Holy HELL!!! I finally was excited to "catch up" to the "end" of this game, only to find that paranoia is IMPOSSIBLE for me to beat! 😛issed 😛issed 😛issed I HATE HER SO MUCH!

...And Deus has said shes only the FIRST of the superbosses... which really makes my heart sink... because I know if I cannot beat this "weakling" boss, theres NO WAY I can beat everything in the game... and I dont like playing games I cannot complete 100% (I am a completionist)... so I guess this is as far as I go into the game.

I think this game is too hard for me... even WITH exploiting that "stats bug" I mentioned earlier, paranoia is still WAY too hard... and I am at level 12!!! I know you want to make this game hard, but geez... I feel like giving up now because its TOO hard for me, and I know that grinding cannot save me. If grinding could actually HELP, I would feel better, but the way things are now, I feel there is absolutely no salvation from this cruelty, and I better permanently quit the game before I break my comp or something.

And the #1 reason I am really frustrated at the way you made paranoia, is because EVERY attack of hers causes a stupid status ailment AND does good damage, and when those 3 slaves come out, they just SPAM SPAM SPAM healing and support abilities making the ALREADY impossibly hard boss that much more impossible to beat! ARGH!

Dont get me wrong though, it is a VERY nice game, but I just think this game is MUCH too hard for me to ever hope of having a CHANCE to beat (unless its toned down a bit when the finished product comes out)... Mabye if paranoia were the very last boss I wouldnt feel so discouraged, but knowing at least EIGHT more TOUGHER THAN HER await... and I cant even beat HER... well, I have lost all hope at getting any further joy in this game :/

Is there absolutely no chance that the bosses can have level caps (even if theyre high)? Because the way paranoia currently is, its an extremely tedious battle... 4900hp (level 12) is WAAAAAAAAY too much HP for a boss that isnt even 1 of the top 5 in the game! I shudder to think how much she would have at level 30 -_- And that was bad enough, but when i saw how much status she could inflict i almost immidiately gave up. but i tried anyways, only to be extremely frustrated!

Good game though, and I fully appreciate all the effort you have put into it, I am not insulting it or anything, I just think the paranoia fight is beyond sadistic... its not meant for people who get frustrated easily at games like me... sorry 🙁 (I think you are a great game maker, just a bit too "evil" with the difficulty curve, is all).




PS- I thought honey bee (2nd fight) was hard enough... I had to try 5 times just to beat HER... mammona was extremely easy though... I think paranoia should not be 100 leagues tougher than mammona was... but hey, its your game. I dont think too many people are going to see it to the end with this kind of difficulty and tediousness though.

Anyways, congrats on the marriage Deus... and I would come back if paranoia is nerfed, but it seems you wont do that, since you were sad earlier at how many people were "not finding her hard enough"... so I hope my anger at her has made you feel better at the very least.

Well without knowing your class, i'll assume what should be one of the worst case scenarios being you're a slayer.

The way to beat her is to have a ton of the fruits of k to counter the status ailments and at very least 1 of each elemental flask to crack her shields.

That being said, i'm sure when the finished product comes out, there will be an "easy" mode out there that will introduce a % reduction in all the boss stats.

i've also been having problems with her lately since her adrenaline issue was fixed.
for me it's not her so much as her 3 friends. it takes me 2 hits for each fairy
as thief or mage (i just can't keep up). -level 10 -perhaps my levels to low?
the flasks and magic work fine though now that i finally understand it.
as for slayer, the fairy's only take 1 hit each so she's doable as long as she doesn't put up
the violet shell to early in the fight. if she does, i just close and restart.
the slayer is the only one that i can beat her with since she's been buffed.
-edit perhaps i'm missing something with the fairy's ?

Here's a tip: when she summons the 3 fairies, beat "Fairy C" first so it doesn't have a chace to buff Paranoia, then "Fairy A" to stop the healing, and "Fairy B" last because it only attacks and it's damage pales in comparison to a buffed up Paranoia.

Also, make sure you are using the "Red Feather" for max damage and you are wearing the best armor available. Plus, going into the fight with a ton of apple juices will help as well.

