Tower of Gargalesis (Tickling RPG M/F, F/F, F/M)

Again, which ones? Hathor has huge Stamina and a lot of Endurance, so specifics will help me narrow down what my be going wrong.

Using the shroom one, sorry, anything else seems to work just fine. She literally takes no damage after I use that aspect.

There we go, found it. Knismeshroom Aspect was being applied to Hathor, giving her that state which causes her to regenerate health and have 25% less Endurance, and 80% more technique.

For future note: All Aspects have a state applied along with a skillset swap. When you're a Fairy, your feet and neck are more ticklish. When you're a goblin, your belly is more ticklish, etc. Apply to most every Mamono's weak spot. Also, Kusugu Slug regenerates health, Feather Bug reduces all Adrenaline damage to 1, etc.

Your stats are adjusted accordingly. Tickle Fairy has an Agility and Technique boost, Giggle Goblin has a Proficiency boost, and so on.

Wow

hey im playing on normal mode, im a lvl 5 Soldier with the Cotton Armor. When i fight Princess Chase she does over 100 damage to me with that damn dust ove and around 70 on areas where I have only 1 level of weakness. So I guess my question is did I do something wrong or is it supposed to be this hard?

That was an accident. It, along with Honey Bee's Holy Sparkle being obscenely powerful now, will be corrected in the next release.

OK i'll just ask here then. Please put the Deus cheat back into play?I am simply incapable of handling hathor or the tower.

Hah all you n00bs complaining of difficulty! If only you had MY sk--

*KO'd by the Ticklazon for the 9th time* fffffffffffffFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF

Ohhhhh thank you. I had to set my second, new Mage back to an earlier time, prior to me putting my skill points in, simply because she was devastating me. I thought it might've been because I spread my points to thin, but I'm glad to see it was just too high of numbers on her part (it was always instant death on my Mage if she had hurt me prior, especially if HB had targeted the feet. 70 - 80 of my hp was just slaughtering). Glad to know future characters I make won't be suffering through essentially the "tutorial".

Still, I did manage to beat her by downing a crapload of juice and having 2 in Stamina after many, many attempts with a lucky dodge here or there.

Keep up the amazing work Deus. I'm amazed at how much more enveloping the story is with all the new additions you've added to character personalities and such, and the new scenes too (I love HB's obsession, and the campfire part was cute). I love seeing improvements like this, makes you really get into the story (not like I wasn't before).

Seriously, excellent job!

Hey, a song in the cave where Silver Dragmire sents you for pendant of his is from Final Fantasy 9 - the best rpg on playstation ever. Deus, you are amazing!!! :love

Okay, so in response to overwhelming difficulty, I've made some changes:

-No enemy will have an attacking stat above 3 base. I nerfed the Technique of a few enemies, along with the Proficiency stat of the Ticklazon.

-The Wing Flutter attack was fixed, it won't infatuate you anymore.

-Hathor's Graze was nerfed by 50%

-The Kusugu Slug's healing factor was reduced to 5% instead of 10%

-Ticklazon now has an ability called "Ominous Presence" I won't say what it does.

-I have hidden, on Normal Difficulty Only, a spot where you can get the Black/White feather. It is in the Arrival Maze, but I won't tell you where. Here are some hints:

-> It is not at the end of a corridor.

-> It is not in a chest

-> You must stand on top of it and press the confirm key (Z or Enter)

-> It is between two things.

-> You cannot get to this spot during the Prologue.

Those things said, I recommend the weaker classes snatch up the improved Stamina ASAP, it just makes your life easier.

Just finished off Beelzebebe (didn't wanna use the feather for her, so it was a fun, challenging fight), however I was surprised to get the Honey Bee campfire scene afterward.:huh

I thought giving HB a gift was supposed to be moving her to the next relationship stage, but is it actually just talking to her that does it? I thought the next stage involved her opening up to you more and discussing more of her personal information, like family, but I wasn't able to do that yet.

So I guess the next stage just requires you to talk to her (which puts her ahead of Hathor), and giving her the gift puts her on...say...stage 3. Or does it require you to ask a specific question; I'm guessing the "Do you like tickling me" one?

I'm very impressed with the sudden burst of releases.

Rolled a mage in DWTD.

