First of all, you need to CORRECT that problem with Mirrai Nikki. I recommend taking a day off (or weekend) and finishing up at least the anime! Bad Reogen, bad. You know the rule: You may only not finish a series if it's terribad.

As to your vote...I...have no idea...what to take from this. I mean, I think you chose... um...

I have to vote for #3, that cat is just the right amount of creepy combined with classy. Also, I prefer the non-moving avatars. While fun for a while, eventually they tend towards annoying. Not that such things would keep me away from this thread, or from a character reveal! In fact, we should just close the ballots right now! Nothing to see here, move along everyone!

Lol the only reason you want the ballot closed ASAP is so you can finally stop racking your brain after knowing what one of the girl's race is 😛

It's nearly 5 AM here. I'm tired. Perhaps that is also making me slightly crazy. Of course, I'm also very giddy, because I've been working on my pc since I got home from work today trying to get it running again.

And now, it is! Oh happy mother effing day! I would've been SO pissed if I'd damaged anything (or whateva) replacing just the freakin thermal paste. Even more annoying was that the 4th we have work off, so I was going to be able to finish Tula's pic. Couldn'tve done that with my design pc being down!
Turns out it was Avast antivirus that was BSOD'ing my comp! Lots of testing things, reseating heatsink, moving cards, deleting shit, and that was the problem. L-O-L! Well, so much for 30-year license. You cause that shit happen to me, I'm dropping your ass.

So yea, I'll give you guys some proper responses later today. Right now, the side of my face needs to go make sweet, sweet love to my pillow :lol

This is...wonderful. Not the whole 33 minutes, mind you, as that alone would probably boost my game's size by a few dozen MBs; but I could break this apart and make little segments out of it.

The ending, hilarious enough, was guessed around the time we began seeing "The Others" by my own father. Very sad. I also liked how it concluded by adding more answers and or not closing loopholes/finishing old answers.

These don't take up too much time... erm... sortof. But I wanted to get one girl out at the very least. This weekend I'll work feverishly (when I'm not doing something else :lol) to get the demo done. That'll be, like, 25 or 30% of the game right there.

Looking at her again, yea she does. Then again, I certainly hope she does. Both MGE's and Tula's design, aside from MGE's horndog part, is iconic of a Red Oni (2 horns on the forehead, red skin, skimpy outfit, super strength and taste for alcohol). It's following the mythological Red Oni's lore. Well, at least the altered lore in recent years that shows Oni as more benevolent, playful and kind (they used to just be satanic creatures that destroyed everything. You should look up The Red Oni Who Cried as an example). Of course, I like MGE's stuff, and if she had been a Blue Oni I'd have used the thought of her being smarter than Reds.

This is more so just a little background blurb. I didn't want to really spoil anything on Tula and the story is going to show a lot more. If you compare her to Deus' Tickle Oni, Tula is vastly superior since she has more intelligence then "Tickle", "Drool", "Laugh/Whimper" "Drink", can talk, and is actually a potential main character rather than a quest mob. You'll see this for yourself when you bump into her during the Demo.

Very interesting. I like her giant stature, and I'm intrigued to see her personality once the game is out. From what you're showing, I like her easy-going party atmosphere. Very oni-like, from what I know. But I need to see the others before I figure out my traveling companion. From an 'ideal woman' perspective, she's quite the muscular creature (I tend not to go for women who could pummel me), but it fits her character quite well and I wouldn't have it any other way. Thanks for letting us see her, AW.

Yea, I didn't really talk at all about her. Like I mentioned earlier, I don't wanna spoil anything. You'll learn more in the demo. Oh, I wish I could explain more about her without explaining too much, but I know I'd be terribad at it.
Of course, the private actions will show further depth in her character, so the Demo is only going to scratch the surface really. She has problems that she is trying to fix, but might not be going about it in the best of ways. I wouldn't call her easy-going exactly. She is always up for a challenge (so long as it isn't something intellectual) and likes "partying", by which I mean she enjoys making a B-line for pubs lol.
She isn't, like, bodybuilder ripped, but she is definitely the most muscular of the girls. Even if she couldn't pummel you, she does have the height advantage.

I'd be doodling more of the girls, but right now I'm working on the Demo portion and art assets. I just keep adding stuff and going back and improving on things. Even then I bet everyone will complete the demo in, like, 15 min 😛

Nah, but seriously - unfortunately, this isn't a real game forum where people would have discussions. Granted, a few posters were awesome and kept asking me stuff well beyond an update, but the majority won't say much without some meat thrown heh. I've already given them the bulk of their meal from earlier posts, so it'll be hard to find a subject to talk about.

As slacker said, the real discussion starts when the game is released. Look at KP; it exploded once it was released with bug posts, "I'm stuck" posts, "I walked 3 feet from the quest giver, now what do I do?" posts, hints and tips, boss strategies and quest help...Hell, it even got its own Walkthrough thread! 😀 (Well, and translation thread...which still isn't done btw lol)

I've been a little busy to work long and hard like Screamer can on his games. I've also been in conflict with myself over what would be considered "good", whether writing or scenes. I've come to an understanding where this is just the Demo and I shouldn't be going ape-shit to get everything like what you'd see at release (hell, even Deus changed his game AFTER he released it, so it's not like this should be final).
As such, there's still a few key things I want to add. I've got a few quests, a few secrets and hidden areas, and some mediocre writing done 😛. I still need to balance things a little so you can't beat the Demo at level 2 if you were allowed lol. I've gone up and down with how far I've progressed too based on what I keep adding.

So we'll see. I might be able to give a Sooner response if I can get stuff done on some weekends. It's probably not as much work as I think it's going to be, depending on how much I do with quests, backtracking, and dialogue. I've settled on the perfect place (and the perfect way) to end the Demo now.

That's because Nichijou is nothing but charming 😛 Seriously, if you enjoyed Azumanga Daioh, Nichijou is 100% for you. If you don't know wtf Azumanga Daioh is, Nichijou is still for you because of every moment of hilarity.

Can't say I've watched a lot of slice of life, but I recall that it didn't take much Azumanga Daioh to figure out that Osaka would make the show all worth it.
