Ok, here is a list of things i liked in this movie off the top of my head.
-Beast. Always been a big fan of beast. Mind of a scientist, heart of a poet, and physic of...well, a beast.
-New x-men. I admit i liked the bolstering of the ranks. To be honest, thats one thing thats always disapointed me about the X-men movies. Not enough X-men.
-More mutants for the brotherhood. I also thought they needed some new mutants for the villians.
And here's what i didn't like.
-Juggernaught. Even though i love vinnie Jones, and i like the charactor, i think there's too much history that goes with the juggernaut to simply have him as dumb muscle like he was in the movie. They should have just got "the Blob" to fill that role.
-Mystic. I liked her charactor. How they removed her powers was just lousy and in no way added to the story i though.
-As i believe others have stated before, too many mutants, not enough time. I did enjoy the increase in X-men, there was no real time to build on them.
-Nightcrawler. Or to be more accurate the lack of him. After seeing clips for the game thats supposed to be based on the movie(and i could have sworn i saw him in a movie clip) after the second movie i was sure he'd stick around. Sadly, it seems he didn't.
-Sabbertooth. Or once again, to be more accurate, the lack of sabertooth. IMO, having sabertooth in the first movie was great, and the fight between him and wolverine was a great slugfest. Now, i understand why he wouldn't be in the second movie, with Magneto imprisioned and all, but there was no excuse for him to be lacking in the third movie, and could easily have replaced Juggernaught for the "Muscle" role.
-Death of Xavier. Now, this did bother me. I don't think he should have been killed by Jean. It just seems wrong, but moreso, it seems wrong that Magneto wouldn't help him. While i admit i don't read the comic a lot, it seemed to me more allong the lines that Magneto would be able to kill Xavier if he was fighting him, i don't think he would simply sit idle and let Xavier just get killed. Maybe somebody else feels differently and has read the comics more, but from my understanding it didn't fit.
-Death of Cyclops. Now this REALLY pissed me off. not so much that a main charactor died. going into the movie, i already knew from a review i read in the newspaper at least two main charactors were going to die,(I expected them to be Xavior and Magneato as they joined forces to fight Phoenix, as i think they should have)but it was scott who was killed. This was just totally out of place, and i think any fan of the series, be it cartoon, comic, or movie knows this. And even if he was to die, he was killed in such an incredibly sub-par way. I mean, if he died killing Jean, then yeah, that i could live with. But this just pisses me off.
-Use of mutants as fodder. Now, Magneto using the other mutants as cannon fodder is totally out of charactor. It's just not him. He has always seemed to me as to be one to view other mutants as his children, more or less, and to use them as a shield just doesn't fit.
thats all that i can think of off the top of my head, but as one can see, i deffinitly disliked more things then what i liked.
