Tula definitely has muscle. Brute force?...Well...Yea, yea I guess she has that too lol. But she isn't the dumb brute force. Remember in the escape tunnels? Look at all how well she used her head 😛 I am eager for everyone to get the chance to see "Behind the Booze" of Tula's image. You'll learn a lot about her if you keep her in your party and try to form a relationship.

Now was your Cleric made BEFORE or AFTER the latest update? Because it was discovered Clerics didn't start with Heal, which pretty much meant they were like Warrior trainees or Warrior -1.5. Maybe you should try Cleric again at lvl 1 and see how it is? As you can see below with Lurker's Cleric update.

Well, She-Hulk is also smart, as is Red Hulk. And my Cleric was before the update, so I'll probably try it again. And yes, only two. Because I rebeat the game so many times that I see all the other ones very often. Just...two scenes in particular I really REALLY like. ^_^

For my Paladin, a double tickle does more than a specific weakness, so I never even use the specific spot, anymore.(For example, I was doing 43 damage to Necro on her feet, however, a double ticket did a total of 50+ each turn).

Also, just an update(Am I the only Paladin user?) about the Paladin class. The only tough battle I had was the spider(forgot her name), and the Necro is an easy as hell fight, it's just time-consuming, and I think I'm only a level 6. My defense is so good that not much works against me.

I shouldn't tell you because Paladin makes the game experience easy and accessible to whatever tickle scene I'd like. lol However, the gamer in me feels this imbalance is an injustice to the whole philosophy of gaming!

Please don't nerf her too much. lol

See this is what I like about you guys. You don't take advantage of something shockingly overpowered and keep it to yourselves. You're actually helping me out to make a better game. I thank ya from the bottom of my heart.

Now define a double tickle for me. Are you talking about with the Pheremone Phial? If so, that item is practically this game's cheat item. It's very powerful. The skills are balanced around you NOT having that, so yes, your basic tickle attack will be stronger than your body specific skills with it because you're attacking twice.

Lol I'm trying not to nerf her too much 😛 But yea, Pally is gonna be tough. Maybe slowing down her scaling a little will help, though I'd say it will be fine now that the first part is done. I can really start cutting loose on enemies and giving them a lot of great and terrible things since you guys are entering Party territory.

I still enjoy hearing one Paladin say Necro was hard and they had to pull out tricks, while another says "eeeeasy". Oh you players you lol.

Edit: Hm, that's odd, going back to the ancestral fly didn't fix the quest for me. I wonder if there's something else I did. But no biggie. Evil cleric got to do some damage, and at the end of the day, that's the important part, not the reward.

More Edits: So I started my warrior character. I thought it'd be a good character to test stuff out with because the warrior is pretty balanced. This was using version 1.5. So here's what I got:

Tickle: 57, 59, 63, 59, 56

Tickle Breasts: 42, 51, 37, 50, 46
Tickle Belly: 44, 45, 41, 46, 42
Tickle Feet: 28, 27, 28, 29, 28
Tickle Armpits: 40, 34, 43, 39, 40
Tickle Thighs: 44, 35, 39, 43, 38
Tickle Ribs: 40, 38, 34, 41, 38

So maybe I'm just doing something differently. Or maybe the monsters I've tried this out with don't have any weaknesses. Because I only experimented a little, before this, and just decided I'd stick with regular attack (this was like, in the demo version).

With the whole "target body parts" thing are you using a custom script or are you using the element values provided by the engine?

Speaking of stuff like Tickle Feet, I'm not really sure what the formula is, but whenever I'd play more physical classes it seemed like my regular attack would eventually start outclassing the specific spot tickle commands by a sizable amount, in addition to potentially getting a critical. So I just stopped using them. I wondered if maybe they were based on magical attack or something. I guess one perk would be that I've never seen those skills miss, so maybe they'd be good for dealing some guaranteed damage if you don't want to waste MP. I did that for the Pad Perches.

Tickle [Bodypart] is based on a higher formula than your basic attack. Or at least it SHOULD be. Formulas are still being looked at, of course, but it should be slightly higher at the very least. I've yet to see a basic attack beat out a monster's targeted weak spot (their weakest spot(s) I should say). Dealing roughly 35 - 50% more damage should keep the Tickle skills in the competition. Tickle Skills should also offer better TP generation for physical classes.

My personal experience with the warrior class is that in random, non-boss encounters, the basic tickle always do an amount of damage that is at worst slightly inferior (- 10-20%) to the targeted tickle against the "weakspot", and sometimes the basic tickle attack outmatch the weakspot by a slight amount (up to +10% or sometimes more). Since the first time you face the monster you actually need to find the weakspot before targeting it, of course, sometimes the actual damage output is even less favorable.

