Tower of Gargalesis (Tickling RPG M/F, F/F, F/M)

*Tries to play with new update, but for some reason he keeps getting program unable to respond for a lengthened period of time*

Ty guys, but i actually ended up playing adventurer, the balanced stats suit my playing style and there are two different foot specific tickles 🙂 would also like to say that the revamps are playing nicely, and ask if you will implement a way to reallocate your skill points, maybe at the cost of tickle essence?

Later on, I plan to include a limited chance to restart your skill development. It will come at the end of a lengthy sidequest and be relatively difficult to reach. But it'll be there.

Big glitch, i am using the most up to date version of ToG and it wont let me into the tower, just keeps making me save over and over in a loop :S

She's level 6 when I just checked it...weird, you people and your glitches I can't figure out. I've put in a fail safe to ensure she starts at level 6, which shouldn't be an issue honestly. But, it requires that you acquire her again. If she's currently level 1, I'll put in a character to fix that.

OOOOOOOOOH. I'm an idiot, I used a variable twice. That's why. Her "Affection Level" is 1, therefore, it shows her level as 1. I'm assuming her stats don't line up with being level 1? I'll fix that, easy peasy.

Her stats do seem to line up with being level 1: Stamina 30, prof 4, end 7, tech 2, agility 3. Tried copying the save file over to the new download, however it read the level at "0" and left all stats the same. Admittedly, this file was saved after I got her, so it is possible the problem would be remedied by re-doing the whole quest (loading an earlier save file) in a newer version. First I'm going to try pressing on with puny goblin and seeing if the heart-to-heart corrects it. If the level automatically boosts to 7-9 or so, it'll be a self-correcting process at least from my end.

Wait, don't do that, that gives me an idea to remedy this issue.

Screw it, I'll just throw in a temporary NPC to fix the issue. For the record, to unlock the first heart-to-heart, you just need to "Talk" to Spaz 4 times and beat Bebe. Every time you talk to her, you get a different interaction.

Oh... I never really use her but if she starts at lev 6... hmmm. Okay, doesn't matter if I was going to restart as slayer anyhow.

it seems my game is now unresponsive with the new update@_@

Edit: Fixed what I did wrong, nevermind

Honestly, Deus, magnificent work on the revamp, dwtd rocks hard, even though i don't see me beating bebe anytime soon.
Some random questions, btw:

-May i have a hint on how to level up my goblin? :rolleyes

-Is it just me or is calypso way easier than the giggle goblin chief and the knismeshroom from the fungus sidequest?

-Talking about Calypso, does the way you treat her sum up to something? I decited to tickle some sense into her, and was shocked by the sudden severety of the scene... i think i'll go easier on her (them?) next time

I think I am going to redo my mage after realizing I am now stuck until I reach level 5. But I am curious about the thief so I am going to see what I can build :3

Well, I started a new game on the DWTD mode to see the new boss and to see how hard it really was.
Now don't get me wrong, I completed Chapter 2 and all, but... Jebus, man, it was freaking brutal! Now I see how story-wise The Outsider should have every odds against him/her in a place like that.
Let me say first of all that is one hell of a gaming experience to play it like that, perhaps I'm a masochist in that way, but screw it, every victory you get is a gazillon times sweeter. And THANKS ZOD for Spaz (not to mention that the Heart-to-Heart moment does make you go all "aw, look at the little thing"), Hathor and Beelzebebe still would be kicking my ass if it weren't for her. Also with such a difficulty the Twins Tome makes all of the difference in the world (i.e., I'm using a Mage and being able to boost all of the stamina and endurance aspects really saved my ass, not to mention being able to use Fire Feather against Beelzebebe). Speaking of wich, Bebe was a freaking nightmare to beat.
As for Calypso, I'm definitely intrigued by her storyline. The battle was pretty exciting too, and it did require me to think strategically in order to beat her instead of just launch random attacks. Also in case that you missed them you have to different Game Over scenes with her. The "Tickle the Brat" option really surprised me too, it's not the typical "I beaten my enemy! Now she will pay!" type of scene, it's really more serious, but I'd bet my ass that choosing it will bring you negative Karma.

The only thing I'd tweak about the DWTD mode is the experience you get from beating regular enemies. Since they're kind of hard to be just regular enemies and you get kind of little experience from them, it makes completing quests sort of the only way to level up. But now that I think of it, that may be intentional since it's a game where grinding doesn't really help.

Anyway, in one word, it was awesome. The new scenes and the new parts added to previous scenes continue to kick ass and besides being a great game, all of it it's beautifully written. I'm most than looking forward to Chapter 3 :lol

PS: The "Have you ever danced with the Devil at the pale moonlight?" reference from the first Batman made my inner geek squeal with nerdish glee. Props to you for including it.

So the people playin normal mode get the Super Bosses and Calypso?

Anyway, I'm stuck on Beelzebebe, I'm a lvl 8 mage. Plz help??

What helped me to win were mainly two things: Feather Flame and Spaz (namely the Giggle Goblin pet). Of course I used a buttload of juices and fruits, and also had to biff up a little my stamina and endurance and other stuff, but mostly was that.
Oh, and be sure to that Fire Flame is the first attack you used or your ass will most probably be handed to you by Beelzebebe.

I have to second that point about fire flasks...
I thought: "ok, now let's scan for aspects" the first time i fought her with my ranger... not - a - good - idea
simply put:
- win 20 apple juices at the bar game
- trade for aprox. 25 fire flasks
- get 20 - 30 fruits in the bar game
throw flasks and heal, then, when you're out of juice, call spaz, have her attack normally and use fruits whenever possible, starting at about 150 stamina
@batman: 2 game over scenes? nice one, i'll have to try for the other one next time. about the karma, i don't know, something inside metells me that she will needs every bit of... uuuum... correction 😀 seriously, talk about issues...

I think he means that Calypso is only available on the devil mode.

Anyways, how do you activate the super boss quests? plz answer :|

After the fight against honey bee, don't enter the tower, but go straight to the captain of the watch to report back.
after you're done talking to him, talk to the guard to his right (left on the screen) and voila

This method did nothing for me that I can see. Right after the honey bee fight I went straight back to the village and told the captain, then talked to each guard in there and they all said nothing different then normal. Not sure what's going on as far as super bosses go.

What did you do wrong? I can't figure it out. I tried to just download the game again but that doesn't work either.

Is there anyone who defeated honey bee with the soldier in dwtd mode yet?
i didn't even made it to the part where she says her "now the real fight" sentence.
furthermore i put all weaknesses to 1 and receive more damage on these parts than i could heal when she shakes her stinger anyway.

i haven't skilled turtle up, cause it sounded more like a debuff. or is it useful in this fight?

Yep, there are 2, one for the upper body fans and one for the feet fans. Before figuring out how to beat Calypso I lost several times, and it seemed to me that is quite more likely to get the upper body scene more often.
And yeah, Calypso totally looks like someone who deserves to get the living crap tickled out of her, but, man... that was some harsh tickling anyway :lol

Hmmm... the only thing that I did different is that I went north out of the forest. I think that your character there sees the tower and then a dialog box appears saying something like "I should go back to the captain first". Then I went back to the village to talk to him, and right after that I talked with the soldier on the left side.
And keep in mind that even if you trigger the quest, it won't appear on your journal.

Does anyone have a recommendation on what character is best suited to play on dwtd mode?
No idea. So far I've been using a Mage on the regular mode and on the DWTD one too. Her lack of endurance makes it a bit difficult though.
