As I'm reading this whole thread, I really think that the major problem here is the public airing that Babyshambles did with his problem with the mods. It created much unpleasantness, and necessitated a huge thread to which Jeff and everyone else is responding.
I've been here nearly seven years, and there have been times I havent been happy with mod decisions made in threads I was involved in, anything from rude comments to stories I've posted, to attacks in the P and R, etc. What did I do? I NEVER aired any of that publicly. I pmed Mimi, Myriads, at al, and discussed all of that with them privately, figuring that they didnt need to be attacked by me in public. Venting my feelings in public would have caused unpleasantness for them, and would have resulted in my own ban. For me, even when I wasnt happy with decisions made, being here was the most important issue for me. I figured, that if at any point I wanted to leave, I would do so on my own, which is still a decision that would be arrived at with dignity, instead of being tossed from a forum for continually arguing with mods about threads and posts.
Baby, I believe that if you had pmed Jeff or other mods privately about this situation, instead of airing it on the forum, they might have had a far different reaction than they did. It would have been a private matter between you and them, as it should be, that would have been dealt with, as it was when I had my problems, instead of getting dozens of people involved, and creating sniping threads, that causes general unpleasantness on the forum.
Ultimately, how you respond is up to you, but take it from someone who had problems. If you want to stay here, engaging in these sorts of threads isnt worth it. I'm saying this not to be mean, or take issues, but to try and offer what I feel is sound advice that will help you now, and down the road.
If any mods find issue with my post, please feel free to edit, but I'm doing my best to try and calm this down, because, quite frankly, this whole situation is one of the most unfortunate ones I've seen in my years here, and it would be productive for all of us if it could be calmed down.
