Tower of Gargalesis (Tickling RPG M/F, F/F, F/M)

Can't find the Grudge, could someone please give me a hint?

ok i'll help you start the quest after this your on your own first make sure you have the red feather equiped then go to the fairy forest(the one where you faced the tickle fairy princess) talk to the fairy in there if it doesn't work try exiting the forest re-enter and try again (if it still doesn't work try unequiping the red feather and re-equiping it then try the last method)

I know that vocabulary. Sir, you're a Troper? <3

I have wasted so much time on TVTropes, the terms make explaining things so much easier.

@Abadon (Below): Yes, the Jolt Flask which can be purchased from the Mysterious Figure in the Tower 1st floor. He/She also sells Fire and Frost Flasks for non-mages. Tingling Jolt will not be available until probably later in Chapter 4. The reason being, it's more versatile than the other two for reasons I won't explain here.

I think I know what to do combat wise against the boss, but what I do want to know is there an electric spell current in this update?

Current theory: (for mages)
Depending on the color, you need to use that particular spell to smash the shell (orange for fire for instance). However, I was wondering if there was an electric spell out there that isn't from the potion

Deus -I hate to do this to you but, now megan talks just fine until the snow maiden quest. everyone else is telling me about silver except her.

Mamonna got her mojo back but when she makes me forget my abilities, i can keep
attacking anyway and NOT just when it says that there was no effect.
(perhaps i shouldn't have told😉

I was informed of the issue with Megan and a fix is being uploaded as we speak.

Can you explain the second half more clearly? Edit: Okay, I see, I have the text saying that Mind Dazzle was inflicted no matter what, I'll fix that so Knismis Gas will 100% inflict Mind Dazzle.

Sorry, I've been playing through the game to ensure everything pre4.6 is still working, but I've only had time to step foot in the tower (haven't done any of Chapter 2 yet), so thanks for those faster than me who can test those things.

Is there an electric spell yet deus?

Sorry I edited it just now.

I think I am going to have to wait until chapter 4 is ready because I think I know how a mage can defeat the pixie but in order for that I'll need that tingling jolt spell. Otherwise I would need to shell out for a ton of thunder potions

You don't need to wait. I beat her as a Slayer I beat her with only one of each Flash, plus one more Jolt Flask. It's not impossible if you don't have the resources. Theoretically I expect you can do it with no flasks as a non-mage, or even without using any of the element spells as a mage. It just makes it that much harder so you have to work for it.

If you wait it's simply your decision to do so =p

i tried it again a few more times to get the text
-mamonna leers at you, her eyes glowing.
Your mind gets fuzzy, and you cant think straight! and
-mamonna sprays a purple cloud at you
you cough and snicker suddenly forgetting your abilities
it happens on both but it doesn't happen every time.
i don't know if it's forgetting to say that there was no effect
or if it's a battle issue. no hurry (minor stuff) -edit sorry, already been fixed

Fixes Megan's Silver dialogue, fixes Mammona's mind dazzle skill, and as of a fix ago, the superboss has been tweaked to make "Running her out of adrenaline" impossible. Enjoy.

Commanding Leer doesn't always work. I didn't want to make it so that she could berserk lock you. So Knismsis Gas was the only one borked, so I fixed it.

Abadon- A Jolt Flask isn't necessary to defeat the boss. It will help, but it isn't necessary. (I can't promise this will be true for the next superbosses, I plan to get meaner with each one. 9 isn't even available until you beat the game, that's how hard it is.)

A part of me really wants to play this. But since my comp crashed and i lost everything. I think about those maddeningly difficult parts i barely got through last time. The pull my hair out frustration at the tedious moments of facing enemies every few steps. Much as i'd love to play this and see the next parts. I'm just as tempted to delete it and step away. I might just come right back and try to play it through again. It'as a fantastic game but some of those moments. Casual gamers get eaten alive.

Oh come now, it can't be that bad. Unfortunately I could never gauge this type of thing, being a skilled and savvy gamer 🙁

As for the random encounters, you can run from everything that's not a mandatory battle. It's somewhat suggested (IMO) that you do this anyhow to not level up past a multiple of 3 per chapter, since both doing EVERY battle gets tiring and because running can save resources and time, and keep you from grinding in a game where you don't get anything (like an advantage over enemies of the area; here they all level up with you though, cancelling that) for leveling up a lot.

Plus, since you apparently have gone through a chunk of it already in a previous save, lost or not, you can probably recall some things and it won't be as hard *Shrug* And then there's this giant thread 😛

Another lurker out of hiding thanks to this amazing game... great job on it!

