Whatchu playing?

Been getting into Path of Exile and Left 4 Dead 2. Also shout out to Yume Nikki for being a truly bizarre game.

I've played PoE twice since I heard about it. The first time I played there was only Act I and II, so I lost interest fairly quickly. I came back a few months later and they'd patched in Act III, and I played through the first difficulty setting.

I actually really enjoyed the game. I liked the style, since it reminded me a great deal of Diablo II, which was easily my favorite childhood game.

That was easily my reason for trying it, it has a lot to offer while still keeping that Diablo theme and play style. The skill choice freedom makes it so you can play a class but never have the same build.

I also played through the first difficulty to unlock Scion who has a truly free skill build unlike other classes that are stuck with 2/3 (Str, Dex, Int). She has some amazing skills so far like the Ghost Knight, similar to Iron Golem from Diablo except that you can compose an entire knight of different armor based on stats, instead of one golem from one piece of armor.

I remember playing through Yume Nikki several years ago and I still think its one of the most confusing games i've played

I very recently started playing PoE as a summoner witch (given that I loved playing a summonancer in D2). Definitely reminds me of D2, though I'm not a fan of the currency system, and although I find the way the skill tree is setup, I'm also finding it even less forgiving then the D2 one, while the min/maxing elements make is seem less intuitive to me.

I also both love and hate that there are no class specific abilities or skills. On the one hand, it's a really interesting mechanic, especially when you can do something like choose between a witch summoner who has minions at max power, or a templar summoner who has less minion ability, but can also fight alongside them. On the other hand, I kind of like being able to say "I'm a necro, I can summon minions. He's a paladin, he can't"

Yume Nikki just messes me up, truly a game to play when you want bizarre, nothing else.

And I get where you are coming from Dentrag but in the end if you build to be a summoner, sure others can summon but their build will make it so you out perform since you are specializing in all the pre-requisites.

I think PoE's brilliant in almost all aspects. I'm not thrilled with the currency system, but I appreciate the effort to dip away from gold.

Overall, I just appreciate the fact that even though there will probably be only a few 'optimal' builds later on, you'll always be able to branch out and try new things, even if they aren't as time efficient. I don't like games that appear to have a variety of play styles, but once you get to the endgame, not only do you realize they're not efficient, but they aren't even viable. PoE does a fine job of avoiding that particular conundrum.

I'll have to disagree with you on that. I've found it to be very easy to make a build that isn't viable, and be forced to restart from the beginning.

I didn't say there weren't non-viable builds in PoE.

I said that there were more than just one or two viable builds.

And I'm not saying that there are only 1 or 2. I'm just saying it's a lot easier to make a build that has no hope of beating the game, and harder to be able to make a decent build on your own.

Been playing more Vindictus lately. Beckers helped reignite my grind lust.

And, well, always been playing some Neptunia. Need my ultra weaboo status after all.

I've been enjoying having my Xbox 360 back. I recently downloaded Castle Crashers, Outland and Scott Pilgrim vs The World on Xbox arcade and they're a blast!

I"m hooked on facebook games...candy crush, bubble witch, farm hero, pet rescue, hot shots and pepper panic.

Nice to see ya isabeau...

I'm playing Ultima Forever: Quest for the Avatar on my iPhone5s

So I looked at those pics and thought: "Huh.. Looks like an MMORPG.. Imma check it out."

So.. I tried to track the game down, and discovered that the Vindictus website is down, and the European server won't let me download the game because it doesn't like Americans very much.

So at the end of the day I have 1.5 hours pissed down the drain, and two useless accounts created; which means that another two companies out there got my Email address, whilst giving nothing in return.

I'd call that a successful endeavor.

Currently rocking a female Hellsguard Marauder on Final Fantasy XIV named Feather Blossom (I squeed when I was able to give her short baby pink hair and dark brown skin SQUEEE). My only complaint is that there is no Dancer advanced class I can be (just a bard and bah, I don't wanna sign, I wanna DANCE!). 🙁 😉 :lol

This comes from a fun filled adventure last night. I'd like to thank Nomming, Knicks255, and Toaster (I think that's Tom's name here?) for making this happen, but mostly Tom for capturing this classy moment. My scoot is like a gazelle, look at all that grace.

Dragon's Crown with my bride to be soon.

We're rocking the Amazon/Sorceress. ^_^

I was gunna come here and bitch about Diablo 3 being a total let down but I ran out of room before I could even mention the watered down PvP. And I can right fully so having played D1, hellfire (D1s unofficial xpac), D2, and briefly playin LoD. Blizzard got me good lol. from greastest disappointed areas to least would be
1. D3 ACT 1 is same as the original Diablo
2. Dueling - PVP
3. Character builds.
4. Over done gear. 147K weps?? -_-
If you've haven't played the first two I might recommend trying it. If you've played 2 you're in for a let down. And... I only ever heard a hand full on bnet say they played 1 so, but if thats the case dont get 3 and destroy the nostalgia of childhood years. After all, the ONLY reason I play games is b.c "...he is known to mortal men as Diablo" - Cain.

Injustice: Gods Among Us

GREAT story mode, I haven't gotten into the individual fight mode yet...

I was really surprised by the story in that. It's really good. And it gave plausible (in comic book terms) reasons for how each person could fight heroes who would normally easily outclass them brilliantly. Unfortunately, I was rubbish at the game.

I'm currently playing The Amazing Spider-man 2 game. It's not bad, but something I'd recommend to get if you can get it cheap. It's a lot of fun (the swing mechanic alone is worth buying for as you properly have control over your left and right web slingers) but I get the feeling that it could have done with a few months of polishing before it was released.

I tried Dark Souls 2 and hated it. Everyone goes on about how it's brilliant that it rewards perseverance and springs fatal surprises on the player, but I see instantly killing people because of something they'd no way of foreseeing as a crappy cheat that kills the fun. If I wanted that in my life I'd drive blindfolded.

Yeah, Injustice: Gods Among Us is a good game. Still, I kinda doubt that even is Batman's physical abilities are boosted by several thousand percent that he'd be able to survive Zod taking him up into orbit and plowing him through the bloody MOON. LOL. Still, great game and awesomely dark and haunting story. I only wish we'd get an X-Men Legends 3 RPG. ^_^
