What Were Your Worst Childhood Fears?

I will concur about the whole centipede thing. Not sure about this tropical one but I recall watching a nature documentary and they were showing a centipede hanging from a ceiling, capturing and eating a bat. A BAT! Damn nature you scurry
 
And the whole "they're more afraid of you then you are of them" does NOT apply to the wandering spider. They are highly aggressive, and have been none to actively chase after people.

Spiders and other insects creep me out, sure, but I can just ask someone to squish it. You know what I'm afraid of that can't be squished?
Clowns! Gosh darnit, you think they are only found in the circus. Next thing you know, they have invaded the drains waiting for kids with paper boats.

Oh, I want to tell you folks in advance: I like my panties clean and dry, so if anyone reads this post and is fixing to upload a certain picture, I'll be royally pissed.

I clicked the link and something touched my foot and I went into full-on ninja mode lol Pretty sure there is a 8 legged beast similar in my room or I had the same nightmare and tickly sensation 3 times last night. Thank you sir, of the links here ur is the 1 i didnt need 2 see
 
The Wandering Spiders are one of the few spiders considered an actual threat to humans. This is because they possess a great deal of venom (many times more than the latrotoxin black widows have), plus their habitats cross over with humans. The wandering spiders tend to 'wander' the ground at night (nocturnal, like most spiders), and humans have been known to step on them. I think there have been something around 13 deaths in the last century confirmed to be from this family of spiders, and two of those deaths were from the same actual spider (but don't quote me on this, I'm doing all this from memory).

Fun trivia - the greek name for the wandering spider family, 'Phoneutria', means "murderess".

What you don't realize is that fly she's holding is as large as a truck.

Oh, and her name is Phoneutricianna, she said it's nice to meet you. She's in her school's cheerleading team and aspires to devour the team captain and claim the position. So adorable~! x3

Yeahp, there's some nightmare fuel for 'ya.

Sometimes I'm glad to have poor eyesight. If I know I'm clicking on a spider link, I can just take them off and all I see is a kinda greyish green blob.

But yeah, if that shit happened near me irl, I would Fking carpet bomb the neighborhood.
 
I use to be scared of falling off my bed and into a giant hole that would swallow me up and I would be in the dark alone forever and no one would hear me scream!

No no, I believe that. xD Not the actual giant hole part, but during that phase when falling off the bed was the happenin' thing, it did feel like the fall was waaay bigger than it actually was - like falling off the roof of a house or something.

Though it wasn't a "fear" for me. It just felt that way. The mysterious black hole that was underneath the bed, that someone mentioned about earlier, was more of a genuine fear... :unsure
