Tower of Gargalesis (Tickling RPG M/F, F/F, F/M)

Woah woah woah there! I had no clue you have more attacks planned at all, so just nevermind my earlier comment. 99 Skills is CRAZY. That ticklestorm skill sounds absolutely awesome, off to grinding a mage to level 30?! xP.

On the note of my Thief playthrough: I think I never died to a tickle fairy before, WHEN I WASN'T TRYING TO! :stickout My little thief definetly doesn't look strong so far, but I'm just getting to the interesting part. Level 3 and in front of the Dryad as I write this, I'll edit in a bit. 🙂

Erm...in case you misunderstood me that 99 was referring to all skills in the game period.

Each class has 5 skills they learn as they level up (every 6 levels).

Adventurer:
Agile Tickler- You're spry and full of energy! Your Agility increases for three turns!
Adrenaline: 7

Kitchy Koo- Put that smart mouth to good use! Tease those monsters!
Adrenaline: 14
Learned: Lvl. 12

Tickle Lasso- Your skills allow you to trip an enemy, and tangle her in a rope!
Adrenaline: 15
Learned: Lvl. 18

Bum Rush- Tackle a monster to the ground and tickle her til she's winded!
Adrenaline: 20
Learned: Lvl. 24

Mage:

Tickle Wisp- A wisp of tickling energy that attacks the targets body like a magic feather!
Adrenaline: 4
Learned: Lvl. 6

Giggle Shell- You surround yourself in a bubble that reduces your ticklishness for three turns!
Adrenaline: 10
Learned: Lvl. 12

Tickle Breeze- A gentle wind blows by, caressing all enemies like a hundred tickly fingers!
Adrenaline: 16
Learned: Lvl. 18

Second Wind- A magical rush of energy fills you up, restoring your Stamina!
Adrenaline: 48
Learned: Lvl. 24

Tickle Storm- The ultimate tickle magic! A single enemy is buffeted by a burst of pure tickling energy!
Adrenaline: 35
Learned: Lvl. 30

Soldier:

Grin and Bear- Grit your teeth and take it! You can't move, but your ticklishness is greatly reduced!
Adrenaline: 6
Learned: Lvl. 6

Turtle Up- Curl up to increase your Endurance! Be careful, this lowers your Proficiency!
Adrenaline: 12
Learned: Lvl. 12

Rough Hands- Viciously tickle your enemy! The exertion could leave her winded!
Adrenaline: 18
Learned: Lvl. 18

Bear Hug- You grab the monster and hold her close, tickling her belly while she's defenseless!
Adrenaline: 24
Learned: Lvl. 24

Deep Breath- Just take a deep breath and clear your thoughts, removing fatigue!
Adrenaline: 30
Learned: Lvl. 30

Slayer:

The Claw- Your training allows your fingers to become a deadly tickle weapon!
Adrenaline: 9
Learned: Lvl. 6

The Eagle Eye- By focusing your attention, you become more Proficient for three turns!
Adrenaline: 18
Learned: Lvl. 12

Feather Ribbon- Wrap the enemy in a ribbon, weakening them while you tickle!
Adrenaline: 27
Learned: Lvl. 18

Expert Tickle Assault- Your tickle is so great, no monster can Endure it!
Adrenaline: 30
Learned: Lvl. 24

Last Resort- There's no other option! Give up Endurance and Adrenaline to boost Proficiency and Agility!
Adrenaline: 96
Learned: Lvl. 30

Archer:

Snare- Snatch a monster in a snare, reducing her agility to allow more tickles!
Adrenaline: 4
Learned: Lvl. 6

Minor Distraction- Sing a song in your head to ignore tickles and restore Stamina!
Adrenaline: 9
Learned: Lvl. 12

Tingling Touch- Softly tickle the monster, reducing her Adrenaline and calming her down!
Adrenaline: 12
Learned: Lvl. 18

Limber Up- Shake those arms! Wiggle those fingers! Increase Agility by getting limber!