More feedback:

Bugs
  • Improved Agility lists "1 Point in Adrenaline Puddle" as a requirement. Should be Pool.
  • The Outsider regional resistance skills don't say how much resistance they give. This feels inconsistent with Sole Sheathe (Mage:Knismesis) which quantifies the difference.
  • Character creation nitpick: default ticklishness entries on the character creation menu are inconsistent. Slayer gets a default 0 for everything, while Mage gets 9s. Maybe a class variable is being checked inappropriately, but chargen would be smoother if every class had default values that actually work. Defaulting to 1 would be nice, so that players only have to actually pay attention to parts they explicitly want to customize.

Opinion
  • The Mage Knismesis skills seem too double-edged. It doesn't really feel like I'm making intelligent trade-offs or anything; it's just feels forced and sort of disappointing. Soul Enrichment and Sole Sheathe have flavor and could be fun and make sense, if Soul Enrichment were a high risk, high reward type of skill while Sole Sheathe helped curb the danger Enrichment presented. As it is now, though, maxing both is a net +30 Adren -5 Foot -5 Tech, which pretty much sucks for a 7 point investment. Compare it against Outsider Adrenaline Pool, which is shallower in the skill tree and gives +50 Adren for only 3 points.
  • I don't like the stat drawbacks on Power of Knismesis and Power of Gargalesis. IMO, Tree enders should be something to look forward to and be awesome.

I am at work right now so I can't respond in detail but for what it's worth I wanted to agree with the last part of lurker's post, I do think the Power of Gargalesis skill is a bit weak for a 21 points talent. Or 16, but it requires level 20, so whatever. ^^

I haven't finished chapter 2 in DwtD, it does take so much more time than normal mode. x_x But I can't wait for the other Outsider!

I've got to say as a level 5 thief with fully crafted thief gear I found Hathor...hard, like Pandora (was that her name?) hard. The belly targeted skill had a lot to do with it I'm sure, 2 attacks from it do 140 - 180 damage to me. It's not the damage that is the issue really. It's the fact that she uses it nearly every round. It was extremely rare that she would use a normal attack but instead gave me the belly lick or nipple attack constantly. I think if the frequency was turned down a bit things would be difficult but much more manageable.

I'm somewhat ashamed to say I beat her only due to the F12 glitch which alters stats a bit...which I think was mentioned before but is still in place.

Lurka: The 1-4 range you initially set ends up being on a 1-200 scale, making your choices 50, 100, 150, or 200. Essentially, these are percentages of a "normal" hit, since before the customization all the non-spot body parts (like thighs for a Mage) were 2's. Looking at the Mage tree, +1 foot resist -1 technique may seem not worth it. But isn't technique the physical attack skill? If so, do you need technique at all as a Mage? (I've no clue, I primarily play a thief). I'll admit one foot point probably won't do a whole lot. If a mamono foot attack does 100 damage, I think it'd then do 99. The -5 foot + Adrenaline seems more balanced.

But you don't have to put points into either of those. And frankly, you won't have the points to. Mages look like they'll need to spend most of their points in the Garg tree to learn and level spells. YMMV.

Cay, I do agree that the final Garg item isn't that great. +10% Prof, tech & Agi, -10% Stamina, Adr, & End? Seems like more of a 50/50 trade, but Deus has superior knowledge that may make this analysis stupid.

AnimeWatcher, you beat Bebe without... damn. How? I guess you're not dancing with the devil?

(PS, Cay, didn't Deus say you had to start the other Outsider quest BEFORE entering the Tower? If you didn't get the bell yet, you might be up a creek.)

Damn, now I'm repeat posting. Caged: I did the Hathor L5 thief fight on DwtD mode, too. I found that some fights she'll lick your belly like no tomorrow, other times not. If you only tried her once or twice, I'd be patient. And when you say "fully crafted gear," what weapon and armor are you using? I'd say "fully crafted" at that point is the Foxy Fur Coat, the Wristwatch, and using the Brush, plus having a lot of home brewed healing. That's how I did it (only replace brush with Sleek Gloves).

Ahh yes, my mistake. Fully crafted only when considering what you could get during chapter 1. I was using Cuckoo Feather, Oni Outfit and Lovely Anklet Now better stuff is available that I was not using. It was do-able, I did beat using all of my 15 orange juices I just wasn't sure if it was supposed to be that hard.

I guess I could have done her later but I'm already feeling a little over leveled so I thought I should do her first.
