well the wait does not bother me. when the updates come people will return. Until then, when you feel that urge, just pick it up and play through what is already done. He already has the script done....its all just the programming.
 
I absolutely can't beat the first guardian, Beelzebebe!
I tried with a Hero, with a Ninja, with a Soldier... is all worthless. She's just too much powerfull and she has too much resistance point... and yes, I buy the flaming trow... but I really can't beat her! What can I do?? 🙁

ur prob using ur skills wrong bud, make sure u get 1 point into extra hp and then some into boosted endurance pretty much with any character then focus on an attack skill, dont spread your points too thin early on
 
Dues you really should think about reducing the stamina/defense on all of these bosses.
 
Ok, so after 256 pages of this post, I finally got around to trying this (and the other) games like this. WOW! How stupid of me to not have tried them sooner. This one in particular is just incredible! I look forward to seeing more chapters of this game (which I'm assuming are coming).

Quick question, since I'm don't have the time or inclination (ok, I'm too lazy) to read thru the 250+ pages: What are these bonus scenes and how are they accessed? Also, in the main menu, where it says "tickle", is that to simply show what abilities you have or is there something more to it?

Anyway, again, incredible job on this game and can't wait for more! (There are only 2 chapters so far, right?)

For first question; they haven't been put in the game, you will be able to access them in a future update.

Second question; yep I believe that's all it's there for.

Oh and have you tried Lala's ordeal? I am currently playing that, and it's really good. Anyway good luck with your tickle gaming! 🙂

Yeah, I DL'ed LO, Labyrinth and ToG the same day. Like I said, I'm way behind. All three games are incredible. Kinda stuck on LO at the moment, so I'm taking a break from it to play ToG, which I just started over with a new character.

Ok, I didn't want to do this, but I'm stuck. How do I find the Fairy Forest? It's driving me nuts.

Apologies for (yet another) extreme hiatus, but I've finally got my computer repaired, tracked down the files I thought I'd lost, and gotten some free time.

My goal is to release a new link either tonight or tomorrow (as I have both days off from work). That link will include AT LEAST:

- The end of Chapter 3 (Fight with True Form Mamona, Silver and Kaguya Quest, Access to Paranoia).

However, I'm also working on several alterations that will be coming Soon (TM).

- Adding the Spaz quest, which will span a rather large new map, three new subbosses, and a new boss (complete with victory/torture scenes that are specific to Spaz).

- Completely redoing the bar game. My intention is to add new modes that can be unlocked upon completing a previous mode. I'll be removing the infinite supply of juices from the bar, to avoid abusing it, but the new modes will supply even better rewards.

New modes so far:

Tickle Arena - The Outsider is pit against another villager in a tickle fight, trying to find and exploit each others' weak spots. The fight continues until one participant can't take any more. The player choices at the beginning will affect how the scenes roll through this mini-game. There will be five "rounds" (which are unlocked by completing the previous round) with the final match being against Bunny (the waitress).

Endurance Run - In this game, the player chooses one of three scenarios that the Outsider must endure. The tickling continues until the Outsider runs out of Stamina (based on actual Stamina level) or until the buzzer rings. The scenarios actually drain your stamina, so to survive to the end, the Outsider will need to be sufficiently leveled. I don't intend for a Stamina boost to be necessary, but it may allow you to finish earlier.

Role-Play - In this game, the Outsider and Bunny will role-play an adventure titled "The Curse of Kiltzen Manor". The Outsider is a traveling exorcist who was sent to Kiltzen Manor to unravel the mystery of why everyone disappeared. It plays out like the maze at the beginning of the game: No defenses, traps everywhere. To complete this mini-game, the Outsider must successfully reach the end of the game. Keep in mind, that triggering most of the traps will result in the game ending.

You must finish each mode (Trivia Game, Endurance Run, Tickle Arena) to unlock the next, with Role-Play being the final game. There will be unique awards given at the completion of each game, with the prize for finishing Role-Play being both a Side Quest and a powerful piece of apparel.

- I'm removing the Bonus Scene option from Honey Bee. At the moment, it's just too much to work with. Don't worry, all scenes will be viewable in the bonus dungeon for beating the game. In response, I'm going through and adding several more "trap" scenes and bonus scenes that will be hidden in the environment (similar to the log scene).

- I'm going to be doing some number revision around the board. I'm going to glance through this thread for reference, but if there are any ares you feel need tweaked (nerfed or buffed) let me know so that I can look into it further.

Awesome to hear the game is still afoot, as it were. The new minigames sound awesome, and it'll be great for the revamp to have gotten to where you were before. I look forward to trying it out!
 