Natural Net- You create a natural net and throw it at the monster, leaving her helpless!
Adrenaline: 13
Learned: Lvl. 18

Tickle Talk- Tease your enemy, sensitizing her and lowering her endurance!
Adrenaline: 8
Learned: Lvl. 24

Nimble Fingers- Your fingers are so fast, you can attack the enemy with lightning tickles!
Adrenaline: 30
Learned: Lvl. 30

Mage learns 4 additional Tkl Magic spells (Fire, Ice, Lightning and then a fourth spell based on your Karma allignment).

Strange thing is, the thief has more defense than a Mage...the bad part is he/she has less health. If it's utterly impossible, I'll tweak things here and there, but as a note the thief is supposed to be "Extra Hard" mode.

The original set up was that you're rewarded with new armor every 3 levels and a new skill every 6 levels. I can add more skills if need be. I've tweaked Steal so that it is a bit stronger than your basic attack.

I didn't misunderstand, but thanks for clearing that up! that's still alot of skills if you ask me. 🙂 Great job on those!

Finished the Dryad at level 3 quite easily I must say, difficulty was about the same as with the mage. I'm tempted to say a bit easier, but maybe that's because I was better prepared this time. Brought about 20 Potions, used 5 or so. Her special attack was the only thing to watch out for.

One thing I noticed is that you run out of MP/AP whatever very quickly, and since stealing isn't beneficial to damage(After reading your edit: nevermind that) I found myself normally "tickle"'ing the dryad for the second half of her HP.

Right, I've dropped the Adrenaline cost from Steal. From my tests, at level 2, the regular Tickle does about 13, and the Steal tickle does around 17. I'd make it stronger, but free coins/juices makes up for it I think.

Well to sum up I've just finished both Lady Venus(Lvl3, about 10 potions) and Honey Bee(Lvl4 a whole LOT of potions).

I had much more trouble surviving with the Mage, thief was easier in that aspect, the only thing that made it "harder", or rather, the only thing that dragged the fights out was the lack of damage.

For example on Lady Venus she'd keep me tangled almost all the time, I'd "tickle" her normally and her HP would not go down at all! It was like...she regenerated about the same amount I could dish out. Nothing that potions and a bit of patience couldn't fix though.

If you use both energy and hp potions then the Thief is just fine, if you ask me.

Kick ass, thief is supposed to be a "Batman" esque role. You need to be "Crazy Prepared" to survive. And GOOD Honey Bee is supposed to be harder than Lady Venus <_<

For both her placement in the chapter...and story reasons...(Hey did I spoil yet that you can get Honey Bee as a party member?)

Oh Honey Bee definetly is the harder of the two, Venus just dragged on much longer thanks to her healing, even if it's allready very limited. :stickout You know, I'd love to fight the "not nerfed" version sometime. xD.

(Hey did I spoil yet that you can get Honey Bee as a party member?)

Great news! I actually really took a liking to her. 🙂

Just noticed people talking about Venus healing, she didn't heal herself at all when I was fighting her. Don't know if that's important.

If she planted her roots, yes she did. The game just doesn't tell you that she's healing 3% of her health every turn. If you go a few turns without attacking her, then look at her health bar using Shift, you'll see it has definitely gone back up.

I'm using a mage. Everything has been fine so far. Chuckle Oni is incredible. You did an amazing job on her. It's a very, very fun, strategic fight. I actually didn't have much trouble on Venus and Honey Bee as a level 3 mage. All I needed was a good supply of juice, which is easy since the only other thing you need money for is clothes and the pub maybe. Terrific job though. I'll try more classes later and see how it goes.

I should try using the classes nobody else uses, so you have people testing out each class. I don't hear a lot of talk about the Adventurer or Hunter, so maybe I should start using them.

