Tower of Gargalesis (Tickling RPG M/F, F/F, F/M)

AFAIK, you throw the correct magic flask at the correct pixie. Not quite sure which one is which yet, but it works. Though sometimes Paranoia does erect her own shells (Red, Blue, Yellow, Indigo but not in that order). Unless you're a mage, you can't break the Indigo shell.

Encountered something strange (and game-breaking) when all three guardians are up and fighting. (Playing as a Ranger).
I had to wander about the tower, picking up essence to pay for a healthy supply of magic flasks, but in so doing I gained two full levels, raising me to Level 16. This is probably why I'm having such trouble.
I got them with the right flasks, shattering Paranoia's shells. However, Paranoia seems capable of launching THREE ATTACKS IN A ROW as well as her guardians getting in a turn of their own. This nets total damage of 350HP+. Grand, I can take that. BUT when I go to use a Grape Juice after this assault, I get the sound and visual effect of use, but I get nothing. Good day, sir.
I wasn't paralysed, in a giggling fit or otherwise incapacitated. Did I miss some vital information telling me about this, or how to get my healing working again? Technically it does not break the game, but renders her unbeatable, thereby game-breaking.

One question though and I was wondering this all morning:
Are you going to make Paranoia a requirement or leave her as optional? Both have merits and drawbacks.

Requirement
Will make the players think and not overlevel, something which the scaling enemy levels almost promote, unfortunately, which leads to the enemies being stronger.

Optional
Means that players may avoid the battle, if they haven't got the means to beat her just yet. However, it means a large part of the game and a more human quest of mercy would never be seen.

The indigo shell can be broken by using a frost flask on her most likely. Nope You can only break three colors... If you can break others can you tell me how?
Indigo-Frost
Orange-Fire
Yellow-Volt

You need Tickle Wisp to break the Violet Shell.

Orange is broken by hitting anyone with a Fire spell (Feather or Fire Flask), if you hit Paranoia, she absorbs it, so it's pretty counter productive.

Yellow is broken by hitting anyone with a Lightning spell (Tingling or Jolt Flask).

Indigo is broken by hitting anyone with a Frost spell (Vellicating or Frost Flask).

Paranoia getting more than one turn happens if the Green Fairy casts "Overdrive". If she casts "Punishment" then your healing items hurt you instead of healing you. Barring that, I can't see why a Grape Juice wouldn't have healed you.

Kill Green and Blue before worrying about the barriers. Green and Blue make Paranoia nigh invincible together. And if you can't kill Green in 4 turns, she'll Vanish and you won't be able to break the magical dome surrounding Paranoia until she comes back.

Paranoia is not a requirement to beat the game (defeat Gargalesis in Chapter 9).

She is a requirement to unlock the true ending (Chapter 10).

Ugh seriously you can't break violet? But it changes your damage to her (for me) from 150-159 to 70-79!

Violet Shell cuts tickles to her neck and feet in half and boosts her Technique by a paltry 5%. I recommend tickling somewhere else 🙂

Orange halves Belly and Hips

Yellow halves Ribs and Thighs

Indigo halves Underarms and Knees

She's a B rating across every body part (150% more ticklish)

She's about to spank you, more than likely 🙂

I'm tickling her belly... it's not working.
Now I've tried her underarms.
And now her ribs.
What was her worst spot to begin with?

OH MY GOD SHE"S THROUGH FOOLING AROUND... WHAT THE HELL?

Shit. I beat her. For once the dialouge after a boss fight is right. I don't even know how I beat her...

Wow I'm done. Nothing left after the grudge is there. At least not yet.
Oh and Deus not to sound like a quest someone's beaten but I've kind of a writer myself (not so much in the sense of tickling) and I have a eye for finding junk. So are you still beta testing?

On a side note. Your game has evolved a lot into something that's not just tickling. But really like a real epic storylined game. I find it hard to actually focus on the tickling parts now but maybe that's what you wanted and maybe not.

Excited to hear revamps are coming along. ^^
It'll be great to see how the updates play. Especially the thief, interested to see how you changed up the speed.

(I'm gonna ask for forgiveness on my poor english right now)
I really like this game. It is beyond just tickling, with an really interesting plot and characters, and make me wish to know wath happens next. And it dosen't mean the tickling isn't as good as the rest.
But let me ask, isn't the slayer a bit weak? I mean, her (I use a female) skills for example. The only usefull one is that eagle eye. The lethal tickle does less damage than a target tickle, and the claw does around the same damage, but consumes a lot more adrenalie, so in the end their ecxistance is useles! Just comenting.

Man, Paranoia was hard... No, "hard" is not good enoght. Deus, will you, in the future, post to us here all the "Tickle Her!" on the game? Just wondering. I mean, I defeated Paranoia once, and one time is dificult enought for at least 3 months XD.

Please, don't think I'm trolling here, it's more like a... ok, I don't know the right word in english.

I found my Slayer perfectly suited to the task, but I noticed that about the Lethal Tickle as well.
I am under the assumption that the massive revamps will fix things like that.

Oh, and I finally beat Paranoia yesterday. Thanks for the hints, Deus ^^

I'm tempted to donate some of you Demon's Souls, just so you know what a really hard game is. Slayer is probably the strongest class pre-revamp, try a mage for change. Your english is just fine, btw 🙂

As Squark said though, we should save any difficulty/class comments for post-revamp.

heeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeelp!

im stuck in chapter 3... the one with the huge spider lady... im a level 8 slayer... do i grind it all the way?? or am i missin' something?? also... i havent found any new tools to tickle or shoes or talismans or accesories or anything... what cani do

^^if it's the first time that your with the spider lady, then just get away from her (escape) and go talk to honeybee. if not, then the old hairbrush and charity core should do the trick.

thanks.... now im really sad... i did the snow maiden quest... i found the eternal vows... it says the quest was completed but who do i hand the vows to??? i reaalllllly wanna solve that mistery... im dying!!! of curiosity to know!!! X( has anyone delivered the vows yet??

Started over last night as a Mage. The first fight was a real nail-biter! But when she got her first special ability, she started kicking a lot of ass. For the first time, Lady Venus was NO trouble. ^^

Hope Deus finishes up the revamps later today; it'd be a rather excellent Christmas Pressie, but I must live in reality... *sigh*

hi... i cant seem to get the new chapter... i recently finished chapter two (thats mamonas right??) and i already got the red feather, but i can't get to the third floor... is it out yet and i dont know how to get it?? if that's the case can anyone help me or is it still in the workshop... just asking...
thanks

No third floor is not out yet. The guy there says so.
There's another quest called "The Grudge" to continue with though.

Lol trust me wight the scope of changes the revamp will bring, you really don't want it before it gets significantly beta'd

That said, outside of bugs and balancing, I'm almost done

you are the man Deus! Wish i had as much talent as you when it comes to creating something like this

If you've got the latest edition (Beta 4.66), you already have it. Once you have the Fairy Coin, go back to where the Dryad was. Can't quite remember the specific trigger to this quest right now as I'm slightly inebriated, but I'm pretty sure it's hard to miss.

If I'm not mistaken, whem you heve the red feather, you should talk to the fairy in that left entrance to the woods (the one where you beat the Tickle Fairy princess) and she will give you one half of the coin. The other half is in that old house in the village. Ask around and someone (the old man I think) will give you the key to that place.
