle out of the back of the Bounty Hunter and went to fetch his knife. Yanking out his knife, Robert smiled and said, "Now that is done, it is time for a drink." Roberta, Draco, and Night Raptor laughed.

"What about those arrows Robert?" asked Draco once he stopped laughing.

Robert just snorted and yanked out the arrows, tossed them away and said, "Satisfied."

"Very," replied Draco.

"I am surprised that you came Robert," Roberta said, "After all, this town doesn't welcome mercenaries like yourself."

"Geez sis," Robert began, "You forget that I am a wanderer as well as a mercenary. I can merely pass for a wanderer as easily as a mercenary."

"Okay," replied Roberta. The group walked to the Tavern to have a drink before, Robert at least, left the town.

"I'm taking flight now," Night Raptor said, "I want to see if there are any more Bounty Hunters around in this town."

"Be careful Night Raptor," Robert advised, "And happy hunting."

"Thank you," replied Night Raptor, "I believe I will." Night Raptor, Robert, Draco, and Roberta laughed, then Night Raptor transformed into his dragon form and took off in search for more Bounty Hunters.

"I envy him," Draco commented.

"In what way?" Roberta asked as they made their way to the tavern.

"His hunt for more Bounty Hunters," replied Draco.

Will Night Raptor be successful in his hunt, or does he have 'other' plans to fulfill? Find out next time.

(Mm, yea Cassandra, the name things been one of the things that had been bothering me, but, you know, lets just let it slide. Its a pain to say Im adressing this persons character because I dont know their name, and all that =p. Future reference thing, maybe?
And country, since lucius would have not noticed the arrow bit, Ill give my thanks for him lol. You can catch arrows and all, but can you slice and dice =p? And eh, at the moment I dont exactly feel like being evil, so rachel will probably just get her boots back and Ill probably just wander off. Dunno, depends on how things play out, I guess.)
Tch.. that was a nice shot, Lucius had to admit. Very well played, anyway; their leader for one of our own. Least they gave up and ran, but the command to hold was a little much. Not that he couldn't have stopped them but.. well, it probably would have jepordized things.. eh! The cowards were just running down the middle of the streets, they wouldn't get very far, anyway. Still, had to be stopped before it caused any commotion. With that, Lucius took off at a dash, with his now unsheathed short swords in hand. They had had a head start, and also had bows, but he might be able to catch up. He could take them, if it came to that.
And there they were, not even a block away! Fools, they turned a corner and decided to rest, thinking no one would have the gaul(speeling, cause I think thats spelled like gaul the country =/) to follow them. Blast them for not being right around the corner, he could have dealt with that easy. 20 feet away was a bad position for him to just show up at, and them with bows. Of course they werent nocked(sp), but each would at least get one shot off.. well, he had lived a full life, anyway. Lucius moved towards his targets, and by the time he was within 10 feet, they had noct arrows, and fired. Lucius made an attempt to dodge them, but at that range, it was futile. At least he managed to only take them in the shoulder; came to be a bit of a problem when using his left arm, but he was dominant in the right, so that worked out well. A second later and Lucius was within range, and with a few quick flashs of steel, the strings on the bows were cut in two. Disarmed, at least they wouldn't be able to fight back. Good thing, too; the others would be too rash in their actions, and more than likely kill them. If they did that, then there would be no way to find out what was going on until more were sent after them. It would have been much easier to slit their throats, but then, Lucius at least wanted them alive, for now. Wincing from the pain, Lucius moved his left arm in line with his right, dropped his weapons, and took the two by the throats. The hard part was over, but his arm burned from the movement. Poison, probably; the cowards.

"I'll make this simple.. whatever poison you had in there.. if it kills me, then you die too."

Light headed.. not a good sign. Questioning them, analyzing the answers for possible traps.. it would take too much focus. He couldn't do that right now. Save it for later, he decided, and focused on staying alive for the moment. It occured to Lucius that he had said nothing before chasing these two, and that there was a low chance anyone saw him leave.. well, he was dead if no one came, so he could only hope.

(Etc.)

((OF course it is okay, Cassandra, the point of this is for ticklees to be tickled, and the ticklers to tickle us, possibly after they save us from the other ticklers 🙂 I would love to be captured 😉))

Rilina looks around the cellar they find themselves in, panting slightly. She offers a little bit of a curtsy, and whispers. "I'm Rilina.." she then shivers, the dampness effecting her. She's sweating, and barefoot, not a great combo. She digs in her pouches and pulls out a little packet of herbs, which she downs half of. She offers the rest to Rachel.

"It's for warmth."

