[VX Ace] The Laughing Isles

The Ranger will be getting more goodies in chapter 2. Glad to hear you like the class. Still haven't heard of any Clerics, but that's ok. All but one being liked aint bad.

Well, I think the lack of a team member is probably a reason for people not playing a Cleric. Without someone else to heal and buff, doesn't seem as best of a choice. And, you know, we all want to be super heroes. Just for mentioning it, I will make my EVIL character a Cleric. Or, I suppose in the case of it being evil, it'd be more like a Black Guard.

Also, I want to say...The zombie scene bothers me. Not the necrobitch, the other one. Not because it's written poorly, or played our poorly, or anything at all in that regard. It's quite well done, in fact. However...the implication of finding something to get another scene...my god, that says FAR too much of how future events can/will be. I'm going to be like Golum any time I get a new quests.

"WHERE IS IT?! IT'S HERE SOMEWHERE, WHERE IS THE PRECIOUS?!"

And yes, RPG maker can dooz lots of stuffz. It took a minute to figure out how to make a black screen with some text as the starting event, but I got that figured out now. I'm pretty giddy about making it.

...so. About that v2.0. I expect it to be coming tomorrow, right? Right, you insomniac you? :lol

I'll tell you though, the win scenes you did for the Ancestral Fly and the Necromancess would make any foot lover just.....well, EXPLODE. To be honest, since feet don't do anything for me, I didn't really so much read those scenes as glance over them, but what I caught tells me you put a LOT of effort into them. You hear me foot lovers?? You BETTER show your appreciation to Anime, or else! :shuriken:

I did explode indeed. IF YOU KNOW WHA-I'll let that thought die out before I get banned. All of the scenes are very well written and I thought there were quite the abundance of scenes with a lot of body parts. The detail of the foot scenes says some pretty good things for this game though. When a creator writes scenes like that, it usually means that (Much like the player) he is drooling over this hottie and the torture you're doing to her. When a creator does that to something HE CREATED....it is a good sign. A very good sign. ^_^

Just got to the "Necromancess, is it me or is that the "Soul Eater" Grim skull on her hat?

So I made it thru the entire game, read the posts of the thread.......

...........aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand I missed a bunch of stuff. 😛issed

Ah well, time to make a ranger and be more thorough.

On a side note, the scene after beating the last boss even trumps the zombie in the house scene. Totally makes it worth going back and playing all over again.

I love the new version so far, I'm still in the Escape cave. The only gripe I have is the lack of a merchant anywhere in the cave. You're getting so much money fighting all those undead monsters and you get loads of cash. It's so frustrating not being able to spend it on much needed potions. I got to use my backup to go back to where I killed the spider girl that kidnapped the priest because I had to use them all on her. Seems I'm going to have to skip her because I can't beat the blue undead girl without anymore potions. :cry

Edit: instead of starting over I'm just going to keep training until I beat her, forgot I had a save before the minecart so I can just train until I get good enough to beat her. I got to the cave at level 6 with 2000 gold, I'm level 10 with 11246 gold.

Edit 2: Well damn...Just realized that the max level is 10. Crap...looks like I'll have to keep trying until I get really lucky. JUST ONE POTION DANGIT! WHY! :cry

I went through the demo with all the classes, so I know a little about the cleric. The cleric actually . . . didn't get much in the early levels. I was kinda hoping to see a better heal than paladin's. I assume she's just going to learn that a little later.

Oh! That reminds me. I have a really important question for you. Do you have all the skills for the classes set already? If not, it might help to know when I shouldn't grind anymore. I wouldn't want to miss a skill.

The Cleric actually gets some nice things the Paladin doesn't. Like...Damage 😛 Not a whole lot, but more than them. See, the Cleric gets buffs. Nice buffs. Like, 5 rounds 25% stacking Defense buffs. Clerics can't tank like a Paladin at all, of course, but then that's not their job. They're support/buff/healer. A Cleric gets heal at level 1. A Paladin gets Heal at level 3. A Cleric gets Heal II at level 10. A Paladin gets theirs at level 25(currently). Clerics get Recovery (AoE heal). Paladins...don't. What's more, a Paladin's heal (and its magic spells in general) will be weaker than a Cleric's just due to stats alone.

