[VX Ace] The Laughing Isles

Tiny spoilers here.

Cart still broken.
Goes off track after making turn 9

turn 10 goes back on.

turn 11 goes back off.
Must be a trigger on that broken piece of track that propells character forward or something? And because we're below it, it's not triggering?

Anyway... holding down in screenshot labeled "turn eleven" and she falls into the tar.

Hope this helps.

Blegh! Went back into quiet for a little there. Been working a little on 2.0 since I loathe myself and apparantly never want to play games again :lol

Well then already sent you the PM with the idea!
Also, I understand not wanting to constantly bombard us with tickle scenes one after another, but including secret scenes accessible only thanks to careful exploring is always good!

Which also gives me a mini idea... how about giving alcohol bottle a unique scene, rather than just the minecart falling one? For example Figment if drank before certain point could have a game over ending up in Lockstockd Tickles inaccessible otherwise torture room, because she did something really blasphemous while drunk(Don't worry, idea for secret scene is more detailed than this one, this is just a quickie idea I had while replying XD)!

Also you said that most people are missing at least 3 scenes? Well I don't think I am missing any at that point... but just to make sure I will make a spoilerous list of what I found so far(With one possible bug):

1.Hidden beach attacked by monster girls.(I don't count it as swimsuit wearing related, because scene doesn't even feature Figment... it's still awesome though!
2. New tied up thief girl in Lockstockd Tickles
3. Ghost sisters in the escape cave, with lots of variations... Little sister alone, big sister alone, both, and angry older sister... If there's angry younger sister one, it is bugged because when I kill older sister, and come back to the younger, she appears to do Undertale reference "Dirty sister killer" XD, and then I am stuck in eternal blackness(But still can walk, or open inventory, it's just that I can't see anything)
4.Brief one with Grave Guardian tickling figment for underestimating her

Those would be all I guess! Also is it just my imagination or there will be some kind of character approval score? Now that I think after you drink the instant heal wine in the cave before fighting "mysterious figure"(To avoid spoilers), it says something along the lines of "Mysterious figure thinks you are more attractive now"... it doesn't seem to change the scene if I lose or win, so I presume it must become somehow relevant later!

Funny enough, the alcohol was suggested by others to give a special scene. I'm currently testing how to make that happen, but for now - the alcohol originally meant as a gag reward that foolish players would spam and drink themselves to death! The fact it became bugged and showed off the mine cart Game Over is just...well...it wasn't meant to lol.
I have at least prepped it for future use. It gives a terrible status debuff if you drink it, currently (though it's quick to get rid of).

Woaaahhh! I do believe you've gotten every scene! Except it sounds like you might've missed one. It's earlier in the game and is a missable since - if you follows signs correctly - you can't get it. Good job with the ghosts, though! Also, the eternal blackness should have been fixed.

It's not your imagination. Starting in the next chapter, the relationship system is introduced along with the party recruit system. You have a maximum party size of 3, and you can recruit your party members. Likewise, there are private actions you can do with said party members to develop your relationship with them further. This will unlock a host of things the further you get, including changing the storyline's scenes themselves at certain points. Certain things, too, can increase a relationship score - such as drinking alcohol lying around :lol

I'm glad you're continuing with this game Anime, it's been AGES since I last played it and judging by the positive comments it's only gotten better.

I'll put my own thoughts about the game once I give it a thorough play-through but for now I'll congratulate you for making more stuff for us to enjoy! Cheers!

Ah, another game dev I must befriend and certainly leave a review of his well made game!

Thank you so much, although the real work begins now. Well...it began before...but you know what I mean. Either way, I hope it isn't AGES until you play the next part; and I hope you enjoy all that I offer - whether current or future! Look forward to updates as I progress more and more (I'm finishing up with the beginning of 2.0 storyline; next I'll be doing the minigames and fun that's inside the carnival!)

Sounds like I might have missed some things if there's yet another thief scene out there that most people haven't found, but I'll post current thoughts on my playthrough anyhow.

