I was forgetting the important part of it all.
No player/character can be forced to do anything at all.
Nobody should fear his/her/its char to be raped, killed, harassed, molested, and so on.
Not out of the blue, at least, and not without the player's full consent.
The nice thing about an e-RPG, and the main difference between it and a MMORPG, is chars never interact unsupervised.
Nobody can force interaction upon a char or a player.
Also: this is no frantic "point and click" game. You can - and should - take your time, when posting game actions. 🙂
You shouldn't feel "rushed" to do things.
If you can't really keep up the pace of the adventuring party your char is with, and you'd rather personally control your char, instead of having the narrators "autopilot" it, when you are away, you can work out an agreement.
You could lay out a plan with us, so we know what you are looking for.
Or you could part ways with the party, and play on at your own pace.
No choice is usually barred; we can always talk over it. 🙂
Also, about rules... they are guidelines.
Just play on; if for some reason, we feel what you post should be changed, don't feel punished at all. We'll edit the post, preserving as much of the original contents as possible, and you'll notice it when you next log on [I usually add the green-arrow-button beside].
Editing posts has nothing to do with censoring players.
Let's assume you post an action stating your char rides from point A to B, then talks to a certain fellow.
We could interrupt your action; maybe that fellow is not there anymore, when you reach B.
Maybe you could run into another char, somewhere between A and B.
Or your horse could be tired, your could be waylaid by bandits, bad weather might slow you down...
I'll add an explanation to rules and "customs" soon. 🙂
