Tower of Gargalesis (Tickling RPG M/F, F/F, F/M)

The backing track of the Snow Fields is meant to convey loneliness, despair and tragic loss. While these tracks are lovely, the one Deus chose for it is perfect, I think.

They'll probably fit in with my own project, so thanks! ^^

Your own project? YOU'RE MAKING A TRPG GAME AS WELL? Zomg, everyone's making games these days XD

These songs were made with a depressing feel to them. I thought that would fit the snow fields. :sneaky

Lol, yeah it seems that way doesn't it?
But at the moment I'm working on a Slightly Less Traditional RPG.
What I mean by SLTRPG is that levelling will be handled akin to TES games and there will be a lot of smacking things about. And an alignment system is in the works (not good/evil, but Light/Dark and Lawful/Chaotic instead).

Not to call TRPGs traditional in any way.
I'm planning on making one as I type, but it may take a LONG time before I'm happy enough to release. And even longer if I use Ren'Py for it. Might also use RPG Maker. Lol, that would mean I could become proficient at both, but excelling at neither...

Although dev on Raven Hollow is still going on, a year and a half after its initial inception, I'm open to ideas for more projects.

I don't check in here very often, but if you have any ideas, feel free to email me ^^

Well, if there's tickling in it, I'm sure us TT gamers will eagerly play it even if it is quirkier than the standard TRPG!

SLTRPG is a mouthful, but it sounds like a very interesting and ambitious project and I'd love to hear more about it. Maybe consider making a thread dedicated to your game! Hehe, that's everyone's doing these days!

Lawful/Chaotic and Light/Dark sound like very interesting morality systems to work with as well. Tell me more. In fact, if possibly make a thread explaining all this 🙂

And I don't know your email. Oh well. Better hope I get lucky and you get back on TT soon then. XD

Well, if you think about it, Venus Passion isn't quite as traditional a TRPG as ToG, but it's still very good.

I'll probably play your game, squark. Especially if there's bellybutton content in it.

I may have neglected to mention that Raven Hollow is not a Tickling RPG. My second project almost surely will be. I'll start a new thread when I get started on it ^^

Hey guys, I have a few questions I don't know the answer of.
1.How do I know a monster's weak spot? I can't find it anywhere.
2.How do I see the enemies HP?
3.How do I see how much XP I still need before leveling up?
Thanks in advance :>

The weak spot is where you deal more damage, for example, it will deal more damage in the belly of a Giggle Goblin since that is their weak spot, it will do less in the other areas. By the way, some monsters do not have a weak spot, but the belly and the armpits(for example) will deal a little bit more damage than the neck, better pay attention to that.
I think there is a status option in the menu, it should be there were you find the next level xp.

IIRC, the survivalist or ranger or whatever had some ability to see weak spots. Also, if you crack the game open in RPGMaker, you can see the weak spots listed in the database.

I've been playing ToG and I've been wondering...could Honey Bee actually be the Spirit of Knismesis? I mean she says she has a sister that we'll meet, knows how to beat mammona and has information about the other bosses in the tower, and knew about the charity core. There are other examples, but i just don't remember them all.

RPG Maker not playing Midi Files

Is anyone else having this problem?
It's not just VX, but XP, 2K, 2K3 and VX Ace as well.
Mp3s and Oggs work just fine. The whole problem is that Windows 7 was not packed with a working Midi Mapper. I've spent the last seven hours looking for a fix. Has anyone else experienced/fixed this?
MS packed with their GS Synth, but it seems to be rather crippled in that it plays the tracks themselves well enough (though Soundfonts are better) but it will not play them when instructed by RPG Maker.

I was wondering if anybody can suggest a fix for me, as I rather love the tracsks used in ToG. It's odd, because it's only in the last few months that it's gone haywire. I don't want to have to suggest a recode, because Soundfont makes the tracks sound a hell of a lot better.

I'd post this on a general RPGM forum, but I think I'll actually get better answers here. Some of the other forums just assumed other people with the problem were sound designers. Pah.

Peace.

RE-EDIT:
I found a better fix.* Here's exactly what I did:
1: Download VirtualMIDISynth.
2: Set it up with an nice SoundFont (I'm using Fluid R3).
3: Use VirtualMIDISynth to change the default driver to the Coolsoft option.
4: Follow these instructions to the letter.**
5: Try a test run on ToG. Should work right away. Did for me.

*: Probably only applicable to people running x64 versions of Windows 7.
**: It's easier if you have something with a "Replace All" like Notepad++.

Now enjoying non-silent midi sound-based games ^^v

P.S. Un-Named Tickling RPG now in pre-planning. Will accept names and ideas.

Check Deus signature, the answer is there. Oh, and save before going down, you can't come back up until you save the little girl's mother.

Edit: oh, he dosen't have the signature anymore... uhn, try using the "search" option in this topic, it must be somewhere.

Having not played the updated version, i am now playing it.

The Honey Bee fight song is the best thing ever. Well played, sir. Bowser is my favorite video game character, so this made me very happy. I knew it was that song within the first two notes. haha

Sorry to de-rail the topic--but I'm completely flummoxed. I'm fighting Beelzebebe (the first time--I guess there's more than one time you fight her) as a level 7 Slayer, I have the Giggle Goblin pet, and I'm completely getting trounced. Any help?

She has alot of health, I'd say it's about a 5-10minute fight so you just got to be patient and make sure you got enough health potions, It also depends on the difficulty you set the game on, and in the beginning of the game how ticklish you are in certain spots. The higher you made yourself ticklish. The harder the game is. Also make sure you don't over level to much, because the enemies follow your levels and makes the game even harder. Hope that helped.

Hey, thanks for your advice, it worked! 🙂 Finally 😛 But now I have another question, or I guess a worry--Is Deus still working on this game? I mean, I can understand if something came up--but that's kinda what I want to know...if he's still around and working on this?

EDIT: Disregard what I said--saw that decryption is most-often illegal, or at least frowned-upon...so nevermind.
