Actually, I'm with you, ky. That doesn't look at all like I typically envision the famous fiction detective.

Just a hunch, but I'm thinking that "may" be more of a pulp-style magazine rather than a comic book. I could be completely mistaken in that assumption, though. Especially seeing as how most all of the other covers in this collection are from comics.

I remember as a youngster in the 70's and into the 80's, seeing Ellery Queen fiction mags on news-stands, along with Alfred Hitchcock Mysteries, and so on.

Good God. Where did the years go? I imagine 80% of Gen-Y couldn't even tell me who Alfred Hitchcock was, much as I couldn't tell them who the fuck Yugio or Zubio-san Techio(or whatever) is. 🙄