Grrr, first Deus and now you, too! ...I really oughta go back and beat Honey bee at level 3 Mage too, just to prove to myself that I don't suck completely. Hmpf. :cry

Well if it's worth noting, I'm designing all the monsters based off the Adventurer (since his/her stats are perfectly balanced). Also I'm generally testing enemies on the Adventurer (though I personally use the mage to beta test...I may start using the Thief since that class has a significantly harder time).

Edit: Okay...when the tower finally opens...if you don't want to see over 9000 Game Overs, ROLL A SOLDIER. I cannot stress how difficult the chapter 2 boss is. If you are a thief or mage, GOOD, FARKING, LUCK. You are going to be having a hellacious time. If you struggled with Honey Bee or Lady Venus or even the Chuckle Oni, this boss is going to tickle the shit out of you and eat you alive. She. Is. Hard.

Edit 2: A couple people seem to be worried about finding the slimes. Don't worry...they're forced fights. You'll get the slimes when I want you to get them...as difficult as Soft Slime is, I wouldn't be too anxious to fight her. Chapter 2 takes the difficult up quite a notch, the enemies are a little more creative. The good news is, Soft Slime only has 90 health...right...only...

Final Most Important Edit:

Alright, ladies and gentlemen (mostly the latter I'm sure). I have reached an impasse. I am trying to finish up the bar scene, which, upon failure, results in class specific tickle torture scenes: (Adventurer has his/her hips tickled, Mage has his/her feet tickled, Soldier has his/her thighs tickled, Slayer has his/her ribs tickled, Archer has his/her armpits tickled, and Thief has his/her belly tickled).

This is taking much, much longer than it should, and I know the reason. I am, as previously stated, mostly a foot person myself. For that reason, I'm having trouble making sure the other five scenes are up to par with the mage scene (which, I am personally quite proud of).

I know I've asked for help on the writing front already, and while I haven't taken anyones ideas yet, I AM WILLING TO COMPLETELY accept a submission for one of the four PC classes I have not done. This means I am specifically looking for people who are more interested in thigh, rib, armpit, belly tickling.

If I can get this quest done, I will have the 3.1 up within an hour of those scenes being added. I am THIS close to being done, it's just this part that is holding me up. So if you are interested in submitting a scene for one of those four areas (Unless no one submits something, I will not be writing those scenes) PM me IMMEDIATELY. I will PM you the scene I wrote for the Mage, to give you an idea of what I'm looking for, and will put your scene in the game (with proper credit being given in the OP update and in the end game credits).

Please guys, this time it has me completely stopped dead in my tracks.

IMPORTANT PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT:

Do you like Pokemon? Maybe...maybe not. But do you like Final Fantasy? Maybe Final Fantasy X? More specifically, how about Yuna? Well, even if you don't like Yuna, I'm sure you like her Aeons right? Who can argue about Bahamut flying in to save the day? Sounds pretty kickass, if you ask me.

Now, given your presence here, I'm going to assume you like tickling, how would you like to have your own personal tickle monster? A cute little monster you can tickle all you want, you can feed, teach, love, and most importantly...train to fight for you!

Coming to the Tower of Gargalesis, you too can have your own Mamono to have and to hold and to pit against those increasingly frustrating tickle spirits...

What Mamono you ask? You, my friends, can (if you choose correctly) have your very own:

<Please View Attachment>

Giggle Goblin!

That's right, coming soon, you can earn the right to summon your own Giggle Goblin (complete with leveling and miniquests) to help you win in the Tower.

Stay tuned my friends, more information coming as it becomes available!

That sounds great, as long as you're not biting off more than you can chew.

What a strange Intro for the new Feature. xD Talking about Aeons and all that I was expecting powerful Summons and then...a Giggle goblin. Hillarious. XD Have you seen Bahamut in FF7 AC? God that fight is awesome.

I love the idea, I used to have one of those tamagochi's as a kid, but I never took care of it well. T.T

I promise I'll do better with the goblin! I'll feed it at least twice a wee...err, a day!

sweet!!! I know I shouldn't ask but umm will there be others in the full game?? *give big puppy eyes*

Odds are...that depends on my mood.