"Thanks." Rachel put the other half of the herbs in her mouth, chewing it slowly, then swallowing it. It did provide some warmth, especially since she was still scantily clad in the dancer's outfit. "I'm Rachel. Sorry about what I did to you in the tavern. The crowd was demanding it, and I know there would be consequences if I don't carry out their demands." She looked away sheepishly, hoping that Rilina would understand the situation.

Rachel walked slowly around the cellar, awaiting Lucius' return with the news that the bounty hunters had been dealt with. The cellar doors were firmly shut but not bolted or locked, which was how the two girls entered in the first place. It must have been negligence on the part of whoever owned this building. Rachel wandered to the opposite end of the cellar where there was another door.

However, she was alarmed by footsteps coming from the other side of the door. Before she could step back, the door was flung open and someone grabbed her by the arms. "Aaaahh...!" Rachel screamed for a moment. A very brief moment which gave the stranger time to knock her unconscious with a short wooden club to the back of her head. She was dragged through the door, then the mysterious person returned for Rilina...

(OOC: I'll let Rilina post on how her character gets captured. I didn't give any descriptions for this mysterious person who showed up so that anyone who isn't involved in anything can insert himself/herself into the story. It can also be one of the people who just signed up, or an NPC played by one of the volunteers for one-shot chars.)

Rilina gives a wan little smile and offers a shrug. "You do what you have to do, I completly understand." She says, sitting down to rub her feet and get the herb enhanced warmth back in to them. She may be sitting but she is damn quick when she sees Rachel konked and dragged. She stands.

And then she tries to run through to door, shrieking and yelling. A wad of chemically treated cloth comes over her mouth. Rilina catches a look at the man's face and as she fades out of consciousness, her last thought it:

I sold him that herbal mix...he said it was for insomnia.

(well, whatever, I didn't intend the poison to exactly be deadly, anyway. Besides, Im bored. That, and Id kind of be a bit upset if all the work our characters went through was put to waste by the girls getting taken again? I dunno, lol.)

Figures.. run off by yourself, and you die. Can't let these two get away, but if I stay put.. grr. Well, he thought, he could at least take them a bit closer to the group. So, thats what he did; hurt like hell, though. Before he left, he made sure his dropped weapons were at least out of the middle of the road. Not quite out of sight, but at least they would take a good while to find, and probably actuall searching. Lucius adjusted his grip on the two, threatened their lives so they wouldn't fight back, and directed them forward. They had no weapons, and running would be fatal, so he had little to worry about. Of course they walked slower than he would have wished, probably hoping he dropped from the poison, but that wouldn't happen. At any rate, it took longer than he wished, but eventually they were close enough to where the fight had been to see Waylander and the others. Draco appeared to be missing, though; the whole dragon thing was a bit out of place, but eh, in todays world nothing surprized him. Just hoped he would be back soon, or back at all for that matter.

"Hey.. caught these two, ya know? Im gonna go make sure our friends are ok, then. (I'll)Deal with my wound here after that, then."

So he couldn't walk off the poison, wonderful. Not that he actually thought that would work, but.. eh. Funny, he thought, these alleys didn't seem quite as long before, and time and all seemed a bit longer than usual. At any rate, it wasn't a very strong poison; wouldn't kill him, anyway. He hoped he turned left here at this part of the alleys. Losing focus was always a bad thing, induced drowsiness and all that. What seemed to him hours was probably minutes, he knew, but at last he came to the door he had hoped he used before. It would take a little explaining as to why he was going around opening other peoples doors and walking in, which he didnt quite have the energy to do anymore. It opened, he walked down a ways and approached two women. A bit blurry, but they resembled who he had left earlier. Hmph, they didn't have to stare at him like they were. But then, he probably didn't look entirely great himself, arrows sticking out of his shoulder and all. He let himself fall to the ground; it was taking too much energy to stand anymore, anyway. With the fall, he noticed one of the fool women was standing around barefoot - a silly thing to be doing in the streets and in an unknown cellar. But then, he did have her boots, he guessed. Well, they werent doing Lucius any good, so he reached into his magic pocket of holding and withdrew them.(because I have no idea how else I would have had them. If you dont know what a magic bag of holding is, its basicly a bag that has a mini dimension inside - you can fit anything in it aside from another magic bag of holding. Never put a mini dimension inside of another mini dimension, bad things happen. As for it being a pocket, its a play on words.)

"Well, I wanted to collect what you took from me, through entertainment if you didn't have the money anymore, or simply because I felt like it, but they wont be doing me any good. That, and I probably could use a herb or two."

With that, he leaned onto the wall and tossed the boots near her feet. A bit dirty, he noticed, but still pretty. He sighed, knowing that giving her the boots back would probably keep him from getting near or seeing her feet again, but his life was a bit more worth petty entertainment at ths point. The thought crossed his mind of charging a steep price for being body guard to both the women that they couldn't pay, but that was a bit on the side of being rude. That, and he didn't know exactly how much the noblewoman had with her. Eh, thinking was taking too much energy, so he just laid himself back against the wall and waited, focusing on nothing in particular.

