Don't believe in yourself. Believe in me! Believe in me, who believes in you!
-love the gurren lagaan quote btw
I'd actually quote properly but I'm using an iPod touch
From 2008 since I'm currently w.o my desktop due to
Moving recently. (my comp hates wifi)
But I read up on your update and wanted to day that I love the fact that you went against the grain and made the npcs the strongest. I hope it'll be like playing mega man and watching zero come in for the first time and rip it up. (I'm older now so I shouldn't have that 8yr old temper tantrum of "if he's so f@$&ing strong why can't I just use him to beat the game".... But no promises on that:stickout
I'm still laughing about, and I heal and I heal.
Can't wait for the release. And againg I apologize if this post is annoying to read. I see two sentances at a time. Stupid itouch, stupid wifi.
After using your other thread Anime, and playing all these Japanese games with decent, albeit limited, translation; I think I'm now going to love your game 983750983709563865x more, just because it's in English. X_X
P.S. "My Mother is my Mother! BABOON BABOON!" :stickout :lol
Your game look really interesting Anime ! How things are going on approximatively?^^
Does that number refer to completion of a demo?
By the way Watcher, if you are having a difficult time Acquiring that song that I suggested for the game, I can always send you message or E-mail with the song in it.
Also, the part of the song that you are going to want for the game will be between 0:00 - 8:00.
btw, The main reason why I suggested this song was because one of the first parts of the song sounded similar to the that plays while I was playing ToG.
What? No, of course not. I just like the number 80. Yknow, it's not as little as 50, but it's also not as big as 100? It's a "just right" number.
:stickout
Yes, the number is demo completion. Which I'm bumping to a solid 85% now.
Wait, that's only DEMO completion?? :blink Good grief! Either this game is going to MASSIVE or you just haven't been hauling ass like Screamer.
BTW, i'm assuming you didn't get my reply PM, Anime. Or did you?
Mostly the former, but some of the latter too. It's a huge map, with a lot to do. But I don't have a job like Screamer that gives me some free time to work on it, and when I'm home I just wanna unwind. 😛 So, yknow, I play games. I mean, Guild Wars 2 just came out. Borderlands 2 is right around the corner. You can't deny me stuff like this haha.
Also, as a reminder, please refer to this post. The game is indeed going to be massive, and is a massive undertaking too.
(cue cameo from Mr. Despair?)- Cameos. That's right. Expect cameos. Not a whole lot, but some.
"You mean characters like Honeybee or Alice?"
Hahaha - crap no. I'm not famous or friendly enough with other artists to slip their creations (especially main characters) in my game. No, no.
So then, I wonder what that leaves? -stares at you all-
...- Did I mention there are events/event chains you could miss entirely? They're based on your decisions! If you break a chain early, the whole chain will vanish for you.
Hm, think I'll go for warrior or ranger. Don't know what my group will be at this point, so should probably aim for balance in case I fancy hiring the glass cannon teammate at some point.- Every class SHOULD be viable, since I'm balancing around bosses. However, some classes will definitely start to feel the pain as they progress through the game.
So, they'll just start out stronger and build from there? Interesting choice. The girls that can join you on your quest are going to be leaps and bounds stronger than you.
I'm contemplating choosing a team based on first impressions rather than initial stats. This will probably come back to bite me. 😀Meanwhile, Muca will make your Mage look like a kindergartner. She will look at an enemy and they'll drop over dead after a few seconds of shrieking in ticklish torment. Seriously, she almost has 50% more magic power than your Mage. But holy CRAP she has pathetic defenses and health.
Unless you're being paid, no rush. 😛But I don't have a job like Screamer that gives me some free time to work on it, and when I'm home I just wanna unwind. 😛 So, yknow, I play games. And I already had the same response to that post....*facepalm*
Anyway, I'd never deny a fellow gamer the pleasure of...well...gaming. Borderlands 2 is going to be awesome!
Well, when it's finally done, it'll be nice to see what your game is gonna be like in the demo.
Bah, I want to try Guild Wars 2, but I'm saving for Borderlands >_> With all these time consuming games out, and coming out, I don't think I would have been able to make it as far as you did already lol :stickout
Let us not forget the only game I'm waiting for....Assassin's Creed III!
Ah, news.
(cue cameo from Mr. Despair?)
Heh, implying giving some friends a shopkeeper npc role?
...
*keeps back-up saves*

