Granted there are a lot of bands on this thread we don't like....even though most of them are proficient(?) enough on what to do in a studio.

Anybody ever hear of The Shaggs? These were three 14 year old girls who COULDN'T play their instruments.......yet their dad got them a record deal and they released two albums in the early 70s. They're SO bad, it's like each girl is playing a different tune....... of noise!

Yeah, that was pretty bad... Not as bad as Underoath though.
On another note, whats up with these bands making the strangest damn faces when they sing? Like The Almost (crap band, staying on topic...), this guys makes the weirdest freaking faces, and he looks like an ugly girl I went to school with...

> I guess it wouldn't be as bad as a spectator instead of working security for it... that and they need to learn to even semi-enunciate.

- Default

- Nickelback
> My innate Canadian-ness forces me to respect the band but when your music begins to sound repetitive and the radio plays it almost 24/7, something needs to change.

> A speechless kind of hatred

These bands are amongst the worst by my opinion...
 
The Dave Matthews Band ... by far the worst band in the history of the world ... yes a bold statement with such timeless acts as the Counting Crows, Creed, Air Supply, Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Boston, umm... Pink Floyd (i'm laying the sarcasm on pretty thick)...

A close second to Dave Matthews Band are Phish...over-glorified cover band with a guitar that took himself WAY too seriously because he could play masturbatory guitar solos that lasted 20 minutes and were about as creative as the Atari.

I will add Green Day to this list, as well as John Cougar Mellencamp, and finally... Aerosmith...despite Joe Perry being nasty.

I'm sorry but I have to laugh at this.East coast hardcore is hands down the best hardcore ANYWHERE.No questions asked..To not like hardcore is one thing,obviously you dont like the music.But to single out the east coast.Come on now,lets be serious.The NYC scene basically started the movement.The majority of people have never heard real hardcore bands.Rancid?Dropkick Murphys?Dropkick is definately one of the biggest underground bands out there today,not to mention the best band to listen to when you are getting smashed. 😀
 
In the late 70s, there was a tendancy in top forty disco/funk for multiple people to cry out, "woo? woo?" I hate any band that ever did that.

I've never heard anybody talk about this band so I don't really know how the name is correctly pronounced. I pronounce it "PORT-a-shed," you know, like Port-a-Potty.

I only heard this song at all because recently somebody here on the forum had a You-Tube video of their concert embedded in his signature, and one day I clicked on it. Big mistake. After listening to about half of it, I couldn't stand any more. The body of the song seemed to my ear to be a ripoff of Bob Seiger's "Turn the Page," with the half-time wavering tremolo-laiden Fender Rhodes. That in itself wasn't so bad, but the "singer" was this anorexic emo chick caterwauling in a pitch calculated to be as annoying as possible lyrics I can only guess were meant to be anti-war, but made no sense whatsoever.

These guys really pegged the suck meter. Needless to say, I don't click on any more signature You-Tubes.

The Counting Crows. They were the poster children for the whiny "rock" of the late 1990's.
 
A lot of choices on here don't surprise me, especially with emo and nu metal spewing their garbage about these days. But I'm honestly shocked at some one the choices on here. Radiohead, The Beatles, Dave Matthews Band, Phish, Yes, Rush, Pink Floyd - these are considered bad bands? Are your ears set on dumb? J/K. It seriously surprised me though. These bands represent such creativity, style, tastefulness and skill. Maybe not everyones taste, but give credit where credit is due peoples.

Okay, but in all fairness Creed was not a Christian band, contrary to popular belief. Admittedly, many of their lyrics were Christian or spiritual in nature, and Scott Stapp is openly Christian. But Creed was never signed to a Christian record company, nor did they ever view themselves as a Christian band. Just clearing that up for everyone.

Aerosmith - "Toys in the Attic" was good, everything else sucked

Elton John - extremely overrated...even more so with Bernie Taupin co-writing

Rod Stewart - ugh!

KC and the Sunshine Band - disco still sucks!

Any band from the last two years - Billy Talent, Three Days Grace, Blue October...etc.
