I seriously wonder what the hell is going on with the video game market right now. Seriously, let's look at this...
- Square-Enix, one of (well, two of, technically) the most well-known makers of awesome games has imploded.
- Crapcom is...ugh...I don't even know where to start...
- I found out that Midway has been bankrupt for years, which was disheartening
- Activision is too busy cranking out CoD games and rolling in money from that, which has made a horrible stereotype for "successful" current games, caused Japanese companies to switch up their usually-okay formulas to try to emulate, and also is probably why Turtles in Time remake was so painful
- Microsoft is going all Big Brother on everyone (it's still there, I'll never trust em!)
- Sony is going to be picking up the "charge to play online" bs with the PS4...at least I'll still get my library of free games with that basically forced membership...hopefully...
- Nintendo's been promising me games that I've been wanting to play for years that STILL will not be out in the near future
- Indie developers have become, at the least for me and most of my friends, the go-to source for anything quality recently and upcoming
- Mister Mega Man himself, Inafune, has had to resort to creating a "new" OC and launch a kickstarter just to bring those style of games back to people (also, go donate to that NOW!)
....ugh, it's late and I can't think straight, but you get the idea. It definitely has my gamer side worried as hell. Oh, and I have no idea what Beckers and Debble are talking about, but this sounds like something that I should have been a part of since day now. Guess I know what I'm doing tomorrow!
