What do you think was one of the biggest events to happen in comics that really helped a hero build it's own mythos? For me, it's a toss-up between the death of Gwen Stacy in Spiderman and the death of Barry Allen in DC's Crisis on Infinite Earths.

I know it's gonna seem like a copout since this comic isn't EXACTLY about superheroes. But I'd say the most defining moment...saddest...everything for all characters involved, is when David dies in Strangers in Paradise.

Other than that it really depends for me on who is writing. Some stuff seems flashy and they don't end up sticking with it. (The perpetual bringing characters back from the dead.)

Maybe when the Phoenix is born...maybe when the joker shoots Barbara Gordon...I'd say it was pretty shocking and that did a number on the mind of the reader. I dunno! So many to choose from.

But how would Doom know to study him? Are we talking THEY KNOW they're gonna fight beforehand and have time to prepare? Or they ran across one another while wreaking havoc?

Ok, if it was a chance meeting, Magneto wins, hands down. But Doom keeps tabs on any potential threat to his plans on world domination and always has contingency plans. So, if Doom had time to plan, could he beat Magneto or would Erik Lensher still prevail over the genius that is Doom?

I think if Doom had time to prepare he'd definitely win because he's smart enough to be able to create his own advantages, whether it be armor, weapons etc. Better not use the doombots though unless they're made of rubber. I am betting he could manipulate Magneto into following him into an area they become locked in that Magneto can't manipulate. From there it's curtains.

I think cats would be too uninterested in being ticklers and dogs wouldn't bother because their attention span wouldn't allow it.