All skills for classes 1 - 10 are set. 11 - 20+ is still up in the air. Of course, you don't have to worry about that until part 2 comes out.

I always figured that Nadya was just absolutely flawless! *insert odd techno raygun noise*

By the way, is this "Zombie Scene" everyone keeps yabbering on about that badass alternative way to deal with the zombie? Cause I got that on accident.... haven't seen the "beat her in battle" scene yet XD Though on that subject, dayum Animu! That was one heck of an awesome scene... almost made me feel sorry for the poor the lil corpse gal

Didn't realize the game had gotten another fix for the tunnel scene with Arachne....... so I just wasted a good amount of time XD

Of course she is! :stickout

You won't be able to beat her with that. You'll always get the scene. So if you do another run, you must resist temptation! (actually, I'll change it so there's an option to choose your scene since I now see some problems with this and the future). I am enjoying, however, how many pages could be filled with just stuff on the zombies and their tickle scenes.

Yea, all fixed but that also means anyone who went past needed to have a save to play that bit.

Okay, so, first of all I want to say this game is really great! Overall I have really enjoyed playing it. However, not being a pro at this like some of you seem to be, I am struggling a bit with finding some of the side stuff. For example, I can not find even a single zombie scene. I feel as if I have explored everywhere, but I am afraid I must have missed something early on but have no idea where to begin. Can someone please help??

Also, toward the end of the live version, is there nowhere to actually resupply before the necromancer battle? I need hi-potions and have gotten shards all over the place but I don't know if I missed a random shop or if I am just screwed because I made the mistake of actually fighting the other random monsters and using up all my potions. The last place I could purchase potions was before the centaur raid, so it would really suck to have to go all the way back there, and hi-potions weren't for sale then.

Can anyone give some advice/hints to a bit of a novice? Thanks!! 🙂

Look around the world to find that which you seek. There are plenty of missables in this game, and if you don't do some before the story continues, you won't be able to do them again unless you do a new game. Events also change based on previous actions, or actions you didn't do in the first place, SO BEWARE!

Errr...you used up all your supplies before the boss fight? Hoo boy. Even the ones I put in chests earlier in the escape tunnels? Hoooo boy. No, there isn't a place to buy more potions in the escape tunnels. Hi-potions are also meant to be hard to get this early in the game, thus why you didn't see any buyable. You can only find them currently. Tell ya what, I'll put ooooone more chest before the boss and it'll have a hi-potion in it.

Make sure, next time, you try and conserve resources. I let you have the bed at the start of the tunnels so you could use it to fight, then run back and heal.

I'll upload a new update later tonight that'll give you that potion. I pray you haven't used up the one-time use boss heal too. I also pray you can beat her with that, and if not then you've got a save file when you were in the earlier parts of the mine.

No, I wasn't (that'd be just creepy), but Nadya was. I find it kinda sad that the best "armor" in v1 is a bikini.

Well, for the content you added for v1, it was pretty darn sparse on bellybutton and pretty darn heavy on feet. That's ok though. I know you favor feet more than anything and, since it's your game after all, you can put whatever you want in it. Besides, I know you have something special in store for the button lovers at some point. :cool

I'll tell you though, the win scenes you did for the Ancestral Fly and the Necromancess would make any foot lover just.....well, EXPLODE. You hear me foot lovers?? You BETTER show your appreciation to Anime, or else! :shuriken:

That's why. 😛 I made it so it would switch back to your bikini model because...well..you're wearing it. Of course, if you HAD BEEN wearing one in real life...pictures or gtfo :stickout

Yea, actually, one of the bellybutton scenes was...the second thief that didn't get put in. Lol But yea, I did mention earlier that there would be more foot scenes than non-foot. But yes, plenty more for body parts of all fetish lovers.

Hahaha, you think so? I always can't tell if I'm just throwing out crap since I'm not a writer. At least it isn't the HAHAHAHAHAHA -next line- tickle tickle tickle coochie coo -next line- HOHOHOHOHO. Always nice to feel appreciated though. 🙂

Probably, though I guess that means people are playing Paladin because they think it'll be god mode (oh how wrong THEY'LL be). I do find it odd though. What makes a super hero? Saving people, right? What's one of the biggest things in games, often overlooked, that do just that? Healers. 😛 Still, who wouldn't wanna be a Paladin AMIRIGHT? Bah, I have more respect for the Mages and squishy players dealing with hardships at this point lol.
Anyways...aren't Black Guards fallen PALADINS? Pfft. Evil Cleric. Guffaw guffaw.

