Huh my friend was totally gonna play it tonight as they just downloaded cause it was on sale on xbox. Is it any good? I didn't have enough time to see before I left

It's amazing. It's both the Alien game we should have got with Colonial Marines, and one of the better stealth survival games I've played (the Xenomorph's behaviour is totally random, so you can't just trial and error you're way through the whole game). It's also incredibly stressful, because it's completely random, thus the 1 checkpoint at a time.

And I modify a lot of my own files, so those are irreplaceable.

When I'm all done with that though, I'm thinking about giving skyrim another go.

I had started revisiting some older games, like Star Ocean. I'm kinda... staying away from the ps3 until I can afford PSPlus because I'm really tired of getting hours into a game for some tragedy to happen and wipe the ps3. My external has all my artwork stuff backed up on it, but I should probably figure something out. hah. Laze.

I was also getting back into Dragon Age and Dragon's Dogma. Destiny got a bit repetitive so giving that a break. Mentioned Monster Hunter in another post now I'm considering revisiting that sometime too when I have more time to devote to gaming again.

I've been regressing lately. Went back to PS1 games when things were simpler, Hot Shot Golf actually lol I did start another game, Tony Hawks Project 8. Being a BMXer though its like playing a game about an arch enemy.... I'm taking a break from Gran Turismo, as I'm building a car in RL to upgrade from pixels or till I get a PS4 and PROJECT CARS!

Switching between Splatoon (Wii U) and Balloon Fight (NES). I haven't been gaming much lately, so these games that allow brief-but-exciting sessions (anything from 3 to about 10 minutes, usually) are perfect for me right now.

Oh lawd is that the one from original playstation? The one where you get to ship characters together with private actions? If so I truly loved what little I got to play of the game. Really was a unique take on the rpg system I so despise where instead of the enemies being courteous and each party having "turns" to choose attacks it's all real time and you gotta focus on whatcha wanna do

Actually if it's the PSX he'd mean the second one. The first came out on the SNES, but wasn't released outside Japan. Either way there are actually a lot of RPG games that now use more active combat than the turn based system. The Tales series comes to mind.

It was originally for the SNES (Star Ocean II was for PS1 though!).
I've been playing the PSP remake of it though because YEEEEEAHHH SUBTITLES AND CUTSCENES. But yep! Private scenes!!!

League of Legends, I'm beating all the Prince of Persia games (not the retro, de Ubisoft games), and i started the Transistor (i can't deny it, the isometric games are my weakness, and this game is so good)

My roomate actually showed me that one for the psp. It's kinda cool but to be honest I really dislike quite a few of the voice actors in it. But it is reallly nice to see things updated, and supposedly a new character is added as well

Yup, there was a new character added in the PSP remake, as well as a new secret dungeon? It's been a while since I played it so I could be mistaken. I personally liked the characters but unfortunately the story got the "Command Mission" syndrome. That syndrome being, most of the extra characters held very little water in the main plot and simply became 'just there'.

It's called Command Mission because Mega Man X Command Mission, another RPG, had the same issue with extra characters having little to do with the plot. Voice actors aside, I think the game is fun, but Star Ocean 3: 'Til the End of Time remains my all-time favorite SO series title. I almost wanna say it's one of my all-time favorite games.

Been giving Witcher 3 (PS4) and Darkest Dungeon (PC, master race), a lot of my time recently.

My first Witcher game and I like the world so far.

Darkest Dungeon is a harsh mistress that beats me bloody and leaves me wanting more when I succeed.

Didn't really get to play that one cause like I pretty much stopped gaming for a long time around that point since I was attending high school. Looked it up but just don't really like the characters I guess? Probably a case of nostalgia blinders but I really enjoyed characters like Ashton and Precis from the Second Story. They were my otp and it was so cute to see Precis make a special move out of Ashtons killer move once their relationship is high enough.

Personally I thought it was ok if a bit meh until the uh...big plot twist. The infamous "We were in a video game all along?!" one. That was just dumb. Very dumb.

Anyway, reinstalling Morrowind. Which means about 10 hours spent modding. Yay me.

Yeah voice acting isn't the best... I'm not a fan of dubs that try too hard to emulate the Japanese emotions, it ends up sounding goofy :\

I liked SO3 too, even if I got stuck on one of the battles for A FRIGGIN YEAR. lol Just like with Lunar II, there was a battle I could NOT get past. I kept renting the game (back in the days of Blockbuster's 7-day rentals LOL) and I would spend my entire time after school trying and trying... I rented it so much my mom took pity on me and bought the collector's edition because she felt like even that was cheaper LOL! (I wore Lucia's pendant until the rope gave out... *tear*)

It 'was' the music for SO 3 that made me love it! Cutting Edge of Notion? Divine Spirit of Language? All of it was so good. So I can agree with you there Dalek! I'd have to say it's one of my favorite game soundtracks around, even if the game may not 'technically' be in my top 10, it's soundtrack sure as hell is. Whenever one of it's tracks pops up in my expansive music collection I'm just like YESSSS (Now entering musical bliss)

And Becks, you prolly don't like it because they went the heavy anime route for SO 3. SO 2 was still pretty anime-styled but SO 3 just jumped it up. More fan service moments, characters sticking to one character type. Gotta riiiiise above the bias dear!

I remember Blockbuster, we used to use it actively.>.> But I'm one of those losers they call "Good at games", so it never took me more than 1 rental to beat a game. \o/ Now adays I can't bring myself to ever rent from services like Gamefly though, I'd much rather own the game if I'm so interested in it. Besides, it'd be weird if I simply RENTED Super Smash Bros 4 but have this Pac-Man Amiibo just endlessly giving me the thumbs up ontop of my PC.

I heard Lunar was good though but, never got to get into it. SO 1 and 2 were also lucky for me to get to play on the PSP as I don't own one myself. Though I must say, the music pales in comparison to SO 3. Guess we all wear some nostalgia goggles.

Though...now I wanna go get SO 3 and fully complete it...100% will be a bitch if I try though. >_>

I've got it I just have to set up my PS2 again haha. You could probably find it super cheap at this point. 😱

But I've been thinking about playing through the Suikoden series again, I already replayed IV, tactics, and most of V. I'd have to jump back to I-III after that because I'm one of those peeps that wants to play in chronological order regardless of release order lol
