Finally managed to sign up after months of "Invalid referer" for the capata. 😱

At first I was going to request help on Paranoia since I tried for 3 weeks and couldn't beat it.

Now it's something else.

I rather enjoyed the game until that point when I was originally playing it and I had made custom outfits to go with the story for my character. Like making the clothes look tattered early on and making a blue & white outfit for later when getting the good armor. Also made her slightly skinny-er.

BUT!

This new version doesn't have graphic file access. 🙁 Where it has like Actor 1,Actor 2 etc. Only audio and fonts folders are there.

I was using the adventurer. I've attached the graphic file with the later blue & white outfit so it's clear as to what I'm talking about.

Will graphic file access be restored in future versions or will the folder still be hidden? 🙁

I'll see what I can do.

I fixed the issue with Honey Bee, so now you should automatically move in front of her, avoiding that issue. Also fixed the issue with the Goblin game over in the maze. The chest game over being left in place is intentional.

I can't find an issue with the tentacles. I've tried it several times, and it always works, so...I honestly can't say what's wrong. I'll gladly provide a video showing it working, assuming you mean the hole in the maze. But, I just can't figure out what's wrong.

For future reference, everyone, if you point out a typo...please give me context. While I have the story memorized, I don't have every single line of dialogue committed to memory. Just a helpful tip for correcting those issues.

I'm still working on the menu screens. I'll probably go back to the simpler design I had before.

I'll see if I can do text rush, but more than likely, no.

I'm leaving the inability to run in doors just because I'm a dick. But seriously, I may change that later, it's an easy change, just obnoxiously tedious.

When I have something more substantial than minor fixes (IE: The Chapter 1 bonus scenes) finished, I'll upload a patch.

So Dance with Devil mode, anything different besides extra pain?

Generally speaking, Yusei aren't outright evil. They are acting more on just natural instinct. Chou Mamono would be the Queens, Paranoia, etc.
But wasn't dominating not always evil with them? The slug boss comes to mind.
 
I was able to reproduce the tentacle thing. During the dialog after inspecting the ripples in the water, the player is able to move during a couple points: immediately before and after "My head...Where am I?" and right after "What's that?" (I think it's when the character animates, but am not certain.) If the character is anywhere but the center of that platform, the character is paralyzed and doesn't get dragged up for the scene.

Suggested fix: paralyze the character during the dialog.

You can use grep -rn "phrase goes here including quotes" * from your data folder to find the specified lines. I can list the files and line numbers I think approximate where things actually live, but I'm not a beta tester and don't have RPGMaker VX installed, so I don't really trust the locations to match up. I've been omitting context to avoid spoiling anything for players. Some phrases I listed are also out of playable range in this release, but are still resident in this release's data, so I figured you might want the feedback.

P.S. Very glad to hear about the text rush change. It'll make testing and bypassing scenes a lot nicer.

I can confirm this as well, that's the second little glitch I ran into beside the one I PM'ed to you. I had moved one tile up even before she started "dragging" me, fucking up the event in the process. Reload and not moving works like a charm, as lurka pointed out.

Personally I think you should edit out the sentence about not playable data. People might get curious, unconciously do something illegal (even if there are no bad intentions) or just ruin their fun.

You have to use a Mage to get the class specific tickling scenes for feet, yes.

I personally think the class scenes make for a nice added touch but there's really enough for everyone in the general Events/Game-Overs, so play what you feel like playing.

Out of curiousity, you sound like you'd mind playing a mage, why? Difficulty/Classes are totally different now, so if it's about having a hard time, give it a try first. If not, forget I said anything. 🙂

correct me if im wrong, but the sequence for lady venus is: tug on wrists, insult her, tug on ankles. Right?

EDIT: The fight music for Honey Bee is/reminds me of the first Boss fight with Bowser from Super Mario RPG

The game now prompts you to rate areas during character creation. Even though the class descriptions still talk about certain parts, it's possible Deus may be able to (and intend to?) separate the region from the class.

It is possible, but I'm not going to do it. At least not presently. Too much information is tied to the Class ID, and I'm not going to mess with it right now.

Tug/Insult/Tug will work regardless of what body part you pick first.~ But you're correct nonetheless!

Holy fffffff our good Lady is much harder now. Although I may just be underleveled... Deus, there's no non-creepy way to say this: I love you D:

Also I'm seeing a flash of light followed by my hp being restored during battle. Not that I'm complaining, but is this a feature of easy mode?
 
Lady Venus explains what that is. Dont get used to it, she also removes it from you at the end of the first battle with her.
 
Actually, this was the easyest (wrong spell, I know) battle agains Venus so far for me ^^º
Maybe because I use the Slayer. The game is more complicated now, but thats far from a problem.
Seens like I will enjoy it.

Where did you found that puppet girl? I can't find her anywhere...

Oops right trick of the eye. I thought I saw two stars and then 1 went away. (It didn't really)
Oh and Zerous You should beat Lady Venus at lev 3. You get a big boost from the new equipment and new weapon the old man gives you. Each level the Mamono catch up a little more.

I actually think Lady Venus is easier than the original.

okay i really do not want to be the first
but i did have a problem with the game

firstly i would like to say OMG this game seriously upgraded i love what you did with the intro and adding another extra community to the village

what did go wrong with me was when i was chased by the fairy in the beginning i took the first fork in the road South and looked at the tunnel but did not go in
after that i got dragged in
i pressed up on my key board and it triggered a crash where the music starts the monster pulls me towards the water... and that's it
the game crashed

other than that the game works great
