Tower of Gargalesis (Tickling RPG M/F, F/F, F/M)

I wasn't sure if you could see the picture files or not. If not, then even better. The picture you can find in the mansion is enough to solve the puzzle. If you're really stuck, PM me or someone else who figured it out.

If the laugh is fast and high-pitched, you got it wrong. If it's really really low and slow, you got it right. You have to flip three switches, in the proper order, to open the stairwell. Every time you hear the first laugh, it resets.

Take a good look at the hint picture and note that the shapes have been drawn on top of a map of the house itself. And the corners of every shape point to one of the switches. You have to discern which shape is the right one.

Edit- Wow I didn't notice that you weren't seeing the special scene with Tammy following "A Sticky Situation" I've fixed this error. It's actually a subtle, but important, plot point. Be sure to talk to her again in the next update.

stupid house

i am completely and utterly lost on the house......btw if that little ghost thing laughs, does that mean u did it wrong?

hint

on the off chance that you do not know much about the powerpuff girls(like me) their colors are pink green and blue.....so there u go

Thank the Deus for that one

FINALLY! I figured it out! Geez, I completely forgot about the original clue.

Anyway, finally got through it. But I find it funny that even after you rescued the mother and she knows your name, she calls you "Outsider" regardless. 😛

EDIT: BTW, no matter how many times I hear it, FFVI's Kefka's laugh is still freaky.

EDIT 2: I don't know about everyone else, but the first time in the mansion, the sound levels were pretty different. I could barely hear the Super Mario World: Ghost House BGM, yet the sound effects were normal. When I completed the quest though and left the basement, the music was at normal setting.

<_< That was a mistake on my part. That will be fixed in the next update. The sound levels are different because Cay told me that the song was too quiet. It was obnoxiously loud for my computer, so I had it turned down while I was working. In the last update, it was cranked up.

@Nora-Rose: Yes

When checking your Giggle Goblin's stats, will there be a way to check exactly how much Tickle Essence you need to level her up (like your Profile screen has a numerical value)?

I could try to add that. The Giggle Goblin's level curve is exactly the same as yours, so if you know roughly how much EXP you needed, that's how much Tickle Essence she needs.

The scale roughly goes

2-3: Level * 300

4-6: Level * 400

7-9: Level * 500

10-12: Level * 600

13-15: Level * 700

16-18: Level * 800

19-21: Level * 900

22-24: Level * 1000

25-27: Level * 1100

28-30: Level * 1200

@Michael2002: Thanks, I have those issues fixed (as far as I know) now. The extra Knisme Ant is actually the one you fight in groups of 3 during March of the Ants. I had to create a new one for that quest to avoid completely invalidating the regular ones.

The way the codex works is by transforming the Alpha Female into the regular form, scanning the regular form, then changing her back to the Alpha Form and Incapacitating that form so that you get the Alpha's experience. I've been hiding the articles that are "dead" articles. I just forgot to hide the article for the Knisme Ants that are used in the triplets. I added that number to the hide list, so it's all fixed.

The thin box I haven't figured out yet...

BTW, in the Mamono Codex:

-Kusugu Slug's article: the words "incredibly" and "physiology" are cropped off.

-Knismeshroom's article: "extremely vulnerable" shows up "extreme nerable"

-There are now two entries for Knisme Ant.

EDIT: Also, all the Mamonos have a very thin box around them except Lady Venus, Blue Slime and Youkootchi Fox.

Maybe the Knisme Ants from the March of the Ants subquest could have a different name like "Elite Knisme Ants" or something to stop any confusion. Besides, I thought that each Mamono had an "Alpha Female" that would represent the Mamono in general, overwriting and replacing the original entry to include the Mamono Article?

EDIT 2: The thin box is probably from not fully rendering the character. If you're using Photoshop, converting the background color into a transparency doesn't always do a good job. You probably just need to take the Eraser tool and manually erase the border around the character after rendering the background color, leaving the sprite fully rendered. 🙂

Oh i just wanted to ask. when will the ticklazon's profile be available? unless we'll be facing her again later on.

You will face her a lot. That first fight wasn't even a warm up. She's a rather big boss later on, after the final fight you'll have her profile unlocked.

The next quest is fairly short...so I'm almost done. I'll probably have it up before I go to bed tonight. Just gotta write the victory scene for the boss. For better or worse, this quest doesn't have any experimentation like the last one, it's just straight forward.

One last problem I just found with A Sticky Situation. You get neither the Reputation nor the experience from completing the quest. That has been fixed.

Ah ok. I'm looking forward to it. Hopefully she isn't too hard. I assume this a side quest for the flea. Don;t work yourself too hard. Don't want you getting sick again.

Erm...well I'm not sure anyone is still awake or around but...here's a new update, with a new quest. It's relatively straight forward, but has some important plot scenes here and there. It's more of a foreshadowing to the next quest than anything else.

Edit- Mistake on my part, both have been fixed and update coming.

Might i ask where the quest begins? lol

Also the mother you rescued doesn't use your name, instead n[1] is there

Deus, I think you forgot to add in the fairy that needs the fruit in the forest.

I only see a star in the area, but no fairy under it.

You finished Chapter 1 before helping her, so she vanished (storywise, she faded away due to the Knismeshroom Spores). I forgot to take that out, sorry. It'll be in the next update (which won't be for a while unless there are lots of bugs in this one)

Now if you find any errors, let me know ASAP. I'm going out to get a drink and will probably be going to bed around 2:30 am EST.

Is the rep from the sticky situation automatically applied between the versions? Cause i can't find the little star to guide me to your next quest. Might it have something to do with it?

EDIT: i see a bunch of paper in town, unable to do anything with it tho.
Also in Silver's house, his first draft of the codex, the word codex is cut off.

Well i have to admit I am also stumped. I spoke to Tammi. But i have looked everywhere i can think and spoken to everyone i can and i have no idea where to go.

When you're in Silver's house, when you check the early copy of the Codex by the bed, it cuts off the "Codex" so it looks like "This must be an early copy of the Mamono Coc".

The little girl that usually runs outside the Pub no longer does. At least before you defeat Mammona.

And I see the pile of papers in front of the statues, but they don't seem to do anything.

I realized the problem right away, I had to set their priority differently. In the meantime, does it work if you stand on top of the papers and press Z or Enter?

I'll check and see what the issue is with Megan, and I fixed the problem with the codex. That dialogue was written before I got the script that let me insert a face with a text command, so it was originally in quotes without a face picture, which displayed properly.

Fair enough.

Does this one work?

Hm...it seems to be something in the upload process. I unzipped the file and ran it and it worked. Let me try downloading it and see if that's the issue.

That's odd, it seems to work just fine for me...could you send me your save file? Is the "Failed to Load Archive" happening when you run the game or extract it from the EXE file?
