[VX Ace] The Laughing Isles

That is... excellent news! 😱 Take your time. 😀 I wonder whether I'll find all the new content and whether I remember all of the 'easter eggs' I found in my previous playthrough.

I still believe most players never even found all the scenes with the zombie girl. Just fyi, there are 3 :lol
Another reason to hold off is that I've added a new lighting system that was available, to help with environments and set proper mood. I'm not sure, but I feel a script like this require everyone to start a new game.

ANIIIIMEEEEEEEEEEEEE! How are you!?!? Thank the interwebs you have returned xD Even Tickle Theater couldn't contain itself and had to take a break from excitment! Haha!

TINY TURTTTTLLLLE! I'm alright, dude! As you can see, still alive! And - thank you and happy belated birthday to you. Was really nice to receive a birthday message from someone 🙂

Some very good news! During a moment I was affraid you were "gone for ever". take your time to do that update. Knowing you I'm sure it will be awesome!

I see you've been looking for me. I'm honored to be missed 🙂 I know you all say "take your time", but I think I've taken enough time :lol You all should have had something by now, and I apologize. The hardest part is getting the same spark as I once did; it's like your skills going rusty without practice.

hah, welcome back, old lad 😀

'Ello again, secret breaking wizard. Ohhh don't think I haven't forgotten you roaming into places ya shouldn't! Hahaha it's good to see you still up and about. I've got to finish this beast I've created with my own hands - how else will people write strategy guides to help others discover all the secrets? :stickout

The 3 scenes with the zombie girl? I only had one and I started the game several time with different classes.

So far, here are all secrets I discovered:

- worlf girls

- the octopus girl

- the spider girl

- the butterfly boss

- two potions to increase your maximum amount of HP and MP

- an invisible wall in the onis' lair

- the secret beach

- Are there a lot more things?

Also questions: will there be consequences if you saved ALL citizens from centaurs (including the husband)?

Will there be consequences if you "kill" or "spare" monsters?

He he, that'll be stuck in your mind forever 😉 better double check your barriers this time!

...wut? 3? :scared It's time to travel again...

Btw, if you need a beta tester for the new version just to remove the most obvious bugs ('obvious' for the player, impossible to think of as developer 😀) don't hestiate to drop me a pm and I'll do a quick playthrough.

There are 3 zombie scenes? Does that include the scene you get when you lose? Because I only found the win scene, the lose scene, and one other scene that I won't describe to avoid spoilers. I thought that the flaming feet spell (I think that's what it's called) would do something, but I don't think it did.

Apparently I'm not as meticulous when it comes to exploring as I though.

By zombie girl you mean the super rare random encounter with Zombie Child, right?
I can only count two "scenes" with her though... one if you try to tickle her, and other if you just curl and not attack...

How to get the third?(I mean it's super annoying to try encountering her 1000 times to check various possibilities, she should either appear more often or somehom imply third possibility...)

i'm not sure, but i think he is refering to the boss.

Alright so, not counting the zombie child (Which I'm setting off to find the ending where you curl up in fear from her) I still have questions before you revamp the game. Both in the caves.

ONE. The boulder. Was there some secret means of getting past it, or was that going to be revealed when you came back to it sometime after the start of 2.0?

TWO. The big thing that ended with sim sim salabim that seemed to have some secret to it. Again. Current access or was it something planned to be accessible later, or just a reference to something?

Honestly, I figured I may as well ask you now, since it seems the original version of this game will be replaced anyhow. If even now you don't wanna be spoiler-y, I could always PM you for extra juicy hints?

Scratch that. Apparently I misread. I dunno where I got the idea you were deciding between restarting or continuing where you left off.. Clearly, my mind has already left the premises.

Good to see you back AW. 🙂

Thanks, Xtreme. It's good to be back, and good to see you still runnin around here. 🙂
I really need to visit all the other game maker's threads and add my little critiques and posts of admiration (your's included). Once I release the last update of v1.9, I'll do that.