Necrobitch! LOL! A part of me hopes that gets put into a walkthrough as a nickname. If THAT is what bothers you...ohhhh man are you in for a bumpy ride. Cuz I'm going to be doing stuff like that THROUGHOUT this game. You better find yourself a hunting dog to track down all these hidden things!

Edit: Oh and funny enough, I AM already working on 2.0. I mean, I already had stuff done for it (again why I freaked out when dalfgan broke through a barrier and thought everyone had access to stuff they shouldn't). Heaven help me if you had been able to get Tula already. But yea, guess I'm the type of guy that just works till I drop. Over. Dead. 😛

I KNOW WH-Ahem...yea... I still am amazed at the compliments I've received for some scenes. I really didn't feel they were that well written, but then again I don't often write. Or show other people my writing. Or anything of the sort. Though it's not like I'm drooling over these characters, I must admit for the first time I have sometimes gotten a little...interested...in the scenes I've made. This is a first for me, because I usually fall into Daddy Syndrome (totally made up) with my work. It's where I can draw a character getting tickled, write about her being tortured out of her mind, have every detail you'd want on her and her ticklishness, and I don't get turned on. It's like that's a daughter or something (Do NOT think too much on that line as that'd make me a TERRIBLE father lol). But if there is one thing I will admit, it's that I absolutely LOVE creating. It's what being an artist is all about, making things, new or old.

Just got to the "Necromancess, is it me or is that the "Soul Eater" Grim skull on her hat?

What? Haha, TW, you're imagining things. Hahaha.

Hahaha. You and your wacky imagination.

Haha...

Yessss you've fallen right for my trap. Missing stuff. Replay value. Excellent. Huehuehuehuehue!

Everything is about the undead. Maybe I should start being concerned that either a)lotsa people enjoyed tickling undead girls the most or b)I put the most effort into tickling undead girls out of living ones

lfrg7Be.jpg

Cameo ring huh? Haven't found any rings there. Plenty of other stuff though 🙁

Ahhh another victim to the mighty MISSABLES! Mwahaha! Well, actually, it isn't a missable yet. You can still get it.

I love the new version so far, I'm still in the Escape cave. The only gripe I have is the lack of a merchant anywhere in the cave. 11246? Is this how many shards people have about this level? I'm really curious now how the rest of you are doing with your daily dose of fighting and rewards.

Have no fear, your shards are going to be put to good use soon after the start of part 2. Where you can buy stuff again. Wonderful, glorious stuff. Like potions. Remember those? Bet most of you little pot addicts want some of those.

Always make sure you have a good supply. If you had 2k before you left town, you should've put some of that to make sure you had a good bit of pots on hand. At least I gave you guys plenty of Antidotes in the cave because I thought for sure nobody would've had, like, ANY stock of them at that point.

There is a way you can beat the Necromancess, but you gotta play a little smart. Though out of curiosity, what class are you?

So where is this Ancestral Fly at? In the tunnels? I just got to the end of the live version but I have seen no fly. The "Necro Bitch" was great though xD lol

The ancestral fly win scene is phenomenal. I'm not sure whether this bug was fixed in a later release, but if you stop at 2/3 of the jar, her sprite—no pun intended—stays on screen instead of disappearing at the end of dialog.

In what area is she in? I haven't seen her yet. Or rather is being in the escape tunnels too far? I just need to know if I have to back track or not.

Yeah, the defense thing was nice, but I think I got that at level 7. So it was good, but it doesn't see much use in the demo. And you totally must have changed that heal thing, or there was a glitch, because my demo cleric does not have heal. It's nice to know they get it now.

I was on level 9 when I thought of that concern. So I see now that you thought of that.

