Go up to the forest on the world map, but instead of entering the forest from the main entrance, swing around and enter it from the left side.

This is correct. I was originally going to make it harder (actually force you to piece together the location, track down the entrance, get it open, etc.) but then I looked at the forest and saw that opening and thought...meh.

Where is the staircase that goes to the second floor of the tower? I beat bebe and talked to the teleporting guy, but the stairs next to where she was just takes me back to the surface!
I'm level 7, and did all the quests but the 2nd goo, the tower, the chest, and the codex.

I just can't figure out where to go so I can keep playing!

In the meantime, slowness on my part is attributed to having four wisdom teeth pulled. I'll be back in the game shortly (I've been saying this for a while, but it's true this time).

First of all, I've gotta say that this RPG is extremely addicting! Even if it's not complete, the content that it has keeps me coming back for more. I'm slightly disappointed to not being able to freely go back and review tickling scenes at will like the Bonus Dungeon in the Cackling Cave. But I guess that's the charm of the ToG RPG in the first place: Making the player want to play it over and over. (Although while we're still beta-testing, it'd be nice if there was a place that we could review any tickle sessions that we previously unlocked (and maybe the ones we skipped on mini-boss characters). :drool)

Second, I tried using a BETA Ranger character and found myself completely stuck on Lady Venus. Both the Dryad and Lady Venus' regen ability comes to the point of annoyance. She heals faster than I can do enough damage. And everytime I spend a turn to heal, her regen negates any attacks that I've done beforehand AND doing damage to my character. I've bought the Lightweight Bodysuit and have the Harpy Feather equipped. Of course, playing through the game normally without starting off at Level 30 works just fine.

EDIT: I was finally able to get past her, but it required spamming Tickling Powder and at least 9-11 Coffee.

I guess it goes to show that the whole tried and true leveling up method in RPGs isn't as important in this game (hence the 100% Escape rate, which has given me much relief of not having to fight through random battle after random battle). That's what makes this game pretty unique. The fact that the monsters level up with you makes the player stop and wonder if level grinding is worth the effort. Sure, their character gets more Endurance and Stamina to survive longer and use their Advanced Tickle techniques more, but the monsters themselves increase in all aspects as well, thereby negating any strength advantage you might have had.

Speaking of the BETA, I've noticed that equipment such as Leggings and Socks are considered Accessories and not Footwear. Is it supposed to be like that or were they not switched to Footwear by accident? In fact, is there any Footwear in this recent version?

Also, in the battles, are there supposed to be those opaque borders around the monsters or did the graphics not become fully rendered?

The romance aspect seems pretty nice and can't wait to see how this affects the characters overall. Same with both the Giggle Goblin and the farm (even though the farm aspect hasn't been implimented yet).

I'm wondering if there's a particular reason that you can shift-run on most maps, but not everywhere (i.e. Captain's quarters and certain houses.) It'd be nice to be able to always run at will.

Lastly, since all the monsters are female (to which I always choose a female heroine so it's easier to get into), I was wondering it it'd be a more immersing experience to have female giggle and laughing sound effects whenever they're defeated. I've got a couple (WAV format) if you'd like me to PM them to you.

All in all, ToG is a refreshing and addicting game. I can't wait until Chapter 3 is ready to be tested. But we all know how real life gets in the way of doing things that are loved and appreciated. Good luck and I'm pretty sure we're all behind you 100%. 🙂

Chapter 3 MAY OR MAY NOT be included in the next update but there will be a ton of content added. Here's the catch, I'm not going to tell you what will be added, it's up to you, the players, to discover all the new content. Keep an eye out for that tomorrow. I'll manage to pull myself away from HeartGold long enough to work on it 🙂

There has been one thing updated, but it received a ton of updates. There are two new tickling scenes, a new technique you can learn, and a bunch of plot related information added. There is also one new(ish) fight.

It's not a LOT, but it's an update I'm proud of, and I hope you'll enjoy the content I added. I'll get started on Chapter 3 as soon as I have time.

Go battle and check your Techniques 😉

And the tower will be explorable, but it is not yet. You're lucky that it's not, it's a high level dungeon.

I'm having a bit of trouble with the ticklazon. I'm a level 6 mage and I can't seem to beat her. It's possible, got plenty OJ, an that heals me enough after a few drinks to get off another attack. Possible to widdle it down, but I'm having no luck. If she gets off a brutal tickle it's all over, hitting me for way over my health limit, that and sometimes she takes an extra turn, which ends in death because it's a constant ride on low stamina. Can't do much about it because I can't leave the tower at this point. I'm loving the game, though right no until this issue is fixed I sort of stopped, fun game, though right now it's not that great since it just turned into a full on luck factor with bad odds 😛

Man, I mean I knew balancing was a big deal before, but this game really makes me realize how hard it is to make a challenging but beatable game for all of the classes.

I'll drop her base attack and leave her growth. That might make a difference. I just have to ask if you have the second apparel and either the Dirty Paintbrush or the Sleek Gloves?

*Note: You can advance Honey Bee's romantic growth by winning OR losing the second fight with her. Losing gives you a different tickle scene than winning (but losing prevents you from getting the Honey Pot). I'd recommend winning the first time, then fighting her again and losing, that will let you see both scenes and get you the Honey Pot, which is a healing spell to save on OJs and Tomato Juices.

**Edit: For some reason the Ticklazon was critting WAY too much. As a result I had to jack up the critical hit odds (1 in 500 chance instead of 1 in 100), so now it should be a very rare occurrence (with any luck). I've also reduced how much it affects your attack (a critical just doubles attack power now).

The Ticklazon should be a bit easier now (read: doable for the Mage). I may jack her attack back up now that brutal tickles have been nerfed, but for now she's staying nerfed a bit. I never intended her to be that hard. I'd recommend having the best weapon available at that point (Dirty Paintbrush) and stick to Target. Ticklazon is resistant to elemental damage. I haven't tested if Tickle Wisp is less effective than any Target ability, so if someone could get back to me on that, I'd appreciate it.

I intended for Beelzebebe to be the insanely hard part of Chapter 2, I had no idea that Ticklazon would be such a broken component. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Nice update. Got a bit stuck until I realized you needed to tell the Captain you're lvl 6 and/or give the slime to the masked man. I really like the victory and game over, both good stuff. Can't wait for Ch. 3, new sidequests and the next encounter with friendly mamono.

So, I think I may be at a dead end. In order to not give too much away I'm gonna make this a little vague but there should be pretty easy to figure out.

With the tiara part of the Cuckoo quest, the person or mamono you're supposed to give the tiara to, is there any way it wouldn't be available depending on choices you made earlier in the game? Like, if I'm supposed to give it to who I think I am, that option is no longer available because of a Karma related choice I made earlier.

Just checking to see if my hunch is correct, or if I should keep trying to complete the quest.