(K, people posted while I was, and I dont want to edit mine *cries* Ill do this later, if I have to >_<)

(Tear, and I really wanted to get a chance to tickle them lol. Oh well, I can wait; lets just assume that I got there before the kidnappers did, then they ignored me for dead, and all that. Although, if you two really want to be tickled, you can stay put; I mean, theres 5 or 6 of us willing to do it, probably, lol. And Im surprized Rilina hasnt gone for revenge just yet. But right, theres the explanation to the above post. Hallelujah. Back to trying to sleep.)

Wordlessly and with no apparent effort, Reynaldo Vega carried the two unconscious females through an alleyway--one over each shoulder. With each of his long strides, the sounds of some battle a few streets away subsided.

While silent, inside he questioned the purpose of this mission. In the past five years, he had embarked on innumerable errands--some of his own calling, others on the whim of those willing to pay.

But this one... Reynaldo had never heard such a request.

"Bring me the apothecary," his client had requested. "I have... a use for her."

But Reynaldo obeyed. First, he scouted his target--purchasing some herbs just days earlier. An innocent enough errand; after all, he had heard from a roaming gypsy that a blend of such elements, mixed to precise calculation, could at least diminish his problem.

His plan to take her at the tavern had been foiled by this dancing girl. During the chaotic battle, he followed--not by sight so much as by scent. Once trailing them to the cellar, it was easy enough to subdue them with his superhuman quickness--no doubt making the apothecary believe there were multiple attackers when only one existed.

But he had not counted on the dancing girl in his plans. And his client had been specific about leaving no witnesses when the abduction was made.

Hearing the approach of footsteps, Reynaldo paused, ducking into the shadows while still shouldering his twin burdens. As he waited, Reynaldo pondered the purpose his client had in mind for the apothecary. Never had he heard of such a thing! Recalling the client's words, and the anticipation within the voice--the burgeoning lust, even--he could not repress a shudder.

With the noise past, Reynaldo continued, quickly crossing the street before ducking into another dark secondary avenue.

(This should stir things appropriately; I could see him having to stop somewhere hidden during the day--Bisanthium's a big place, after all.)

Waylander somehow knew he could count on his distraction of the entire bounty hunter group to give his new allies enough time to make their moves. Seeing the new action begin to unfold, he ducked back into the alley, dodging two more arrows. Now he was free to unleash his wrath on these simple bountry hunters.

Moving stealthily in the shadows, he snuck up behind two bounty hunters who were fearfully walking along the alley way, weapons at the ready. In one swift movement, Waylander unsheathed his sword in an upward and horizontal strike, beheading the two cowardly men, then dashed onward. Coming across a fallen bow and arrow pouch, he picked it up and, finding the nearest archer on the wall, he let loose an arrow. His comrade, who had been crouching next to him, stood up looking around. He, too, received an arrow in the face for his efforts. Continuing onward, he let loose an arrow at a passing bounty hunter, then, out of arrows, smacked the one next to him in the neck with the bow, breaking it. The man didn't quite fall, so Waylander rapped the bowstring around his neck, and squeazed. The man struggled, then went limp. Waylander dropped him and kept running, taking a left into the next alley. Through a series of twists and turns he managed to run into Lucious, leaning against a wall as if he were holding it up. He was bleeding, which was expected, but the blood from his wound was a little discolored. Poison, no doubt. But something was bothering him. He had not heard or even seen the women since he and Lucious had left them hiding. He had doubled back only to find that they were not there anymore. "Lucious, you must tell me, where are the girls? Where is Rachel?"

At the apothecary

They did most of the work for us... how naive fierce and strong warriors can be sometimes.... Ayal Kosqati, the infamous slaver, was playing with some of the herbs container in the little but well organized apothecary.

He and the double faced Bregan Mokhar, the constable, had a deal with Ajeje Brazorf, the owner of Dragon's Way. As soon as they saw the show going on in there, the petite blonde thief being tickled mercilessy by the charming mysterious dancer, Ayal's slaver eye glowed instantly: the both of them would make a perfect entertainment slave's duo, even if they were good enough to be sold separately. Obviously, before selling them to some drooling merchant or some perverted local notable, he would have fun with them himself...

The Black chain mail warrior, who was proposing them something about enslaving and then buy the dancer, came definitively too late... You have to think and act fast, if you want to have a business as a slaver in Shantiu: too much concurrence, and too dangerous.
As the trouble in the tavern began, he sneaked out and reached the apothecary: the little thief was well known in town, and he knew where she lived.