Probably, though I guess that means people are playing Paladin because they think it'll be god mode (oh how wrong THEY'LL be). I do find it odd though. What makes a super hero? Saving people, right? Hey, evil clerics are awesome. My cleric character is evil. In fact, she should be allowed to make everyone in the escape tunnel part of her undead army. I'm gonna go see if I can do that. Cleric will be my next class in version 1. I just completed it with Ranger.

There is a way you can beat the Necromancess, but you gotta play a little smart. Though out of curiosity, what class are you?

I'm a mage, I actually managed to finally beat her! Those lolipops you get from the child helped alot with the status effects, I had about 5 of them, and the scrolls you get after beating the spider boss I used. My strategy at first was to use the foot tickle spell to tickle all three of them at once, I figured that was the best method to go with since I would be attacking all three at once.

I later learned that the toe nibblers were too strong for me to handle them both at the same time. So I used the sleep spell to make one of the spectors go to sleep in the beginning, then I used the regular foot tickle spell to just tickle one at a time while the other one is still asleep. It did fail a few times because I had to get it just right since I didn't have any potions, but with much patients I managed to take her out. YAY! :cool

Not a major bug, just an odd lil graphical mess up. The tile doesn't join properly here. There's also a random black bar just above the water.. Are you trying to stop me from watching water porn with this pathetic little bar?

How do you defeat the blue slime at the second encounter, just outside the town? She seems too hard for me to beat ;(

In what area is she in? I haven't seen her yet. Or rather is being in the escape tunnels too far? I just need to know if I have to back track or not.

You're too far. What you need to do is go talk to Rollo after you've talked with Worynn and before you go to sleep. Rollo will give you a quest to collect a special kind of powder from a certain being with wings. Then, go to Twinkling Tears lake. The Ancestral Fly is in the top right corner of the area.

Just a heads up when you find her, you'll have to find something to get her down from a tree. That something is on the same "level" as the Ancestral Fly. In other words, don't go down the vines to try and find it.

Yea, actually, one of the bellybutton scenes was...the second thief that didn't get put in.

:blink..........say what? You had another one for the 2nd thief you didn't put in? I remember you saying something about freaking out about forgetting she was there and just removing her to solve the situation. *sigh* bummer....

Is she gone for good or might you be putting her in for real in v2? I mean, the best button scene in the game so far is the 1st thief during the centaur raid.

Anyways...aren't Black Guards fallen PALADINS? Pfft. Evil Cleric. Guffaw guffaw.
Well. Yes, technically. But it doesn't count! Cause...these pallys aren't REAL pallys. They aren't spamming hammers or prot speced. ^_^

Necrobitch! LOL! A part of me hopes that gets put into a walkthrough as a nickname. If THAT is what bothers you...ohhhh man are you in for a bumpy ride. Cuz I'm going to be doing stuff like that THROUGHOUT this game. You better find yourself a hunting dog to track down all these hidden things!
...You take that wide grin off your face. I dun like it. I dun trust you AW. I'm going to have to find a hidden corner behind a hidden door that can only be accessed with a certain phrase that is said in an unimportant conversation with a character that only appears if you defeat a monster that is only available for 10 minutes and only has a chance to drop an item that I need to be able to speak to this character and...and...
I'm going to be using every single save slot I have, aren't I?

Oh, and Necrobitch will stick. I always have nicknames for people I meet. I've been calling Tula Red-She-Hulk. And Necrobitch will stick. Hell, it should be Red-She-Hulk's nickname for her. If she pops up again. Which she will.

Over. Dead. 😛
He was found naked and dead, with a smile on his face, a pen, and one thousand pages of erased text.

I KNOW WH-Ahem...yea... I still am amazed at the compliments I've received for some scenes. I really didn't feel they were that well written, but then again I don't often write. Or show other people my writing. Or anything of the sort. I know that feeling all to well, mostly with the stories I write. And correct me if I'm wrong, but a LOOOOOT of the excitement comes because you focus on what others would want to read, so when YOU read the scenes, it's like someone else wrote it. 😛

ALso, yes, I can also confirm that level 1 and 2 does NOT hold a healing spell for Clerics. In case you intended it to. ^_^

The ancestral fly win scene is phenomenal. I'm not sure whether this bug was fixed in a later release, but if you stop at 2/3 of the jar, her sprite—no pun intended—stays on screen instead of disappearing at the end of dialog.

