Tower of Gargalesis (Tickling RPG M/F, F/F, F/M)

So, I think I may be at a dead end. In order to not give too much away I'm gonna make this a little vague but there should be pretty easy to figure out.

With the tiara part of the Cuckoo quest, the person or mamono you're supposed to give the tiara to, is there any way it wouldn't be available depending on choices you made earlier in the game? Like, if I'm supposed to give it to who I think I am, that option is no longer available because of a Karma related choice I made earlier.

Just checking to see if my hunch is correct, or if I should keep trying to complete the quest.

So far as I know, yes if you made the decision I think you did, you are, in fact, stuck by your own cruel deeds. It's worth noting that if you get the Sleek Gloves from the tower dungeon, it makes up for missing out on the paintbrush.

Awww, but I like cruel deeds.
Ah well, I guess I'll try the dungeon again then. I've been having trouble with the ticklezon but that was a few patches ago, maybe I'll stand a better chance now.

Just wondering, when and how exactly do you view the bonus scenes/know how many you unlocked? Since you're given a choice between the Sleek Gloves or the Bonus Scene after you defeat the Blue Slime, I'm wondering if it's worth passing up the weapon since you can't get both.

As long as you are playing a BETA version, never go for the Bonus Scenes. They will not be added until the final release version of the game.

I apologize for anyone getting mad about getting Bonus Scenes they can't view, but the Bonus Scene Unlocked messages are there for my benefit so that I can later go back and put them in.

I'd like to say thanks for the fix on ticklazon, got past her with that little tweak. Sorry if I seemed a bit to complainy about it, just wanted to help even out any fights that are luck based, had it just been pure hard I usually grit and fight it out 🙂

Almost can beat lady venus, just need some more oj. My biggest wish for the next update is a sell function for items you don't need ^_^

After looking at some visual novels and dating sims online I just had this idea for the game since this is kind of like a visual novel.

Adding either a hot spring or a beach. There will always be one or the other or both in a dating sim/visual novel, manga, anime and in some cases games too.
It is known as the fan service episode but i'm wondering if it would work here?

So I've got a question. I've been trying to go the absolute evil path, assuming there'd be some payoff eventually, but thus far I'm not getting anything.
Is there any benefit to this down the line? A cool spell? A torturous payback scene? Or is it all just no fun until the end?
Is there no payoff for the wicked?

Not sure if anyone else is having problems, but I can only save the newer version to WinZip files that I can't open. User Error?

Keep in mind, the game thus far only goes through Chapter 2 out of 10. And the first two chapters are actually relatively short compared to later chapters.

The difference between good and evil will become much more polarizing as the game continues. I should also mention, there are two different end games based on a decision you make in chapter 8 (huge karmic decision).

Then the end games each have three different endings (for a total of six different endings) based on your karmic alignment.

And then the endings will vary slightly based on which romantic partner you choose (for the BETA of the game, Honey Bee is the only one available).

i've played through as far as i can and all i'll say now is that it's fantastic. when i have less work to do i'll make a longer post with a few small suggestions. keep it up 🙂. you've inspired me to look into game engines myself

Hey all, I'm working on Chapter 3 as we speak. It's going great, I think you'll all enjoy the route I took with it. (That or you'll haaate it).

Chapter 3's main story quest has 15 parts to it. It'll take a while to complete, and this is even before I add the side quests in. Also, I'd like to point out that the Chou Mamono of Chapter 3 has two forms: the form you fight depends on your gender. So like Beelzebebe (who was given a boost), you'll get a different Game Over based on your gender.

I've got the main story planned rather well...again it's just Game Over screens that are slowing me down. Oh well, I'm going to save them until after the rest of the chapter is finished. Without even factoring in the side quests, expect upward of...oh 14 new tickling scenes. I'll even throw in some bonus scenes as an apology for taking so long.

Easy Mode has also been altered, now giving you a special class specific weapon to start with that otherwise wouldn't be available until Chapter 7. If it still proves to be more challenging than you'd like, I'll give all the classes (save Slayer, they can't use them) a talisman that will make things even easier. (For example, I've tested the Red Talisman, which raises your Proficiency by 5. At level 30, a Mage bare handed does 121 without the talisman and 190 with it).

