Super Smash Bros Brawl

Well we all knew it was only a matter of time. I knew since Snake was announced. I actually wondered if they'd keep his inclusion a secret, but then I didn't think they would since his being in it would be a good selling point.

So that leaves 1 more potential 3rd-party. Any guesses on who it could be? I would say Megaman. Only issue with that is he's blue...Sonic is blue...Snake is blue...Not a huge one I guess, but it would be a bit funny.
 
I saw it sonic up there today! made me happy, He has some bad ass moves and his final smash is apparently his super sonic form
 
I always saw Snake as gray, not blue. Personally, I think Mega Man would just be an odd amalgamation of Kirby and Samus, with the only difference being you can use an enemy's B move or whatever only after you kill them, and then a question of how to change weaponry, whether you get to keep it upon death, etc. In my opinion, too much trouble.

I could honestly care less about Sonic being in the game. Hell, you couldn't pay me to care less about Sonic being in the game. All in all, I'm still hoping for Geno, and I'm not sure if that counts as third party or not. On the one hand, it was Mario RPG, but on the other, it was Squaresoft. Hm.

If it doesn't count, at the expense of adding more blue-haired sword-wielding characters, I'd say Ryu from the Breath of Fire series, but much better would be Nina Wyndia, preferably from BoF2. While still on Capcom, Phoenix Wright would make a more than amusing cameo character. And back to Squaresoft, pretty much anyone from Final Fantasy VI or Chrono Trigger would be amazing.

Eh, I kinda saw snake as wearing a lighter shade of blueish gray, but that's just me. For Mega I'd guess either you gain a special ability from the last KO'd opponent, or he'd just not have copy powers.

Funny thing is you could replace Sonic with Geno in your second paragraph and you'd have my feelings. Of course, there was no way Sonic wasn't going to be in, but Geno may be in as an AT, all depending on whether he's 3rd party or not. If he is, there is NO WAY he should be in before Mega, or maybe Chrono.

And I don't see a BoF character getting in, seeing as how BoF had jumped to Sony and it isn't the most well-known series(although a 3D version of BoFII Nina would be the most drool-worthy thing in Brawl 😉). I could see Phoenix Wright making a cameo, but, again, not before Mega.

If he didn't have copy powers, I don't see why he'd be in the game. I suppose you could have maybe a set of different powers or a random power or two from an older game, but hey.

That's what we call an opinion. I've never been a fan of Sonic, but I personally think that Geno requires absolutely no thought on how to put him in the game except for maybe his Up+B move.

It's not the most well-known series, but then neither is Earthbound or Ice Climbers to a certain extent. I'm thinking Nina if only for the fact that they've shown gliding and therefore has the wings make a bit of sense.
 
Home-run contest is back. Now with 2-player co-op and alternating modes and also online co-op and alternating.

Wait! WHAT!? No! NO! *checks the link* This has to be fake- no~ Oh no!

*sobs* Now I must wait even longer? I was so looking forward to playing Brawl during my college Smash Nights in Winter Quarter. Now it appears I must wait until Winter Quarter is halfway through; curse it all!

I keep waiting- and waiting- oh man I want this game. Everyone wants this game. Everyone loves this game. *caresses the name* T_T But it's so far out of reach. And dammit I really wanna see what they give Peach! She was my pride and joy~ lol.
 
Oh well, this just means they get more time to make the game better. ^^
 
I suppose. Still a disappointment though, but I guess I can put off getting a Wii now...
 
they should be restocking Wiis by the beginning of next year though, since Nintendo themselves said they won't have enough Wiis to sell out for the holiday season
 
A few new updates. Meowth is now confirmed as a poke ball, the controls for the Wii Remote were shown, and it is revealed that you have to pummel the Smash Ball into oblivion first. You can still control when your Final Smash happens, as it replaces your standard B move.
 
If there were to be any KH characters...it would have to be limited to the solely KH characters and not ones who are "elsewhere" (I mean Disney Characters, other Final Fantasy game characters, etc.)

Basically... Sora and maybe Axel since they were in CoM.

Still, it would be pretty cool to have Sora in SSBB however unlikely the chances are. 🙂

EDIT: I just watched the demo and as a old school Sonic fan I must say... FREAKING AWESOME!!! Now I have to get a Wii...damnit!!!

we have more than enough people with swords already, even if the sword happens to be an oversized key in the case with Sora
 
Okay... I have zero indication that this character I'm about to suggest has even been mentioned in the rumour mill and due to the fact that the character was primarily Sony but has since "*****d" himself to Nintendo and Microsoft makes for less of a chance: how about Crash Bandicoot?
 
I don't know if any KH or Crash Bandicoot game has been released on a Nintendo system, and I believe that was the one requirement for third-party characters.
 
he was on a GBA crossover with Spyro once if I recall, but that's really obscure...not to mention Crash has gotten as obscured in the shadows like Spryo and Bubsy....then again, that did'nt stop Ice Climbers from showing up after one game....

Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories is a Game Boy Advance game and I believe that "The Wrath of Cortex" Crash game was one released on all 3 systems (PS2, XBOX and the Cube) though I'm not 100% sure on that.