Other than all this, it depends somewhat on luck, but for the most part you have to just try to keep your health up while attacking when your health is high enough to survive a turn. Remeber, when she goes into overdrive, she will take two actions in one turn. That means she'll heal, defend, and/or attack in some combination. Although, I don't think she'll heal more than once in a turn. I never saw her do it.

I beat her in 2 tries using a level 12 Thief and her energy didn't go down the whole fight, so she never stopped using skills.

EDIT: I forgot to mention that, up to this fight, I did everything to get the best positive karma. So I had a bunch of full heal items.

I have found out about this game a few weeks ago and I love it:wub. I would say it's the BEST OF ALL THINGs I ever found on the net. :lol THAN YOU SO MUCH deus.

But I must say if Paranoia is meant to be the WEAKEST Superboss :scared :scared then I will never be able to see the correct ending of this game.

I just beat Paranoia after at least 30 loses 😛issed, and this LAST fight lasted for 40min and I have lost the most of my resources (I don't think I can beat her again without enourmes luck).

I really want to see the end of this game someday so I would like to REALLY BEG 😢cry not to go over the top with the difficulty. This battle was no fun at all it was HARD work :46: (if I had not the tendency to latch on thinks I cannot solve I would have given up long ago). Otherwise the fun will go downhill and stay will only work. This is just my opinion on the basis of my experience and I hope nobody sees this than anything other then this. (It was not meant to be an offend of any sort!!!)

yeah the scientfic term for the venus nectar is " a cursed item 😛 " dont feel bad man, i got boned the same way in that fight where i was really hurt and tried to heal using it then dropped to -80 life ...yeah i mean i did beat her...after like 30 more tries and awesome lucky crit when we both had next to no life left 🙂

You were probably affected by the status alignment where your character "Really wants to be tickled" This seems to work like the zombie status in other RPGs. You use a healing item and you take damage instead.

The Mimic isn't meant to be fought yet. She's level 20 minimum, has 18,500 Stamina, and is a puzzle boss intended for around Chapter 5. So yes, at this point she's meant to be impossible since you aren't supposed to fight her yet.

Don't worry too much about Gargalesis. She's also the only boss in the game you don't fight alone, by the very nature that she's obscenely overwhelming. Unfortunately, she's a story mandated boss fight :scared

You only get one-shot at Gargalesis. It's not like Mammona where you can run, there's not a hope in hell of escape once the Spirit of Gargalesis decides she wants to dominate you.

I loved the music in that cave, involving winter maiden, and I wanted to know if you are going to use more classic songs like that one through the game. Your music selection has been pretty good damn good for the most part.

Well, I usually don't post much (it's mostly because of an idiomatic barrier, I'm not from the US), but I can say, without a shadow of a doubt, that THIS GAME is the single most amazing thing that I've ever encountered in my freaking life. The gameplay it's not only good, it's actually fun and addictive (you know, in a good way), and to take my hands on a rpg again reminded me of my old days as a Pokemon Yellow player.
At least to me, the backbone of the whole thing is the story. Personally, I love stories that revolve in a world where tickling is an integral part of it, it just works better and doesn't make it feel that you're forcing it into the story. Speaking of which, what better way to do that that having a world inhabited by creatures like the Mamono? I don't want to give anything away to those that still are in early stages of the game, but what we get to learn from Silver Dragmire later in the game makes it still more interesting. It has some kind of a LOST like feeling to it if you think about it (only that the ending of this game will most likely not crush me emotionally), you're character wakes up in an unknown land trying to figure out why he/she is there and about his/her destiny... you get the idea.
The game over scenes and the puzzle battles are great (like the one with Lady Venus, I played it all the times necessary to get all the possible combinations of it), but what really struck me as awesome was the character design. Did you make them all by yourself? If it is so sir, you're also one gifted artist.

With that being said, I had a couple of little questions about the game itself. I have a little problem concerning money. My essence jar is full, but I've already traded 10.000 essence with Mimic. Is or there will be another way of exchanging essence for coins? And also, with the character that I've advanced the most in the game (a mage, which really came in handy against Paranoia), I lost the Giggle Goblin from the side quest. Will some major or really important part of my future game be blocked by that? Should I start over?

Anyway, I think's that pretty much it. Oh, and many congrats on the wedding, Deus!