The exotic guy they hired to take the little thief, who will certainly bring them the dancer too (he was smart enough to understand by himself that the refined veiled woman was worth a better "look"...) should come in a short time... Then they would have real fun examining their preys... He loved his work so much!

At Dragon's Way

"Mmmhh... They always break just while it is getting to the best!", lamented Castorp. He was really enjoying seeing the poor helpless blonde girl in stocks getting hysteric, and the pretty dancer taking her time to let her really experience the worst out of the situation, also considering that she would have ended up in the stocks herself soon... Oh, well, good things never last!

He lazily stood up, while all the other from the audience were complaining loudly, not only for the interruption of the show, but also for all the mess and blood those furious guys made in and out the tavern. Castorp couldn't help but strengthen his conviction that cities suck...

Ok, maybe Luna, the pretty waitress was still around... Here she was! "Hey... the show has been way shorter and less wicked than you promised". The girl were looking really afflicted: "I know, I know... not only, now a hell of a night awaits for me...", she looked with a shudder at Ajeje, who was grinning with satisfaction, even after all that mess: he probably gained something in this situation, he always did...

"Do you have an idea of what's like to be forced to be tortured mercilessy, with no way out, and with no idea how that could last?", asked Luna rethorically and irritated. "Well, actually yes... I have been in Halthrea's prisons for a while... They are not tender with their "guests", you know...", now was Castorp's turn to have a shudder, remembering those "laughing" days...

The girl changed her expression and suddendly had an idea: "Sir, are you interested in making a good action, that will certainly bring luck and joy, since the Gods reward the pure of hearts, and as a side effect gaining some easy money and having at disposal the services of a former "bred for ticklissness" slave (on a time limitated basis, intended...)?". Castorp looked at the pretty maiden, who seemed really nervous, with fear: "Trouble going on here, Castorp... better take the door quickly..."... but he never listened to his common sense part, plus the girl looked really good, and so looked her feet too, she was massaging them... "And this former slave should be you I guess...", grinning.

Luna's expression was a little upset: evidently she gave out a secret that she would have preferred to keep for herself... but she has to be in real trouble, or was simply fed up with the life she was leading there. He could understand that a job as a waitress in a tavern like that, and with a owner like that, shouldn't be exactly a happy life.
"Well, tell me what you have in mind, we could have a deal..."

A Late Entrance

((OOC: My character will be refined in the bios a little later. There won't be many changes, because I want the overall character to remain the same. But with credit to Kalamos, I'm giving him a companion. My Char. physical traits may differ a little bit, but bear with me until it gets ironed out.))

Stapleton wandered wearily into the village. He could'nt read so the name of the place he was in was merely jumbled objects scrawled above the entrance. It did'nt matter to him where he was anyways. Just so long as there was a warm bed to rest himself. "We have arrived Makambo." he said looking down at his travelling companion. A rather large creature it was, with long wirey hair. Although it was normally friendly the animal seemed to have a constant sneer on its face. It was nearly as tall as it's master, with a large chest which seemed to give the animal a proud stance. It was part wolf, and appeared part Hyena. Stalpleton wasn't sure, but it seemed to resemble one, in a book his Father Maki had shown him.
The dog looking creature turned his massive head towards his master with weary yet happy yellowish red eyes. He wagged his tail a few times and waited for Stapleton to continue. Being of slightly below average height of a human, many people here had ignored him for the most part. They knew of the Elvan race, however this one seemed different from others. His skin was more on the olive green tone, and his arms were a little more defined. As were his legs and torsoe. He smacked his hand against his leg, summoning his companion to follow, and made his way down the main stone road, or at least what he thought was the main stone road.
With the angry looking animal at his side most people gave the newest stranger more room then neccesary. The street was almost baren except for a few people who appeared to be locking up buildings. He paid little attention to those around him, including people who would appear out of the shadows. With Makambo at his side, the ones who dared step too close, were greeted with a deep throated snarl.
Images of people retreating into more buildings flashed through his head, so with no fear of harm coming his way, he continued to make his way up the road with confidence. He suddenly stopped in front of a building a stranger was entering. In his mind appeared an image of the stranger taking a drink from a large glass object. He commanded Makambo to lie still and wait. The wolf dog immediately laydown by the doorway and would not move until his master had returned to him. Regardless of the amount of time or the sudden urge to chase a cat or another dog who wandered the street in search of food.
Stapleton entered the strange building and looked curiously around his surroundings....

(OOC, I'm thinking Vega might just leave Rachel somewhere--because he doesn't want to subject her to the same fate that he knows awaits Rilina. What do the characters involved think of this?)

(OOC: that could be developed when your char meet the slaver in the apothecary)