I would totally be in bliss if you had to fight the cast from Mr. Despair! xD No, I don't think it will happen.
Hope I will be punished that hard for making a party with the characters I like only....
It is indeed! Gonna try some multiplayer, so if you're gonna get it, we might be able to go shoot things together lol. Still deciding what I'm gonna play as, but I've got it pre-ordered for PS3.
Yea, i'd be up for that. I'm going as Zero. I'm following through from Borderlands when my main character was Mordecai. Gonna be a sniping badass. :cool
One problem though. I've gotten it for 360. 🙁

I also got it for the 360 XD I was thinking about getting it for PC, but everyone I know got it for xbox. Figured I would just join the majority :stickout
Oh I see what's going on here. No, no, that's cool. Apparently there was a TT Borderlands 2 meeting and I wasn't invited. No, that's alright - I'm fine with it.
Oh -

ya jerks
Dude, i'm sorry I got it for the 360, but I prefer to increase my gamer score and I can't do that on the PS3. With Borderlands 2 i'll be passing the 40k mark.
If you have a 360, I say you should take your PS3 version back and trade it in for a 360 version, but that's up to you man.
XD Sorry Xbox 360 fans were uniting 😛 I had a PS3 for a while but all I really did was play Rock Band and Dark Souls for it, and the online connection bugs me. I know its free, but it just seems.....slow.....well slower then Xbox's already semi-slow connection :stickout I would totally co-op with you if I still had my PS3 though :lol <3 Siren
Lol naw it's alright. I'm gonna keep the PS3 version; PS3 does indeed have better hardware (seen in 360 vs PS3 Portal 2 comparison I believe), and I also have my old Bordlands save on it...ssooooo I get to customize my characters if BL2 finds original BL content on your console. Which is...yknow...a plus...because I'm a collector...and I GOTTA HAVE IT ALLLLLL~
I love my PS3. Not as much as my PC, oh heavens no. My PC makes my PS3 its ***** each night if it were to compare specs. But my PS3 has waaaay too many absolutely wonderful JRPG's and Jap/Korean/Chinese/WhatevaAsian games that I can't give it up. From strategy games like Disgaea 4 (and "tying people up and tickling their armpits") to Ar Tonelico Qoga (and its end-game tickle scene depending on your choices). Sooooo yea. But I think I'm gonna go with Siren too since my bud will probably snatch Turret Man. And hey, healing my friends by SHOOTING THEM is gonna be fun on a bun.
I'll get the game eventually for my PC so I can get all the mod goodness and best graphics/audio quality that I can. Once, yknow, everyone stops playing the PS3 version.
Also ~ GAME UPDATE! I've just completed the final event of the game. Not the final event, but the event that the demo players will last see. Soooooooo I'm bumping the game's progress up to 90% WOO! Hours to make, only minutes (for you guys) to complete. WOO! 😛
Oh ya never know, sometimes the recurring merchant's a fan favorite. You have to admire the guy profiting from everyone else's apocalypse.Shopkeeper? I dunno~ Anyone WANT to be a shopkeeper? Random NPC's, quest related NPC's, items, etc. etc. etc. were what I had planned.
So probably won't back myself into a corner in that scenario, but should be ready to put someone on water bottle duty. But like I said, it'll be fun and challenging, as well as different, depending on your team comp. so a bunch of squishy glass cannons running around and blowing things up instantly, but they'd also have to have a lot of healing items on themselves (and probably designate a member as the "Health Pot Chucker" during battles).
You did mention seeing one of them appear more regardless of recruitment. Curious how variables will play out.Maybe I'll add one more chance for you to invite them. I dunno. I'll see how it is when I get that far.
<.<

Uhh....Anime? You still alive man? You haven't died playing Borderlands 2 have you?
I died quite a few times playing that, bad ass threhsers and what not :stickout
