As for why Casey Mears is second- he was second at Daytona while Kenseth was only 15th. And then he got 7th to Kenseth's 1st at Fontana. That adds up to more points. Just goes to show you don't have to win races to win the championship.

I went to daytona this year for the first time. Had a good time, drink drink... gulp gulp.....Sat. was 81 degrees and sunny but sun. was cold, windy and raining. Big dale jr. fan. also go to dover del. and pocono every year.

Pretty cooL, Joe. IN spike of the teasing and fun we are actually very much Nascar fans and enjoy all about it. Good for you Joe! Dover and Pocono would be the ones I'd be most likely to be able to get to easily as well. Haven't been yet. I've been told that you just can't see the race as well in person so that's holding me back.

I do want to go just for the experience of it all though and in that case I think I want to do Charlotte Speed Week. Plus I'm hearing it looks like Charlotte is going to win the bid for the Hall of Fame, which gives me another reason to go there.

You would enjoy Charlotte for sure. Also, several of the towns east of there on I-85 toward Winston-Salem have shops that sometimes offer tours and the Earnhart exhibit is in one of them. Lots of Nascar things to do down there.Let alone the weekend. I'm taking a chance that its safe again, but things could go south quickly.

Sadly, my busy travel schedule is gearing up and I'll be in the air for the Cup race from Vegas. I always try to avoid hearing the winner til I get home to see it on Tivo- sometimes I make it, sometimes I don't. It's not a big deal because I really just like watching the race.

So, those of you who will be watching it in real time, think of me as I fly over your heads!

I think Mark used the Viagra Ford for so long that it just stayed tight, wasn't flexible enough in the corner and they couldn't get it to relax on off days, so they had to go the the AAA sponsor. You think?