Haha, you really think so, eh? So who is better, Zombie Thief or Ancestral Fly? 😛

That bug should have been fixed, I believe, with the recent updates. Let me know if that isn't so.

Yeah, the defense thing was nice, but I think I got that at level 7. So it was good, but it doesn't see much use in the demo. And you totally must have changed that heal thing, or there was a glitch, because my demo cleric does not have heal. It's nice to know they get it now.

Are you sure it's level 1? I'm not seeing heal for Clerics.

Level 6 actually, but I went over and did some looky loo. I'm actually quite shocked to find that you're right. Cleric wasn't getting their level 1 spell, and I can't for the life of me figure out why it was just the Cleric (Mage gets their spell just fine). I could've made the default class Cleric, but that gave anyone with Magic their heal. Eventually figured out a fix, but I can't believe this slipped under the radar this long.

I'm a mage, I actually managed to finally beat her! Those lolipops you get from the child helped alot with the status effects, I had about 5 of them, and the scrolls you get after beating the spider boss I used. Well crap, now I almost feel annoyed that I gave that hi-potion at the end because it might ruin something like this. 😛 But this was the main tactic I used when testing her. She was originally a lot easier in her early design for 2 reasons: 1) Specters has limited mana. Wait out 4 turns or so and they couldn't cast spells anymore. This meant you could just survive, heal up, then do everything at your leisure. 2) Necromancess wasn't going into battle mode once you defeated all the other undead. SO all you had to do was kill everything and then she was like a fish in a bucket.

Well done. Well done I say. This is what I want future encounters to be - you start using the tools at your disposal and tactics. Using special items and determining what you need to do first instead of going "I SMASH MAH FACE ON THEM AND WINZ!" Problem (for me) is now making sure future battles now actually cause that rather than just swigging a pot and winning.

Not a major bug, just an odd lil graphical mess up. The tile doesn't join properly here. There's also a random black bar just above the water.. Are you trying to stop me from watching water porn with this pathetic little bar?

I actually had 2 fish just fornicating like bunnies there, but I thought the players wouldn't enjoy it too much. Still, put a lot of work into it so I just put a censor bar.

...

Nah, that was just me trying to make an area that looks more like a land bridge over the water. Failed bad it seems.

How do you defeat the blue slime at the second encounter, just outside the town? She seems too hard for me to beat ;(

Hard work, determination, and more levels! If she is proving too difficult, you could head to the east of the town and go into Sandy Smiles. It should help you out more, and you can save the slime for later.

:blink..........say what? You had another one for the 2nd thief you didn't put in? I remember you saying something about freaking out about forgetting she was there and just removing her to solve the situation. *sigh* bummer....

Eh heh...Yeeeaaaah. I did. Oh, no she isn't gone for good. She'll be back in the first content patch I put out for v1. I'm already working on her.

...You take that wide grin off your face.

Lol no, I wouldn't do that to you.

Do go on, though.

Hey, I DID give you 99 save slots...hehehe.

Oh, and Necrobitch will stick. I always have nicknames for people I meet. I've been calling Tula Red-She-Hulk. And Necrobitch will stick. Hell, it should be Red-She-Hulk's nickname for her. If she pops up again. Which she will.

He was found naked and dead, with a smile on his face, a pen, and one thousand pages of erased text.

I know that feeling all to well, mostly with the stories I write. And correct me if I'm wrong, but a LOOOOOT of the excitement comes because you focus on what others would want to read, so when YOU read the scenes, it's like someone else wrote it. 😛

Lol! Red She-Hulk? Psh, Tula too stylin for that. :stickout

Tsk tsk, naked? Cmon, I at least wear a leaf. It's what separates an artist from an animal, for I am not naked, I am NUDE!

Also, I like how I died with, apparently, 1k pages of nothing lol.

This is somewhat true. Still, knowledge of your own work tends to discourage sexual desires. Maybe it's because you know everything, so you can't be surprised by some sexy tickle scene or romantic sensual play...that leads to a sexual tickle scene.

Oh and let me go ahead and say Version 1.4 is out.

This is awesome news. I'm already liking Cleric so much more now. Time to get started.