Downloaded it few months ago, enjoyed it but had to stop as I didnt have the time. But now, I have come back to it and yesterday beat chapter 2, only to find I had to download a newer version to continue. However, after reading that a karma system existed, and that I have permanently lost the giggle goblin pet before I even knew it existed (sob), I decided to start over from scratch, this time taking care to not neglect my karma, and to check this thread when I am not sure about something.

Further reason I wanted to start over is the fact your first post mentions the "true end" can only be reached depending on your decisions in game, which I am assuming I will need very high karma for. I am really keen on not having to start over in disappointment later, so I would like to know a few things if possible...

I now notice I get a "heart crystal" after beating honey bee. I did not get this with the old chapter 2 version I used to have installed. Does the color is shows give me a general idea of what my karma is at? If so, could I have a rough color shading guide? Because, I notice if I let honey bee go, and use the crystal, i get "light baby blue". If I tickle her instead, then use the crystal, I get a "light sky blue"... and I dont know which shade of blue means higher karma!

Since sky blue is "heavier" than baby blue, I am going to assume tickling her gives the higher karma payout... especially since she seems to enjoy it... but I really would like to know about that crystal, because the "shades" are confusing me, and I am not sure which shade is better!

So yea... I would just like some tips from the developer about this new crystal if its not too much to ask, and once again awesome game, look forward to seeing the finished product!

Have to say, I'm a bit disappointed how many people are completing this so easily 😛 probably thanks to the testers ensuring that the fight isn't broken, still I was hoping for a bit more frustration haha. Thankfully, The Grudge is only the first of 9 Superboss Quests. She's also comparatively the easiest of the 9 superbosses.

Don't be dissapointed. Trust me, I was frustrated as hell how she kept healing her-self for about 100, putting up that damn ice shield right before I'd attack, and attacking me while doing one of the other two all in the same turn. Not to mention how 90% of her spells inflict some sort of status ailment. Believe me, I wasn't joking about the Ultima Weapon comment.

I try to take the Mamono graphic into consideration when writing the scenes. There will definitely be some in the next chapter.

Of course, it only makes sense that you wouldn't include her button in the belly tickling scene since her's is covered up. The only thing I'm not looking forward to now is fighting her again so I can keep my karma up by NOT tickling her at the end of the fight. *Sigh* A gamer's life can be difficult sometimes.

Once again, I'm really looking forward to chapter 4. This is definitely one of the best games I've ever played!

Hi Deus, How about honey bee?
(is still waiting for my questions in the previous post about the heart crystal to be answered...)

Tickling Honey Bee gives Positive Karma, not tickling her doesn't affect your karma.

Tickling Aello gives positive Karma, not tickling her doesn't affect your karma.

Tickling Hathor gives +3 Positive Karma, not tickling her gives +3 Negative Karma.

The more specific the color (pink vs vermillion), the heavier the color (baby blue vs sky blue) and the more descriptive the read out (strong, rich royal blue vs glows soft baby blue), the higher you are into that karma rating. When the crystal is "trembling, pulsing" with a color, you're basically at the paradigm.

Blue is positive, Red is negative.

Chapter 10 is unlocked by a decision in Chapter 8 plus defeating all 7 superbosses (Chapters 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, and 9), and completing all of the side quests. Now, keep in mind there are two Chapter 9's, based on your decision in Chapter 8.

Chapter 10 includes the true ending, the final boss, and the 8th superboss. Completing Chapter 10 (which is going to make up a good 25% of the games content) and defeating the 8th superboss (you must defeat the superboss) unlocks the "Epilogue", which unlocks a couple story-related events, the bonus dungeon, and Superboss 9, The Spirit of Gargalesis AND the Spirit of Knismesis (a fight against both at full power).

The Final Boss in Chapter 10 is not the hardest story-mandated boss fight.

Defeating Superboss 9 will have some kind of super-awesome reward and unlock a ton of content in the bonus dungeon.

For anyone interested, I've finished the "Random" Mamono for Chapter 4 and just need to write their game over scenes. I'm going to go with simpler scenes this time around so I don't burn myself out like I did before. I'm in the process of reworking a few things in lieu of Tanuki becoming available in Chapter 4 (for the darker minded among you), as well as improving your interactions with the Giggle Goblin (you will be able to teach her to speak, as well as play a couple games) and adding in the first part of her mini-story.

Another question ^^

At the haunted house there was a cat mamano, would she be appearing later on depending on the situation? *had used the water method to free her*