Boss fights are another matter entirely; there I can see more clearly the damage increase that you gain if you target the weakspot, and usually you really need that buff to win.

Yes, Anime, it was with the Phial. I didn't know it was considered a 'cheat' for the game. I just figured if you were able to beat her, it was a part of the game. So yes, the foot tickle is probably much better.

And the only reason I found it easy is because I just find ways to do that fight(Just attack one set of baddies so all that's left is Necro and one assist baddie. Once I got through beating one 'set' of them, the rest became extremely easy.

I honestly think Pally + that defense up you find in the small beach town = insane. Most baddies do no damage, and the most damage I ever received was 30 because it was a multi-hit attack.

So maybe Paladin is fine, because I used the Phial.

I just tried to play Live v1.5, but I crash as soon as I hit any button during the menu. The music plays fine, but if I hit "Z" or an arrow key everything hangs up and I have to end the process. I tried restarting my computer but that did not help.

The whole story and the possibility of going too far versus resisting and the "was totally a snake and not me yeah". IT was all very lovely. And the second scene was zombiebitch. She was...an incredibly fun fight. From the attack on Tula to if you lose to her to winning against her and her "Ultimate" torture. It was all a pleasure to read and...a pleasure...erm, anyway, yes. Those are my two scenes. ^~^

Your tests are interesting but also off a little. The reason for this is your test subjects (though it makes it all weird). Ok, so Fledgling Harpies have weaknesses, but the 2 they have are set to 115%, unlike what I normally put. Of course, they're also one of the few mobs I've got that actually have super ticklish spots in that area.

Your data has proven true, basic attacks do more than tickling specific body parts...

...On mobs like this. On others, like the Plump Slime (mark 2) with her tig 'ol bitties, I have - with no armor, no weapon, roughly 10 damage on basic attack but 28 - 32 on breast tickling. This difference continues no matter what weapons I put on. Perhaps there is a breaking point where skills surpass the basic attack, and it seems to be when an enemy has at minimum 135% to a body part.

I'm messing with formulas right now, sortof, but I think this is a neat little find that will stay the course. Some fights basic attacks win, others do better with specific body parts.

It's more like a borderline, I'd say. Since it's pretty damn powerful. Pretty friggin powerful actually! There's only going to be one more thing in the game that has double attack.

That's actually the tactic I setup the fight with. I'm sure there are others (such as chucking lollies at them, that was brilliant and made me so happy), but that was what I tried in playtesting. It's not overly complicated, but it's the start of tactic-based fights.

Alright I gotcha, no more defense up items in the whole game. 😛 Kidding of course. But yea, Pallies are tough as steel. That multi-attack, I assume, is from Arachne? It's a higher miss chance but ignores defense attack with static damage. Expect to see more things like that in the future, among other things (defense debuffs do a good job at balancing paladins).

3. Have you had this issue before with previous editions or is this the first time you've played the game?
4. Have you tried running the game in compatibility/administrator mode?

I think we'll have to explore this again the further you guys get into the game. I'm hoping to try and keep both relevant throughout (and not just for one or two fights). Good testing none the less!

Did any of the compatibility modes work? Did you try running compatibility along with the exe set to Administrator at the same time?

Did you get a virus detected when trying to unzip the game? (sometimes antivirus think an RPG Maker game is a virus, and actually screw up extraction).

If the game just hangs, how long do you let it hang before trying? See if maybe there isn't just some lagging going on and wait a few moments to see if it corrects itself.

I tried compatibility modes with various XP service packs, Vista, Server 2008, and Win 7. I did not have any luck with those. No changes when I ran it as administrator while using compatibility mode.

No viruses detected.

I let the game sit for around 3 minutes before cancelling the process.



It starts out normally with the menu selection rectangle flashing until I press any key. Then I cannot interact with the window at all, even close it out without using Task Manager.

Yes, I am a foot lover. Whereas I adore tickling as a whole, the feet are certainly an area that gets my co-erm, my...confidence...up....yeah.
Oooo! The prospect of scarey scenes is goooood. I love me some scares! Hell, horror is pretty much my favorite genre. Amnesia is one of my all time favorite games. And H.P.Lovecraft my favorite author. ^~^

I've never had any problems. I've gotten every version except . . . 1.1 I think it was. Although I use XP and I already have RPG Maker VX Ace.
