While the anime doesn't interest me at all (Though I guess I don't really give it a chance...the name alone scares me off) I did check out some of your fanfictions to experience your writing in a more ...complete? form.

I'm not a good writer, as you know, but I do have alot of experience with reading though, fanfiction or not. I'm sure in total I easily pass 10 mil's of words read on FF.net alone...kinda scary

Anyway what I'm getting at is that I was very impressed by what little glance I took at your work on DA. You're really great at drawing a picture in the readers mind, and drawing them into a story. I might have to read a few completely after all...I'm somehow curious about this Blossom character and her doll now...

Most importantly just hurry the fuck up with getting better and stop pretending to be asleep on the floor.

...What I mean is that I hope you'll be better soon mate, sucks to hear about you passing out, stop doing that!

With everyone offering you their help again, I wanted to comment on photoshop stuff once more. I know your wife can handle that, but if she's not avalaible or if you just don't want to bug her, really, feel free to ask me. Like Bashiku said a few sides of posts ago, it's a matter of seconds if rushed, minutes if done right. So I wouldn't mind taking care of photoshop related stuff at all.

Bashiku was kind enough to handle the photoshop needs I had, so thankfully that hurdle has been jumped. Thanks for all the kind words, I'm certainly doing my best to recover <_<
 
I do hope you feel better soon. I'll help any way i can. I'm pretty good wild random crazy ideas. Now if i may ask. What does the latest update entitle besides what you said? Since i am using a saved game where i already beat bebe. I skipped the last version due to issues i had with it. So where might i find mimic or anything else i should add?
And on a side note I thought i recognised your display pic. I love your ppg story. I hope your able to continue it soon as well. Thanks.

Oh sorry. one last thing. I know i'm nit picking. But I like it better when the monomo stay at a set level. otherwise the easy code is rendered rather pointless.

umm how many points do you need in the bar game to unlock the special prize??

You only get the Giggle Goblin as a pet/accomplice/whatever if you let her go after the quest. With regards to the pub game I'm pretty sure the only things you can get out of it atm are the three items.
 
Quick question, you think sparing Bebe will affect the story? (negatively or otherwise)

Not sure if it changes anything in the long run, but I take forever on the rpg decisions. lol
 
so I beat bebe and now all that is left is finding the mimic I guess. where might she be? and is there anyway yet to get more then 5000 tickle essence?

and Deus you are doing a amazing job on this game I can't wait for the next update ^-^
 
Is the mimic even in this version? I'm guessing (not that it's hard to guess that...) that it'll pop out from the chest in town after you've collected all the essence, but it's most probably not worth the trouble to finish it all yet.


@Deus: 'was just browsing your DA, and from there formspring. Some interesting bits and facts I must say. Hope your roommate reads that. xD.
 
Expect an update later this week, I'm starting to get my strength back.

The Trading Mamono is the Mimic. You have to give her an obscene amount of Tickle Essence to get her to fight you and you will find that she is unbeatable at the moment. Unless you have the "Mimic's Key" she is nigh invincible and has over 18,500 Stamina. (coincidentally...I think that's how much Essence you have to give her).

Word to the wise, don't get excited about finding her. She's level 20 minimum, and she's not supposed to be fought until around Chapter 6-7. Also she has no Victory or Game Over scenes. I just stuck her in so that those who were masochists could try fighting her.
 
Quick Answer: 3 to 4.

Long Answer: I wouldn't worry about levels so much, it might be slightly easier at a higher level or even slightly harder, but it won't make that much of a difference. Seriously. If you're having problems with certain fights then it's probably that you don't have enough healing items with you(Or you don't use them enough). That can be a bit rough until you get the milk(Yay for da cow), or honey bee's nectar. If you run out of money, just train a bit without worrying about levels, trade essence and buy potions.

The bar game quest seems to be broken for me. I'm level 9 now, still can't get it (he only allows me to rest).

Only quests remaining:

The Tower of Gargalesis
The Captains Challenge
The Mamano Codex (updated it to 10 mamano)
The Strange Chest
Gatherer of the Goo

Total quests: 20
Completed quests: 15
Incomplete: 5

I've re-downloaded 3.3 four times now and each time he gives the same response. Slime looks to be pretty impossible with just a feather as an Adventurer - just can't make a dent past probably 1/20 of her life bar. So i guess I'm stuck until something is figured out :\

Oh well - aside from this I'm absolutely in love with the game. It's come so far from the grind-out-the-bum, single map only experience first incarnation that I was absolutely loathing. This is gonna be something amazing, I can already tell.

PM me a list of every quest you have completed and what armor you're wearing. Part of the problem may be you're using the Level 3 weapon, while fighting a level 9 enemy. If you don't have the Dirty Paintbrush, I'm guessing you haven't completed "Where's the Cuckoo Egg", which is understandable if Knismesis Pub's quest won't open. If I can get my source files (I forgot my laptop in my dorm and now I'm hoping I have the latest version of the project file on Megaupload), I'll do some work tomorrow. I'm finally free of responsibilities enough to work on this, hooray for Spring Break.

For anyone who cares as to where I've been and why this has been dead: that week I was sick? It ended up getting me dropped from a class that I need to graduate this year. I spent all last week busting my ass trying to get caught up (I have 27 credit hours, 9 classes) as well as getting back in that class. Good news, everything is relatively alright now...

Important Note Regarding the Bar Game Quest:

Here are the specifics to unlocking this apparently elusive quest:

- You must have a Reputation of 30. This means that you must have completed every other quest available. The quests you'll need to have completed are as follows: (these will be the names I gave them in the programming as I'm too lazy to look up the specific names)

+Teddy Bear (+5)
+Lost Little Girl (+5)
+Lost Mother (+5)
+Curse of Knismesis Village (+5)
+Old Man Quest (+5)

End of Chapter 1 = 25 Reputation

+Sailor and the Fairy (+1)
+Mushroom Quest (+1)
+Bunny Quest (+1)
+Farmer Quest (+1)
+Goblin Quest (+1)

= 30 Reputation

At that point a star should appear over the bartender's head. Give me just a moment and I'll verify...

Out of curiosity...did everyone who can't get the Bar Game to activate complete their quests BEFORE stepping into the tower? If not, that's the problem. I'll get a new version up with a fix right after verifying that it works now.

Right, that was the problem. The quest would only activate if you had a Reputation of 30 before stepping into the Tower of Gargalesis. I've fixed that, no restart necessary just transfer your save to the new folder. Link will be up soon:

Terribly sorry to hear you lost a class over illness, though happy to hear you got it back. Surely though your school allows absences due to illness (especially after the avian flu, where every school seemed to become germophobic).

That was indeed the problem. Just got the quest, and now I can start on the road to getting a better weapon. Thank you Deus for the speedy fix. You sir are an inspiration!

All Bonus content will be added in the final release version, or at my discretion. If the right mood hits me, I may add in some stuff for shiggles, but my primary focus is getting the main content added.

Go up to the forest on the world map, but instead of entering the forest from the main entrance, swing around and enter it from the left side.