That is a delightful list you have there. DELIGHTFUL!
Let's look over there:
Wolf girls (secret)
Octo girl (Side quest)
Spider girl (Side quest)
Butterfly boss (Side quest)
Potions (secret)
Invis wall in oni's lair (Secret)
Secret Beach (Secret)

Some things you may not know -

Throwing the ball for the dog instead of keeping it allows a difficulty change (capture blocker) to the kidnapping.

Oni's invis wall should lead to a treasure room.

There is an invis wall in the escape tunnel.

Yes there will be consequences. The Dark path has requirements that you destroy a certain about of Main Bosses through tickling. Killing monsters changes future battles, and alters scenes completely that required them.

Saving all townsfolk is a given. Saving the bonus ones will give you rewards in the future (when they aren't all hostage).

He he, that'll be stuck in your mind forever 😉 better double check your barriers this time!

Lol checkin and checking. Actually, I would greatly appreciate another beta tester for the next bit! Thanks dal!

Yaaay! Leave it to Lolita to uncover it! Yes, those are the three scenes: win, lose, alternative.

Way to GO!

Yes, I meant zombie thief, not the little girl. Check there!

There is a secret to getting past it. But I'm afraid your party is lacking monster strength. Might want to look into bringing a friend with you (v2.0).

The ancient door is also going to be accessible in v2.0 So keep your eyes peeled for when you're in there again.

Zombie thief? So Zombie Child has no actual tickling scene? Well... I guess she kinda could count as loli, and everyone seems to avoid them around here...

I must replay the game I think because I can't remember any zombie thieves XD

Oh and I also discovered secret battle with frog girl(It has a little bug though that causes losing scene to play when you press to skip it, and not play when you press to don't skip... also in my own opinion scene could use some feet tickling, but that's just me XD), I don't think anyone mentioned it yet!

The Zombie thief is a missable event around the time of the adorable Ancestral Fly. In the favor of not giving out spoilers, that's all I'll say.

Man, I'm so happy AW came back. Not just because the world needs more of his game, I missed his posts full of anime pictures and gifs.

Found the Zombie Thief! Yet still I am only able to get two scenes... Winning and losing. I do have suspicions that third scene might have something to do with zombie girl disappearing after you tickle her into unconsciousness and then going back... but it's just a hunch.

I never heard of that Zombie Thief before. I'll try to check the game again. If that's at the moment of the ancestral fly, that means she's not in the escape tunnel right?

Ah also animewatcher: Yeah I knew for the ball and the dog that blocks the centaur, I already blocked her one day while she was kidnapping the husband (without the ball and the dog) but it's really hard ^^.

But I didn't know for that wall in the escape tunnel.

I really like the fact there are many secrets in your game!

Ah also I'm totally volunteer if you need someone to test the 2.0 mission (I'll try to do it with all possible classes just in case).

You can count on me: I just helped brewedwar by testing her next update.

I'll report all bugs I can see!

There were secrets? hold on a minute... Woah... Okay.. Umm.. AW.. What is all this stuff I'm seeing in the game files? I just opened up the project in RPGMaker, and I have absolutely no recollection of all this stuff being in the game.

As far as I can remember the game ends like a minute after you leave the escape tunnel. Yet looking at this, it makes me think I just somehow missed 80% of the game.

Seriously. I'm looking for the switch that triggers the "thanks for playing" scene after you leave the tunnels, but I cannot fuckin find it, instead I see all this other stuff.

Did you update the game like 36 times while I wasn't looking? or am I just looking at things that I shouldn't be looking at yet?

I am SO FUCKING CONFUSED RIGHT NOW.

I'm still wondering about the prison everyone talked about, and the two areas I asked about on the last page inside the mines, if there was anything going on with them.

Well now you're just being too nice to me. Glad someone enjoys the collection of crap I've collected over the years :lol

As hinted, there is another way - a fight isn't always needed.

