Hey milagros, I was asking my die-hard Cub fan dad what he thought of the Cubs not signing Rafael Furcal. He said it was no big loss because of Furcal's history of DUI's and such. He said that's why the Dodgers would only sign him for 3 years cause thats the most you can insure a contract for in MLB is 3 years.

Assuming Milton Bradley and Jeff Kent are both back next year (sorry if there's been any deals with them, I haven't been following the deals too closely), are you concerned about more problems in the Dodger clubhouse next year?

Oh yeah? Well, the Angels won the World Series in 2002 and ... never mind. 😛

I was very, very happy when the Angels won the World Series in 2002. I don't have to tell you that their opponents were the hated jints. 😛

Yes, led by Mike Scioscia, the wonderful Angels of 2002 came back from a 5-run deficit in game 6, won game 7, and thus defeated the hated jints, crushing the hopes of their evil fans, and killing the dream of The Evil One (Barry Bonds) to win a World Series. 😀

One of the great heart-breaking losses for the hated jints of all time, right up there with their loss to the Yankees in 1962. 😀

Clemens led the NL in ERA at 1.87, nobody was close to him. (Second best was Petite at 2.39, then Willis at 2.63.) 1.87 is fabulous.

Piazza batted .251 last year. OK, he was playing hurt, but he batted .266 in 2004, so I don't think he will ever get back to what he did with the Dodgers (which was an incredible .362 in 1997, and .336 in 1996).

He is a catcher for goodness sakes. Of course his numbers will go down. But if he becomes a DH only Piazza will hit 35 homeruns and drive in 90 runs again. That is a fact. By the way, he was hurt in 2004 by being switched back and forth from catcher to firstbase and injured his wrist twice that season when baserunners ran into his wrist at firstbase.

Not likely. Dodgers better have a decent backup cause guaranteed he's gonna get some playing time.