Spoilers, etc.

-I'm still sticking with Warrior this time around. The multi-target move is my bread and butter.
-Not sure if I've found many major changes to the main story yet, outside of the commander’s bodyguards stepping up for their hero moment. I could be forgetting some specifics of the dialogue from the first release though.
-The new thief’s interaction in town is probably my favorite addition. I liked the tone of it, and details like choice variation and the little descriptions of her clothing/appearance really do add to the scene for me. Makes it stand out.
-Some of the random enemy encounters in the caves are still a bit of a pet peeve for me. I know it's sacrilege, considering how random enemies while exploring are a staple of classic turn-based RPGs, but I always felt that exploring the nooks and crannies of a maze or searching for the pieces of a puzzle was enough to deal with without having to run away from monsters every five to seven steps.
-Going for the pacifist run on my main playthrough in hopes of aiming for the good ending and cutting off less quest-lines. Have some mixed feelings about the morality system when several of the “evil” options seem a tad more sensible than blindly trusting characters like the zombie thief though. And does skipping the fight altogether with the rope avoid negative morality points as well? I wasn’t sure where it registered in her potential quest-line.
-There’s a wall marker and a boulder in the cave that I’ve yet to find a way to pass. I’m 90% sure that they’ll require the recruitment of characters like Tula.
-Never fully appreciated the setup of the mine-cart QTE until I started playing around with RPG Maker myself. Good coding sir.
-Is Nadya changing her outfit after the mine-cart section a feature? I remembered it happening during the old versions, but had assumed it was a glitch.
-The new boss music's fun.

All-in-all, nice update to get back into the rhythm of things. Still looking forward to what you have planned for the next chapter. Nice seeing news on this project again.

There are a variety of new additions added to the game that drop hints or are QOL additions. For example - now the player is let known that the mine cart will prevent them from coming back, but also gives them a choice of when to leave rather than forcing them. This should help avoid people be unprepared for the boss fight (I am NOT putting any more potions in there! lol)

While some puzzles can, and will, be void of monsters, I'm afraid you'll have to deal with that pet peeve when dungeon diving. However, if the encounter rate is too high, do let me know. To let you know, though, I've already got items planned that temporarily remove random encounters (ala Pokemon's Repel). So you will be able to remove your pet peeve for a certain amount of time (and monetary expense).

Your 90% guess may be right, with a 10% margin of error. :stickout

Alas, the mine cart is still plaguing one or two individuals - but I'm glad everyone else has been able to make it through bug free. Still, yes, it's not as easy as it looked lol.

That might be a glitch, but you should be able to re-equip the bikini and change back.

Anyway, I'm glad you enjoyed the refresher. Next up will be totally NEW stuff....That may or may not also be a lot to code.

Tiny spoilers here.

I guess I'm going to have to go extreme to try and get this cart bug free! I'm shocked that this issue never really hit anyone this badly before.

Are we supposed to encounter the necromancess before the minecart mayhem?

No, you can't encounter her before the minecart.

...Are you?...Because you'd be the first.

Heh, by the way did my PM with secret scene idea reach you? For some reason I just noticed it doesn't show up in my sent messages on the forum...

Oh and there was some new scene earlier... I think I MIGHT have found it, but I am not sure if it wasn't there earlier and I just overlooked it...
It was in the Sandy Smiles oni gang hideout? Falling into one of the holes you are supposed to put boulders in if I remember right.

I'm about to trigger the first world changing event. *spoiler* The Centaur invasion. *spoiler*

This playthrough I'm going with 'naughtiness'. I do wonder though, if you spared the Slime Girl in the tutorial you still have enough 'naughtiness' for when it becomes relevant? (2.0 perhaps?) I'm expecting to meet her again in a future version, as the game is implying this (my reason for sparing her).

Helpful transitions and points-of-no return notifications then. Good to take note of.

That's fair. As long as they're affordable and/or have decent duration I'll happily stock up on some repellent to keep the zubat off.