However, you can evolve your Giggle Goblin into a Chuckle Oni if you play your cards right. 😀

whats this? your giggle goblin is evolving? -evolution music- WOW it evolved into a chuckle oni XD

i could sooooooo see that XD

well i decided to try something other then the mage (i feel unclean as my feet arnt my worst spot XD lol) and i demolished the main story i mean the mage wasnt that hard (though the chuckle oni gave me a bit of trouble and im TIRED OF NOT KILLING THAT DARN BUNNY i wana see her tourture seen >.<) but this was just rediculous it was like lightsworn auto run ftw much? i didnt even need to use the fairy that heals <,< no seriously i let her fade away... which leads me to my first question

it told me i got a bonus scene or wrever, and i duknow what to do with it or how to view it?

in addition is it posible to see the tourture scenes of the first monsters again? you get medaliens or wrever for beating them so im assuming you can see them again through those or something but i could be mistaken... >.> im probably missing my other questions but hey if i think of them i wont hesitate to ask because im a jerk like that XD

also THAT FREAKING BUNNY IS PISSING ME OFF! i've been trying to beat her, and she's being a pain! she's the one i wanted to see the most and GO FIGURE she's the hardest >.< well im bout to put on my music so i can grind easily. it will take me a while but im bout to go into the forest and pwn the heck out of some manamana

DO DO DO DO DO...

I think I just went through everything in the new beta. You're doing a phenomenal job. The new knismeshroom scene is awesome. I like the hint of karma you started pulling in with the new content; do I detect an actual moral imperative skulking in the shadows in your storyline? I played the tickle fairy boss to see both consequences and I think that may be my favorite thing you've done; it's such a simple concept, but it shows that everything you do matters, even if just a little.

I like the little technical change to the way the specific tickling spots are now presented. It's much cleaner and I expect the old look would have detracted from the later class abilities that would show up in the technique menu. I didn't find the bosses to be particularly challenging as an adventurer (although I am a gamer to begin with), but the extra abilities you put in for them make the fights much more entertaining. It was a good deal of luck that I chose to heal myself just before I took one of the new attacks from (I think...) the dryad. It would have been lights out, if I hadn't healed, then. It seems like you added some hit points to the bosses, which makes those battles feel more important... more epic.

The pet system sounds interesting. At first, I wanted to warn you to focus on your core game system and plot. After thinking for a few minutes, I've changed my mind. Everything you've touched for this game has turned to gold, so I expect anything that inspires you will come out just as well. It's gonna be hard waiting for that next update.

Really? The Bunny is giving you that much grief? Huh...I didn't think she was too hard, admittedly the hardest of those four. I hesitate to ask...you are going for the um...obvious weak spot right? And have lots of juices? I'll see if she's OP'd, it's possible. The bunnies are supposed to be relatively tough, but have (non-boss versions that is) a chance of running the second you hurt them.

The medallions have a different use, but yes you will be able to see the victory scenes again later. As for bonus scenes, you view those by going to Honey Bee. But, as she'll tell you, that's not ready yet. Don't worry, it will be soon.

A noob question but how do u start the 4 or 5 new quests?

EDIT: Nvm I found something

Hi. I love the game a lot. But i have a little problem. I'm trying to complete the fairy and sailor quest but i can not for the life of me find the fairy forest. please help.

The new additions look awesome but I can't be bothered with having to start games anew other and other so I'm gonna wait for this game to be finish since every new patch seems to demand a restart

Go to the world map. Take a look at the Tickle Woods. You'll probably notice that it looks like there's a spot that is a second entrance. There you go.

Edit: @Wizard- With the new system I've implemented for setting up quests and having the overall system overhaul finished...I don't think another restart will be necessary. I really think this should be the last beta that requires a reroll. If not, then I'll apologize profusely and probably shed a single emo tear.
