I am taking Amtrak, not flying. I don't like short flights in small planes. Also, I can bring wine with me on a train but not on an airplane.
 
Yeah I hate planes but love trains.

We got a little snow here this morning. Roads mostly are wet but there's some slush around and the grass got coated. It's not even winter yet and it was like 80 degrees a few weeks ago.
 
In the 30's here, but no snow. Lots of rain, though, endless rain. 🙁
 
The weekend should be nicer but a bit windy which will make it feel a little chillier than it really is. I'm starting to think maybe we're going to have a real winter this upcoming season Mils.
 
We can't control the weather so we'll have to make the most of it. I ordered a new winter coat a little warmer than the one I have.

I know. We keep the SSF going! Can't believe it's Thanksgiving Week. Enjoy the temps on Tuesday because it might be a while till we see it that mild again.
 
Unfortunately, the mild temperatures today will be marred by rain. ⛈️

The rain gives me another reason that I'm glad to take Amtrak instead of flying to Syracuse.

I did. No getting sick this year thankfully lol. The timing of that last year was crazy. It was great though. This whole week has been. My brother coming from San Diego was fun too. I'm going to the city today to see a Christmas play and have dinner. The next 2 weeks work will be nuts. And then I'll have a 4 day weekend Mon/Tues the 16/17 followed by a 5 day break for Christmas 23/24/25.
 
Hope that you enjoy the play. I have seen only one play (off Broadway) in all of 2024. I am sure that you will enjoy the 4-day weekend when it comes.
 
Yes it was great and dinner in the city always is. But it was really cold! Glad I dressed warm but still. I guess we have to grin and bear it huh?
 
Yes the weather guy I follow who is excellent said just because we start off cold in December does not mean we're going to have a cold/snowy winter. Sometimes the opposite happens.
 
Anything beyond the 10-day forecast is speculation. That forecast does say 50+ degrees for Monday to Wednesday of next week. 😀
