Hockey World Juniors 2009/2010 - DREAM TEAM!

Almost time boys! :woot2: Hope to see you all there! 😀

D00ds. We were supposed to start half an hour ago, and it's just me and Leaf here! 🙁

We have to hold the draft tonight, so you guys really have to, you know, show up soon D:

Ok, seriously... XD You lot are 2 hours late D: I'm up at 4 fucking am for this, and I'm off on a full-day road trip in 5 hours. Boo! 😛

We're still doing the draft tonight, even if we're only two people. I mean, everyone knew the date. After tonight I'm away until the 26th, so the draft will count unless you guys can get together and redo it before the 23rd. Leaf will have to be here for the draft in my place if we redo it, and he can't attend after the 23rd.

So if that deadline is missed, tonights draft counts and you'll just have to draft the "leftovers" at your own time instead. I'm sorry, but, we really can't do it any other way. The tournament starts in 6 days.

...and the draft gets started! I won't bother to put out rounds or anything, just the rosters. (since there's still time to hold a REAL draft, we're just two people, etc. lol)

Yeah, just so everyone knows, I'll leave Leaf in charge while I'm gone, so he decides what goes, and will help you with the draft and all.

*puts down foot, or something*

Oh and Merry Christmas to everyone!

Yeah... sorry I fucked up. I thought I was going to make the draft this morning, then around 7:00 I got summoned to play goal for my buddy's hockey team for a game at 8, and I had to rush to get ready for that, and completely forgot about this until now.

Anyway, from the leftovers, here are my choices if I can still participate:
Defence
Cam Fowler (USA)
John Carlson (USA)
Anton Klementyev (Rus)

Forwards
Jordan Schroeder (USA)
Adam Henrique (Can)
Jan Kana (Czech)
Chris Kreider (USA)

Goalies
Can I call dibs on whoever starts the first game for Russia? They still haven't decided on a netminder. Bobkov maybe?
Martin Jones (CAN)

Good to see you Poopies! 😀 Well, if you were playing hockey then of course we forgive you! :woot:

Carso's working on your picks now I think... shouldn't be a problem! I think you have more to select as well... two lines per team! 😀

Cheers

Of course you can still participate! Just a shame no one showed up tonight 🙁 We'll have to do better for the Olympics pool!

Schroeder is already taken, but the rest sounds good. Since no one showed up we're doing two lines, so be sure to fill all those spots 🙂

Edit: I'm guessing Igor Bobkov will be the starter for Russia, but I can't promise anything. Would be good if we could get a definite name though, since other participants might want to draft Russian goalies as well

Lame! When I logged in nobody had Shroeder. I guess I took too long making that post.

Forwards:
Jeremy Morin (USA)
Teemu Hartikainen (FIN)
Burmistrov (Rus)

Defense:
Tommi Kivisto (FIN)
Michal Jordan (Czech)

Goalies: Give me bobkov i guess

Sounds good man! 😀 So I guess rather than do another draft, we should keep as is? Let Tom and McNoodle pick-up from the leftover scraps? :excited:

Well me and Leaf were still doing the draft over Yahoo, so maybe that's why Schroeder hadn't been picked yet. I believe he was one of the 4-5 last picks.

Also, you already had 3 defensemen, so I'm assuming Michal Jordan is the one you're least interested in, since you listed him last?

Because in that case, the roster's finalized! 🙂

Actually, I'd rather have Jordan than Kivisto. So can you change that plllllease?

Ur lucky Carso... I probably would have picked Schroeder with my first pick... that or Ellis. Seeing him play last year in Ottawa, I worked it and saw Canada vs. USA on New Years's Eve, Schroeder knows how to score. Good luck to you all and count me in on the Olympics if that ends up being done

Sorry you couldn't make it, Dogg! I'm not sure how the others feel... but we could always try to do this again if we get everyone's support. I do have Carso's list just incase... but as he said, we don't have much time.

In any case, you could also make a team out of what is left if you're still interested? It's all for fun anyway 🙂

We'll definitely count you in for the Olympics. Have a very Merry Christmas and Go Leafs Go!!! :woot:

Erm... I mean Go Canada Go :canada: LOL

Trade announcement!! 😀

Carso has informed me he would like to trade his first pick, Mikael Granlund, for Mattius Tedenby.

McNoodle and Texastickler... I'm sorry I haven't been able to help you formulate your picks. I will try if I can in the next little while... but please have a look at who's still available. I don't see why you're picks can't be made even once the tourny has started.... which is shortly! :woot:

Merry Christmas boys!

Oh, and apparently Dmitri Kulikov (RUS) wasn't on the finalized Russian roster. Since I drafted him I shall have to switch my pick to Tim Erixon (SWE), but since I do the change today I won't get any points for the goal and assists he had in his last game.

Hehe, I believe Canada plays their second game tonight, so that should even things out. 😛

I dunno, I doubt he'll be able to keep it up against the better teams. I think the "real" stars will catch up fairly soon. 😉