You know, I never actually noticed that unequipping and re-equipping the swim-wear would manually change her sprite/avatar back and forth. I thought it was just set one way or the other after asking the NPC at the beach to help her change her sprite back to the default appearance. Then the cart animation somehow overrides that and sets Nadya's appearance to whatever she has equipped at the time. Mystery solved. Kind of.

Is there a specific timing to when i should press down in that screenshot? because just holding down isn't working for me 🙁

It's broken for me as well. That's why I posted the screenshot. It's not your timing. It's something wrong with the current version. We'll have to wait for an update, or for someone to share a save game that is right after that point. Won't be able to get past it if your screen looks like the screenshots I shared.

I've gone ahead and released another (silent) update. See if this fixes the mine cart.

The odd part is how many are able to complete the cart, currently. It seems to be a glitch that affects only a couple people, which is making it hard to figure out. If some are able to complete the cart while others can't...well damn...that's a head scratcher.

There must be something else at work that is causing the glitch for some. Let's see how the update does.

The cart glitch is still happening for me too, even with the update.. >< Just like practice showed, turn 11 leads to a game over.

It was glitched for me in the beginning, but after your first update it was fixed for me it seems. It might have something to do with people holding the buttons, or just pressing them maybe. That would sorta explain why not everyone gets the bug.

Guarantee it wasn't this. Tried all different ways after reading about those problems in the thread. Wonder if it might be related to the Vista Machine I run this sort of game on. Or, perhaps I've got an out of date version of the RTP. Seems unlikely that it's related to any decisions made in game. I haven't worked with RPGMaker very much, so, tough to say for sure.

No time for a few days, but I'll try reinstalling RTP, if newest update doesn't work for me and report back.

Okay, looking at it again, it doesn't seem my edit was saved. Hold on, I'll get this reuploaded with the fix and we'll see if it does it or not.

By this point, I'm sure I've removed whatever fixed it to begin with :lol Seriously, this is the weirdest thing. If I ever do something similar to the mine cart, no Game Over special scene! I just need to leave things alone haha.

Alright, file is reuploaded. It's still 1.95d, but let us seeee if it let's everyone continue.

Really freaking hope so...

Yay! I think you finally solved it! at least for me ^^ great job c:

Latest build fixed it for me as well. Appreciate you putting in the time to fix it.

I'm so glad to hear that! If a glitch or bug is stopping people from continuing my game, I definitely want to fix it.

I want everyone to be able to play and have fun with tickle games (kind of shows with the translation thread so everyone has access), especially any that I make.

By the way, I don't want to be annoying, but did the PM with the scene idea I had reached you? Just asking because I didn't get any reply, and noticed that for some reason it doesn't even show in sent messages here...

But anyway, I am not sure why everyone had so much troubles with minecart sequence... I encountered the bug once initially, but exiting the game and loading save just before entering cart again, somehow fixed it for me XD

Yessir. Already sent you back a PM, so double check your inbox.

The cart has been a very odd bug. Never seen a glitch happen like that, and the original cart didn't have anyone talking about it bugging either (not that I'm aware of). But, from the looks of things, it's all better 🙂

Not sure if TickleTheater PM system is broken or something then, but I didn't get any reply, and can't find it in my inbox, in fact the newest message there is from few months ago...

The version of the game that I have ends just after the fight with the zombie lady. How much has been added to the game since then?

Strange...Well, I just forwarded the message to you. Let's see if this gets to you or not.

How much has been added to the game since you get to the Kootchie Kingdom:
Absolutely nothing.

2.0 is where you'll pick up from that point. 1.95 introduced several events, encounters, qol changes, minor balance changes, and additions to the story prior to fighting her.

Hey guys, can anyone give me an hint? I'm stuck in the escape tunnel and can't find the shovel to clean the rails. I fought both the ghosts and the spider...

EDIT: Found it and finished the 1.95v. Any information for the 2.0 to be released?
