Having the expected release date and other major updates reflected in the OP tends to be helpful.

I don't wanna risk getting people too hyped in case I can't make an end of the month. Hyping the impatient people however XD

Thanks man. I'd say a lot of the ones out there have a decent, thought out story to them. Hell just look at the Watcher of Animu's game "The Laughing Isles"

Dis bro is best bro in broville. Whatta guy, whatta guy.

Many of the Japanese ones have hit or miss stories; only about 3 I'd say have anything good. Majority of the English ones have good stories, though some are just...ahem...

Ok so a small update on progress:

Just finished the first big scene set thing for the first chapter.. Yeah I know I was meant to do it the other day but things got a lil cray-cray. You will not need to restart your save from the demo, you just need to go through the mirror as per usual. However, I have tweaked some stuff from the start. I've added a chapter intro screen thing for chapter 1. I've also done some adjustments to the librarian scene. Not sure why but I kept on forgetting that Ace has balloon event things... so I've made everyone's favourite librarian even more expressive and cute with them! (YAY!).

I've got to make a quick shop run and deliver a letter, when I get back I'm getting straight back into development and working on the next section of this chapter (can't wait for this, I've had the idea playing about in my head for so long... it seems so cute~).

You're being a little bit nationalistic here, huh?

And what about all the Italian tickling games?

Awww, thanks for the compliment!

I've only played through a the ones that got translated to english (I can't take the translations that Atlas trick gives me seriously XD). Labyrinth of Laughter was a good one... from what got translated! (Seriously though, if someone ones to translate it to english, just give me a holla! I can decode the game files so you can). ToG had a great story going for it... shame it's the "Never Gonna Have An Ending Story".

Another update on game progress:
Got me some Lucozade so to aid in pulling an all nighter! Hoping to have at least this area done by the end of the evening. Also a note for you with future stuff for this game: Just cause you get an item early or can trade it for something, doesn't mean you should straight away! Some choices will lead you down different paths, some items may open different "doors" for your journey.

An all nighter? You don't have to hurry, especially if you're busy with other things.

Not really busy with much tbh, just spent most of last week at my friends helping her cheer up... so I didn't get diddly done on the game XD I've got nothing else to do with my day other than paint my warhammer if there's any sunlight out (Fuck you dark clouds of rainy rainyness!) So hyped for the upcoming Space Marine codex with Black Templars. Though I might just spend tomorrow doing some more work to game, see if I can get it ready for an early next week release. I usually do the work on the game in the evenings ya see.

I can't speak for all Italian games, but I (and some others) have pointed out that Screamer is sometimes a little light on the detail when it comes to describing scenes.

Nationalistic? Not at all. Didn't mention anything regarding nation in my post (unless you're saying that USA = the English nation).

Japanese games are few and far. Many aren't up to snuff. Many go for the generic or all-over tickle scenes and the "hahaha" text that, when mixed together as the only things, makes for a VERY bland form of entertainment. Many are just mediocre. Others are practically gems. But off the top of my head, only 3 actually are worth their salt (1 or 2 more if you're ok with offensive material like vore, underage rape, gore, etc.) Of course, all these gems are also incomplete because the Japanese makers just...stop. Which sucks. We do have another one, however, with Tickled Warriors. I'm hoping that gets finished since I've liked the game so far for not being generic.

I didn't mention Italian games, which is my fault. Though many of them either were translated into English or were made in English. To this day, I still think Screamer's best work was Kusuguri Project. Nothing has gotten close to it so far, even though he brought us into the world of tickle games with Lala who became, in a way, his mascot (and we all do like Lala). Screamer's games have flaws, just like the rest, but I was not trying to discredit his contributions to tickle games. We are all still looking forward to Tickling Gear Solid.

As for English games, well...we first started tickle RPG's with a native English game - Cackling Cave. From which gave birth to DeusEx and his famous Tower of Gargalesis. As time has gone on, we're starting to get more English games made from other users who have dipped their hands into the seductive world of RPG making. Lurker's Love and Hate 2 continues to be a game I absolutely love (all dem great foot tickle scenes!) Now we've got The Curse and The Laughing House to look forward to, and Xtreme still sounds like he is going to continue his game. Only issue we have is what plagues most game makers...people FINISHING their games. And no, not all games are "perfect" either, as I mentioned in the previous post.

It's funny to me cause I used to make lots of games using the old RPG makers and I once had a conversation with an RL friend about trying out a fetish game... I never bothered in the end because I didn't have my own computer at the time, so I was paranoid as fuck of doing it. Then when I did get my own laptop, I completely forgot about the idea! When ToG came out i did make a start at reviving the old idea, but for some reason even with all their stats set to 1 the first boss is still un-killable and keeps one hitting me. Which is part of what birthed this project, well that and seeing SomeOrdinaryGamers and Markiplier go through games like "Witch's House". I've watched (and am still watching through) so many of those style of games to get some ideas that can be used for this game (Don't worry, there will be no blood, sacrificing of frogs or de-limbinginging teddy bears in this game)

I'm still waiting on the artist. I really wish I could continue. Even Japanese readers are wondering this too.

You had any contact with them?

On another note, anyone now how to get rid of the poll on this topic? I wanna remove it since it's long since finished.

Yeah I posted a message explaining in the best way I could with translation. Apologizing that it's taking so long.

Quick Update on game status:

Almost ready for Chapter 1 to launch! I've cut a few things that I was originally gonna throw in cause I couldn't remember (Thanks again you iPod stealing fuckwit!)/think up a way to wriggle them into the game this early without messing up the "flow" later one. Good news is this means you guys get the game earlier! Bad news is, there isn't a grand amount being added with this update. Though that can mainly be blamed on the fact that the demo stuff is still part of the first chapter, so it's still a pretty meaty chapter in it's own right all things considered.

I will try get it up and live this week, but it might be affected by a few things so expect it somepoint on monday. I'm going to a gig for a band of a few very good friends of mine on Saturday. Cause the gig is a few towns over I'm having to stay at one of there's for the night, so that'll take about 2 days away from my work schedule. I would do some more work on it now, but I'm being dragged away by my friends to commit criminal deeds on Steam (Payday 2 FTW!). I've got the day free tomorrow after my doctors appointment at the crack of dawn, so I'll try power through and get the last few bits done and get this update out there! And though I'm sorry this update is small, it's building up for something bigger. It's also gonna add in a few more story mechanics that will help to make each persons experience a little bit different!

I seem to be stuck at the point after the demo. I saw an event in the hallway, but now can't figure out where to go. I don't think any new doors open.

Same here, I think there was supposed to be an event that triggered that didn't. Also, the first time I entered the library, I got a bit of text where Lucy mentioned something about being "back" in the mansion. I have to wonder if that text being out of place has something to do with the event trigger mis-firing.

I knew you said you hadn't added a whole lot, but geez, all we get is a door brighter than the sun we can't go into and that's it?

Heh, methinks it's a little broken right now. 😛

.... i see the problem. The fucking door has deleted itself! Bare with me, gonna update

Update has been made!
