Tower of Gargalesis (Tickling RPG M/F, F/F, F/M)

It's amazing how fast this guy pumped out the previous Beta versions anyway. He sure must've worked his ass off with college and real life stuff to handle too.

I'd rather wait a bit longer for the next versions, and ultimately the game than seeing deus lose motivation or inspiration. 🙂

On the topic of further combat/system changes I do agree with Bashiku, there's always more possibilities but after going back to Klepto's game to play the extended version yesterday I realized just how refined this system is allready. It's allready super fun to play, and I personally really don't need anymore changes.

And there's always the possibility for updates after the game has been released, or for a completely new game. 🙂

Now that we agree on that, let the poor man work. He is already using his brain cells to the max, he doesn't need more problems. Me neither as I have my own little project working on.

Maybe cause it's fun :3

You know it's funny how I choose whether to let them go after a fight. Out of pity I'll let one like Lady Venus go after all she's done, but then when it's friends (Aello, Honey Bee) I always go for the extra tickle. Odd? lol
Makes me wonder how I'll handle the Tower's Karma system.

Finishing up the Knismesis Pub game quest...it should be fun. It's a quiz game where you're asked five random questions from a pool of thirty. If you get 3 or more correct, the number you got correct is added to a score, which you can use to purchase Torture Scenes, bonus items, etc.

If you miss 3 questions, you'll receive a torture scene that is class specific. While that's all well and good, it also does 30 Stamina damage to your character. If your Stamina is too low, they won't let you play the game.

So...keep an eye out for that, that'll be the first tickle-related scene that is class dependent. After I finish this quest, I'll have to start mapping to finish the others.

You let Lady Venus, a Mamono who tickled others for sadistic pleasure get away and you are justice? I just torture them all... whats the point in releasing them? THEY ARE ALL MINE!

letting venus go gives you a full heal

oh just save the fairy from the tickle dust to get heals... or not.... she's already covered in tickle dust, a little more tickling from you couldn't hurt...

Excited about the news Deus, are you still looking for people to right in with torture scenes? I've got a couple of ideas and was wondering if you still needed them.

Dear God yes...as much as I'm trying to avoid outsourcing my material, you would not believe how hard it is to come up with over 200 different tickle scenes...

Over 200? Wow, I was happy enough with the 4 we had in the first chapter 🙂 Do you have enough for the next update (the scenes you specifically asked for earlier)?

The estimate of 200 is more an estimate of the whole game...although as of the end of chapter two there will be nearly 40 tickle scenes available. And that is without adding in bonus scenes and Pub Game prizes.

I've given the Knismeshroom a MUCH better Game Over, so I recommend losing to one when you play the next beta. I don't think I'll add new Game Overs for the boss forms of the Fairy, Goblin, Shroom, and Bunny. But, the Fairy victory scene is completed...I'm working on the other three now, and there will be a new friendly Mamono who you can tickle (and be tickled by in a Game Over obviously).

I'll be posting a beta as soon as I have the side-quests finished. Chapter 2 will require a bit more grinding, but it shouldn't be god awful. The next beta will not allow you to enter the tower yet. The first level of the tower is over 22 maps, so I'm going to put that into the 3.1ish beta.

Right now my dilemma is A) just getting myself to work on it and B) coming up with more items to add.

The inspiration/want to is there but...well you know how it goes 😛

Edit: I'm torn on the Giggle Goblin victory scene. On one hand, tickling her is a very torturous cruel experience that the sadist in us all will love. Then again, letting her go is an extremely heartwarming scene. Might wanna save and reroll on that one.

Well, you've got an army of beta testers ready and waiting to assist in hammering out the fine details. Just letting you know you're not alone in this.

What kind of items do you need?

Therein lies the problem: I have no idea.

I've added various quest related items (Slime Jelly, Milk, Medallions) but I'm still torn on just what else I could add that would be beneficial. Let me pose that question to you: the players.

What items do you feel would be beneficial? Weapons and Armor are pretty much set in stone right now (other than weapons/armor I'll add as quest rewards) but as far as basic, use to get by items, what do you think is needed? What would you like to see?

How about rope for combat use? Or perhaps bolas, since they're more combat oriented. Something to stop foes in place.

Building on it, perhaps accessory items that can be equiped and they will randomly activate to give an effect? Like getting back a bit of stamina, stunning the enemy, giving you first attack, a critical hit.

If you want to add more usable Items then Silentone's suggestion is worth looking into imo. Battle items like the classical "Grenade" in most normal RPG's wouldn't be bad.

Though I guess it would be a pretty limited selection, given the topic at hand. Then again I'm not creative, so eh.

You allready have: Useable items (Potions and so on), Weapons & Armor(Including Footwear), ALOT of Key items (for the quests) and the "Essence" -> money. Maybe elaborate on the Essence system, adding various types to trade/sell? Make different potions or healing items in general?

I personally don't see the need for alot more items, but I hope the suggestions are what you were looking for. 🙂

Laughing gas bomb that stops enemy for few turns, duct tape, rope, stopwatch for measuring time 😛

Maybe rubber ducky... a secret item that takes your stats, but when you finish some quest you get GOLDEN FEATHER OF ACARO or something like that 😛

Definitely some use-to-attack-item to help people cover classes they haven't chosen
Grappling hooks for stealing stuff
Magic scrolls (of teleportation)
Exit-Items
Wings (Evasion for 2-3 rounds)
An item for battle-escape
Equippement that can only be used after another "identification" item has been used on it
just random thoughts