The zombie thief is way before the escape tunnels (I know, I know, even with undead all over the place). Try returning to places you've been to and fully exploring houses - especially those with upstairs.

Well, something you might not know (and neither would anyone else) - that ball is an item that helps out, whether now or later in the game. It's up to you which you'd prefer to use it for, and no it isn't just for the dog.

I wanted to add a lot of secrets; it was a part of my initial design before I began creating. I wanted replayability and I wanted to reward players for exploring! Seeing people, even now, not having seen everything - that's just wonderful. I mean, just this third scene with the zombie thief sparked curiosity and excitement among users. Just - one - scene. That's what I love seeing.

I'll keep your application in mind, though wait for me to get the updated 1.9 version out. Nearly done, just wish I wasn't as busy at work.

I-I'm sorry, wha?

Are you referring to the game files that only I should have access to? Is the 80% of the game you're talking about everything I am still working on with the game, and thus something players can't see?

I can't stop people from doing this, but do know that cracking open another person's game is pretty invasive, whether you did it or someone else. I've got a lot of things in there I'm working on for the future of the game that everyone else doesn't need to see because - well - it's still in progress (thus why there is a "Thanks for playing" switch to stop people from continuing into unfinished content).

Sooooo yes - you are definitely looking at things you shouldn't.

And there isn't a way to accidentally do that without cracking as I didn't allow access to those files publicly. So if you could - please refrain from looking any further! I don't want you to spoil anything I have planned in the game's future either for yourself or for others; half the fun is exploration and first-time discovery.

And the zombie thief hidden third scene is only accessible if you try to find a way to NOT fight her.

And speaking of spoilers - I appreciate those that help out without simply giving the answer away. Not that flat out telling the answer is bad - but it keeps the wonder and excitement when another player is lost, is pointed in the right direction, and eventually stumbles upon what they were looking for. That added sense of "AHA! I FOUND IT! Show me your secrets!" is so much better than "Okay, here's what I do and - oh, there it is. Cool. Okay, continue".

Finding it with the least amount of help always feels more rewarding than being hand-held (but it's also nice to have someone just tell when you've been struggling too long!) So, good job Psycho 🙂

Haha, found a way to get Zombie Thief's third scene! Probably best of them all!
Strangely we don't get naughtiness from it, even though it's probably a little more "torture-y" than the one after you win normally.

Can't wait for the new version, which I presume will have even more secrets!(Hopefully as much as possible involving various kinds of feet fun) 😀

I can't stop people from doing this, but do know that cracking open another person's game is pretty invasive, whether you did it or someone else.

I suppose for people like Cryptic7 the excitement is to look at exactly these things noone else has seen. A bit like walking into an old (or, in this case, new and still empty) city as the first person ever. It's also like looking over the back of the developer I suppose.

While he really shouldn't spoil anything for other players, having people look at hidden game files is just something one has to accept as RPG Maker user. You CAN delete the maps you're not using yet though and save the project as seperate project (and create the playable version out of that), which limits the secrets which can be found through cracking the game files.

Still life gets easier to just accept that fact and maybe even put 1-2 hidden messages into the maps only visible for people looking through the game files, at least that's how I am solving that problem (as if I ever had made a game that was ready enough to be published :stickout ). That way you're not the 'victim' of people cracking your game, you make it part of the game... or sth like that.

AW, some people like to crack open RPG games and see what makes them tick (guilty). It's why I hide stupid stuff in mine, just in case it goes out to anyone that likes to peek under the hood.

On another note, anyone mind detailing to me how you get this Ancestral Fly event? Cause I've done god knows how many playthroughs now and keep missing this so called event.

And on another another note, your download link on the first page is dead... Which unlock your ticklish footed zombie thief, is not cute 🙁

To unlock Ancestral Fly event you have to play until almost the moment when you can't come back, and look around the city for a certain bored female. She will explain what you need to do.
I could explain clearer, but I want to keep it as Animewatcher wished, and avoid spoilers as much as possible.