Y'see, Deus, this is why it doesn't matter how long your leaves are. You always come back with something incredible.

I only suggest that you consider lowering some of the bosses/special encounter's HP and/or defense. It becomes to tedious going through them so many different run through.
 
Oh mah gawd my heart just stopped! Lol Deus returns with great news and a surprising sneak peek at what we'll soon play. Yesssss I can't wait 😀 New environment traps to manipulate my heroes into, Spaz questline, new mini-games with scenes to thoroughly enjoy (goodness I hope I get a go at Tammy. I know she isn't one of the love interests, but her scene and the slug quest's dialogue just left me wanting to do more with her - love that villager and just a lil sad I can't have a go at those feet of hers myself lol).

Though, the one change I'm not looking forward to is the loss of my supply of juices through the bar. Some of the 'squishier' classes I feel rely heavily on those juices to survive at all and complete different parts of the game before they're buyable, particularly in DotD mode. Still, if the rewards are good replacements, I think I can live with it.

Oh yea, and will this update fix Paranoia? I REALLY want to beat her :|

I will just say that I make mine all the words of happines already expressed in the previous comments and ask: is it a problem if we stock up on juice before updating?
 
Stock up all you want, I figured people would the moment I said I was removing it. But, like I said, I'm balancing things right now, so that when I finally get started on Chapter 4, we will be mostly out of the "Wow, I was getting murdered until I got Skill X! Now I always shield, never die huehuehue" or "Man things were going great then Boss Y used Skill Z and suddenly I exploded!"

Keeping in mind, that I want to keep the game difficult, I'm willing to adjust things here or there if it seems unfair. So like I said, just remind me of what the complaints are (barring big deals like Paranoia, she's meant to be unfairly difficult) and I'll do what I can to balance things around.

Tammy may or may not show up as a tickle-able target...MAY or may not...MAY...

Yup. I love her, she's my favorite NPC and will continue to have a good deal of screen time until SPOILER.

Okay, that out of the way, I need a writer. Or writers. I'm not picky, I am just not going to pretend that I can get the amount of writing I need done, done by myself without becoming stagnant.

My biggest complaint is the lack of funds when it comes to the other classes other than thief. You can always swipe money and supplies, but as a mage I am always scrambling to get money. The bar game was the best way for me to get the supplies necessary without having to grind
 
Downloaded the linked file. Am trapped in a maze getting killed during text boxes at every turn. I am sure I have just missed something. Advice?
 
If it is the beginning of the game you are talking about, it's a matter of trial and error

It's not that Paranoia is unfairly hard, I get she is supposed to. The thing is I thought you said she was broken, so don't try her - which of course I didn't listen and have been driving myself crazy trying to get her. I'm going in as a lvl 12 Mage (plz say my lvl isn't too high) with the most up-to-date chestpiece, 2 in Tickle Wisp, 3 in Focus, 1 in most of the other spells, HP/Adrenaline all that basic stuff.
The problem is she absorbs every spell I use on her (recovering) except Dust Devil and Tickle Wisp. What's more is that when she gets a glow, I can NEVER break it - isn't it supposed to say something on break or at least change? every turn after still having the violet glow doesn't seem right - I've hit her or her faeries with Tickle Wisp when violet is up and it's never broken it. Once she starts gathering energy, it's just counting down the inevitable since I can't stop her. Even if she randomly switches to another, let's say yellow glow, even if it's only her with all her faeries currently dead or not summoned she'll just absorb a jolt flask and stay the course. Once the screen flashes and the nice little 'dingle' is heard, I just X out of the game because it's over now.
So please let me know if she is broken or if I'm just not doing it correctly (or maybe there's a recent update and I've just got an old version?)

Whew, long read up there, sorry - back to some more praise. The Tammy news MAY or may not be good lol. I like what you've done with Tammy and Silver. You actually turned them into NPC's that have interesting backstories and are worth caring about. Bunny can't currently hold a candle to them, even when I purposefully lose the bar game. They're just so much more... alive... So keep doing that 🙂 But do keep those spoilers out of here hahaha.

That's a great idea imo, with the vision you have in mind I think the workload is just way too much for one person, especially if you're busy with real world matters too. Looking forward to what comes of it. 🙂

Yeah she was broken. She's fixed already, and will be fixed when I release the next update. The only question I have is: How is anyone fighting her? She shouldn't be accessible before getting the Red Feather, which you shouldn't be able to get because you can't get "The Second" because I forgot to stick it on Mammona.
