Having a really hard time beating the featherbug queen as a lvl 7 mage...when she summons that first add its game over. Her by herself i could beat but just 2 on 1 is too much. Its unavoidable to start at 70ish hp when the add is summoned since the queen goes first, and with both of them they do more dmg to me then an orange juice can heal x_x.
Do you have the Giggle Goblin? You can win the fight...it is just much, much harder without the Goblin and will probably require you to grind to level 8 at least (for the new armor). Also make sure you've got the Old Hairbrush, and you're using Tickle instead of magic. Feather Bugs have a high resilience to magic.
...Welp, part of the problem could be I didn't define the Feather Bug Queen's ticklishness. So she has no weak spot...let me fix that. So in the fix, focus on the belly, rather than using magic. Although, technically she is weak to Fire and Ice as well. Oh yes, adding her weaknesses will make it a world easier. Tickle Belly does around 120 damage with a level 7 Mage using the Old Hairbrush. Meaning it should KO a Soldier in 1 or 2 hits.
Just try to play defensively, remember you're a weaker class. If you have Hathor's Milk, that will be very, very helpful in this fight. Group fights are some of the hardest in this game.
Hahaha I can't wait for the post-game secret boss fight. Since I'm in a jolly good mood, I'll go ahead and tell you what the "Kaizer Dragon/Ruby/Emerald/Omega Weapon/Ozma/Pennance/Addicus" of The Tower of Gargalesis is. The hardest fight in the game will be available upon completing Chapter 10. That fight will be...
Vs The Spirit of Knismesis AND the Spirit of Gargalesis
Alright here we go.
This fixes the Feather Bug Queen, and nerfs the Soldiers a trifle. They'll still be worrisome, but they shouldn't hit quite as hard (maybe 5-10 damage difference)
Edit
Back from class, so I'll have more time to address issues. I've further tweaked the Feather Bug Queen and Feather Bug Soldiers. Assuming you have the Old Hairbrush, the soldiers will go down with 1 Belly Tickle. The only thing is, you have to both play it safe AND there is some luck involved, as you have to hope the Queen doesn't use "Tickle *Weakspot*" when you go to tickle the Soldier. You're now faster than the Soldiers, so your attack will go before theirs. I'll be uploading this soon.
It's still difficult for a Mage/Thief, especially without the Goblin, but it won't be quite as cruel.
I have a query for the people following this thread, two actually:
1) Would you rather your Giggle Goblin be forced to morph into a Chuckle Oni to progress beyond level 15, or would you rather that be a personal choice? Either way your Goblin will cap at level 15 until chapter 6 (where the game goes beyond level 15). I'm only asking because I personally prefer the look of the Giggle Goblin (especially in conjunction with a potential scene in Chapter 10) but I was wondering if anyone would prefer the Chuckle Oni, or whatever.
2) How would you feel about an alternative summon? What I have in mind is, through a lengthy quest in Chapter 4, giving the player an option to replace his/her Giggle Goblin with an alternate Mamono. She will be faster, have less health, start at a higher level, have higher Technique, and will have a whole new list of commands.
>Possible Mamono Servant (Replacing Giggle Goblin) in attachment<
She's smarter and overall easier to use than the Goblin, but her story is a bit darker and accepting her offer locks out the Giggle Goblin bonus quests (though she'll have some of her own). She's more of an option for the "Heartless Tickle Monsters" out there, where the Giggle Goblin was more for the heroic types.
@tickleslave- You're overthinking it all the riddle tells you is the order to pull the switches:
(Highlight to display answer)
V for Victory refers to the hand gesture, which is 2 fingers. There are 3 Powerpuff Girls and a gold medal is 1st place. So you need to pull Switch 2, then Switch 3, then Switch 1. The map gives you a hint as to which these are. First isolate the shape that only points to 3 switches. Those are the three correct switches (the trapezoid points to all the wrong switches, and the star points to every switch EXCEPT the correct ones). Next, you need to know the order the Powerpuff Girls are introduced "Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup" which is Pink, Blue, Green. (1, 2 ,3) so those colors point to the corresponding switch. Just pull them in the order 2, 3, 1.
@FAMILydude- The first few chapters are focused on building up the world of Gargalesis and the plot, the character's background will start to come to the forefront in later chapters (I'm thinking a side quest or two in Chapter 4 or so).
I won't list which decision is the right one to make, that's up to you to decide. But the NPCs give you some hints here and there. Some monsters are irredeemable and shouldn't be shown any mercy. If you really need a hint
every single major tower boss (Beelzebebe, Mammona, and so on).
Yes you get a house eventually, and if you play your cards right your lover moves in with you. Free sex/tickle/healing/storage.
The Captain is the de facto leader of the village. That said, he's a pawn, but doesn't know it. Just wait for the last quest in Chapter 3, it will shed a lot more light on the setting.
I am very familiar with Fallout 3
😛 I just wanted the choices to be less obvious. Also at this point, I'm too lazy to go back and change them. Just follow my hint for the most part and you won't go wrong. Or save before a fight and judge your character's reaction. If your character isn't sure he/she made the right choice, odds are you got negative karma.
Your Goblin/Oni has her own set of special equipment. I know everyone keeps complaining about the excess gear but IT WILL HAVE A USE LATER. Just bear with me here. You'll be glad you kept it later on (think Majora's Mask where you trade away all of your masks for the Fierce Deity Mask).
@shadowscurse- None right now, but remember this is just chapter 3. More will arise very, very soon and they become more and more prominent (like gender specific scenes) as the story unfolds. Eventually, (chapter 7 or 8 on) all scenes will be pretty well gender specific and class specific. Just as quests are becoming more specific as your character learns about the world, the torture scenes become more specific as the world learns about the Player Character.
To anyone still struggling with the Mansion puzzle, there are 2 switches that "tell you the truth" as it were. All of the others are lying to
you.
I'm giddy with excitement as I start plotting this. The next quest is huge. It has 15 parts which, if I remember correctly, is equal to how many parts "The Tower of Gargalesis" quest has by the time you defeat Mammona. Meaning, this quest is huge.
Update
BETA V4.311-

This has a fix for the Feather Bug Queen...should be doable now. Read: Doable, not easy.
Edit
Alright, the final quest for Chapter 3 "Lover of the Snow Maiden" can be started. I still have a long, long, long way to go on finishing this quest, but listening to Singing Mountain on repeat to get in the right frame of mind is making me tired
😛.
I'd like to apologize in advance. This is primarily a story quest, it doesn't have a ton of tickling material relative to the size of the quest itself. There are maybe 3 or 4 tickling scenes (including the boss's Game Over and Victory Scenes), over the entirety of the 15 part quest. It's also a mostly hidden quest. If you complete it, you'll get a butt load of experience, plot, and a bonus weapon (for reference, the weapon you get is level 10, in a chapter that theoretically goes to level 9). It will also open up a ton of venues later. If you want to access a rather huge quest series (this is the second in a chain of about eight quests that continue up to Chapter 8), you'll need to explore the frigid Northern Highlands for clues to unlock this quest.
If you complete the "Snow Maiden" quest chain, it will end with you getting access to the second strongest weapon in the game, and open up the path to get the strongest weapon in the game.
*Note- this is just an update on where I am in development. The Lover of the Snow Maiden quest hasn't been made public yet. And yes, there will be both a Karma counter and a reputation counter added in (trying to decide how to do the latter without breaking the fourth wall too bad).
The sign actually lies the first time. There are 8 switches, 1 of which has 4 pull options.
Look at the map (the hint picture) that 8th switch doesn't exist. It's the house screwing with you.