Off-Topic: To anyone wondering why this has taken so long, I've been having serious issues with my roommate. Well, long story short, those issues are over. I now have a private room (complete with a desk to work at!) so now expect me to have more time and drive to work.

*Edit- Hahaha, I think a lot of people are going to find Chapter 3 a step up in difficulty from Chapter 2.

**Edit- About halfway done now. I think I can do this tonight.

So I got a question. I'm playing through for the first time with a Thief character and I'm wondering. Do they have some kind of skill to make it easier? I'm having alot of trouble with Venus, and can't seem to get anywhere with it.
I'm not sure with how it works given the leveling curve thing, should I just try to power level more?

If you're level 3, no. Don't power level. Get your level 3 armor, get the small feather/harpy feather. Stock up on a ton of Tomato Juices. Steal uses your Technique, so if that's higher than your Proficiency use that. Otherwise, target her upper body (obviously). Keep in mind, the thief is the hardest class to beat the game with.

I may have her regen rate to high. In the coming update, I've dropped it back to 3. I realized Lady Venus doesn't need to be quite as hard as she is. The tower Chou Mamono more than make up for the ease of Chapter 1.

Between the buffed Beelzebebe and the Chapter 3 boss, I think there will be enough challenge. Plus the Soft Slime and the Ticklazon, not to mention the enraged Gitchinari. So yeah, if you really can't beat her with my suggestions, I'd recommend holding off until the next update (which will be...tomorrow night at best, I've got class from 9 to 8 tomorrow).

I am RIGHT at the point where I can almost downhill slide it. I need to write two game over scenes, two different victory scenes, a codex entry, there are four challenges you have to complete, each with a unique Game Over, each having maybe one or two tickle scenes, then maybe a couple bonus scenes.

The village isn't getting a huge update, but it will once I add in sidequests in the next update after this one.

So this next update is going to add a lot of content. I may be contacting some of you...but I'd rather avoid that if I can. I've mooched enough, now I need to give back what I owe you all.

OK cool. Thanks for the advice.
Although I'm already at 5 with level 5 armor and the two feathers, and still even with the targeted tickling I can't access the part where she uses her vines to hold you down. Plus it's at the point where normally she does 25 ish damage, making tomato juice not the most effective.
I'll give it a few more tries tomorrow, see what I can't do. But yeah, I want to try to beat it with a thief, but if I'm having this much trouble before the ticklazon, I'm not sure I'd ever be able to beat her lol.

I'm really looking forward to this and appreciate all your hard work. I have just one question. Will the manomo continue to level up with you even if you use easy mode? Cause it doesn't seem easy exactly that way.

Hey guys! Silly question: I'm on the Cuckoo Egg quest where I need to use the dust on a Mamono. I've gone into the forest and fought a bunch of Mamono, but I never get the option to use the dust in the Item menu. Am I doing it wrong?

Hey Deus if you need help on game over scenes or post-battle tickling i'm all on assisting you with them.

Easy Mode basically puts you at level 30, gives you the best armor in the game (Which prevents Brutal Tickles) and gives you a level 20 weapon to start off. To get the weapon in question, you'll need the latest version (which is up in the OP).

There's no way to change the code that determines if enemies level up with you or not, so as it is, you are just given a very big advantage in the form of level and equipment. If the weapon I gave you isn't strong enough, I'll change that but I'm trying to avoid spoilers and all the weapons passed level 20 are event items.

Worst comes to worst I'll give you a Talisman.

@ZidanePervert- There is a new beta up in the initial post that drops Lady Venus's regen rate by 1%, that should make a big, big difference 🙂

@All- I apologize for the vagueness of the earlier quests, but the lack of detail is due to the Player still being new to the world. Later quests are more specific because he/she knows where he/she should try looking.

Deus: Excellent work with the game so far. Your doing an amazing job. But I for some reason can't complete the Hide n Seek quest. I just cant seem to find the Giggle Bunny

Mysterious Response:

Sometimes, it is within confinement that we find the path forward.

Literal Answer:

The prison cell you were kept in at the end of the prologue.

Don't know if anyone else has called it in yet but I found a slight bug with the new conversation with Honey Bee. Once you've unlocked the new conversation options 9level 2 or whatever you want to call it) asking about the quest immediately ends the conversation (as opposed to previously where she replied ). It's not a huge problem I guess but I thought you'd want to know either way.

Other than that everything seems to be up to your usual high standards.
