[VX Ace] The Laughing Isles

i would like to start this wall of text by saying i like this game. its very well put together, and very fun. the story is good, very traditional RPG. i LOVE the fact that you can choose to skip cut scenes very nice choice btw. there are a lot of classes to choose from and a good amount of opportunities taken. i love the scene as your entering the second town, it really adds atmosphere and i would LOVE to see more things like it. the characters so far seem good and everythings working pretty well

NOW i do have a few gripes.

how DARE you put a prison in a tickle game and not let me go down there... ever sense i saw that scene in the court i was DYING to get in there i knew there was something good down there and as soon as i get down there. NOPE! even after i talk to the general NOPE, even when i HAVE THE GENERAL WITH ME! NOPE!!! its a minor gripe it really is, and i KNOW you have the intention of me going down there, maybe when i return to the town i will have to rescue the entire town from the dungeon and i will get to see them all getting tortured -fades out with a pervy look on my face- oh yes, -cough- anyhow. like i said i know the intention is to use it at a later date but come on man give us a glimps down there give us some more great atmosphere from the dungeon you know it would be awesome.

EXTREMLY MINOR GRIPE THAT MEANS NOTHING IN THE END HERE: this game is really upper body heavy, dont get me wrong the feet tickling scenes are great, i especially love the elf, the octopus, and probably the wife at the town the best. i will say this in your defence, most games are pretty feet heavy, for a foot fetishist like myself i love that, but for the part of the community that isnt into feet, or is more into upper body tickling or just other tickling its better. im saying that the comunity tends to be geared towards the foot fetishests, and its nice to see more varried forms of art. besides you have a good amount of feet tickling scenes in there (just add a lil more for me eh? 😛)

this is probably my biggest gripe: the nearly forced grinding. i just got out of the town right? took me nearly a half an hour to figure out i had to level up once or twice before i could complete ANY of the quests (granted it might be different for other classes, i picked the mage) it was pretty frustraiting having to realise i HAD to grind my character up. being a former maple story player, i really dont like grinding... though i will say i didnt really like the solution that tower of gargalesses had, as it made you feel constantly week and trying to fall back on grinding nnever worked in fact sometimes it made things worse. but being forced to grind just feels bad, i wish there was a better solution.

in addition to the forced grinding there was little to no dirrection, i had no idea where i was going for that first 30 minutes, and honestly thought that the reason i couldn't beat the missions was because i wasn't ready yet and i just had to go do a different mission first. again a huge waist of time and i wished there was more dirrection, a quest meter would also help this to track quests. as a side thought

before i get into the last gripe im going to talk a bit about the funny things that happen in this game due to a few coincidences.

i love how during the raid on the town, right SPOILERS! when you walk up to the centars you like run up and stand by them to let them finish what they're doing. just standing there like a bunch of dopes "well we dont want to be RUDE". JUST TACKLE THE BITCH AND KICK HER ASS! (excuse my language)

my favorite little funny moment is right before the end when your about to go down into the cave...

"NOW QUICK we have to escape figment down into this cave QUICKLY BEFORE SHE COMES!"

"wow! this is a pretty big cave whats the story about this?"

"WELL four scores and 30 years ago"

NO, just go down into the freaking cave and get it done! you can exposit on the way damnit. but instead you guys have to have a hearty chuckle as the succubus lines up her shot! LOL

okay, time for my final gripe. VI... yes VI... she is my finnal gripe in this wall of text. now before you start booing and grabbing your pitchforks hear me out. your in this fantasy epic (shhh its a fantasy epic... with tickling... THIS IS SRSYS BUDNSS) and your having a great time, the story is awesome and this great part where the general sacrifices herself (love that scene) to save you, and what do you find in the cave? i virus... a FREAKING VIRUS?!? what the hell is that doing here? this is a fantasy epic not no scifi come on! i have a few problems with it:

number one, it totally derails the plot theres really only one way i could see this story being salvaged from that (other then removing her) though i wont say it because i dont want to ruin it in case it is that, because it is okay. its like watching a tail of robin hood and having aliens show up out of no where. i know i know "what do you know, havent you heard of suspension of disbelief?" yes i have, and thats my point, my belief has been returned, i cant suspend it past that and it just raises to many questions.

the other thing is the ways it could turn out that would be a huge stain on this game. if this character turns into a big lipped alligator boss im going to be severely disappoint. heck if it turns into a REOCCURRING big lipped alligator boss im going to be even more disappoint!.

although beating her led to another funny thought:

she's all like: how did you beat me you must of cheated (paraphrasing)

and im all like: ITS CALLED GRINDING. DEAL WITH IT!

well like i said prior. even though i did focus pretty heavy on the bad i want you to know this is still a great game and i cannot wait to see more. wounderful job keep up the good work

Any chance for a cheat mode to be in this game? just askin, plz don't flame me with flame throwers 0.0

Vi was just watchers way of trolling people who were done with the demo. She will not be in the cave next update. Ho ho ho!

Any chance for a cheat mode to be in this game? just askin, plz don't flame me with flame throwers 0.0

Cheating pls. You can always just outgrind anything in the game if you have the mental fortitude to sit your ass down and tickle the absolute shit out of the poor monster girls.
But a lower difficulty setting is something "some" players might like. Some people just play games for the story. Me on the other hand.. I want to farm completely out of control before I laugh in the faces
of the poor bosses trying to stop me. For instance. In Lala's Ordeal 2, I maxed out all passive stats and skills before clearing the maid dungeon in the first town. LIKE A BOSS!
Lala with 216 hp Nené with 205 both rank 1. 22k gold to get gear. That is the stalker way of trolling games. First playthrough I didn't grind tho. ^^

About those monster girls. Some interesting ideas have been used. A snail girl? Sure takes some imagination to have come up with that one. 😉 Are the game design and the art all the work of one person?

Yeah, I've found that out later. The cat girl is also fairly weak, so it took me a while to finally see the losing dialogue of her. 🙂

There's a solution to this (makes me wonder how many things you missed in the game hehe). I have a special "encounter" that players can get an item that auto-loses the battle. It can be gotten in the first town if you search around. I'd say...mmm...start in the top right perhaps? Y'know, somewhere around there?

Just finished a playthrough as the Rogue class. Love the way the last boss of the demo breaks the fourth wall. 🙂

Haha, yea Vi was a fun surprise for everyone. Though I feel I made her far too weak as she was truly supposed to be "Game Breaking" strong, not just "I'm strong if you haven't leveled a few levels above the recommended"

I had the impression I was using an exploit of some kind. 😉 I now also know were to get an early weapon before entering the town (forgot the name). Also takes some grinding, but very possible if you go back-and-forth to the church to heal. 😉 One could also go to Sandy Smiles and get some 'protection' if the player know what to do of course.

Lol in a way you were. CHEATER! I see how it is. Cheatin mah game. Pfft. Can't even play it properly :lol There are quite a few items you can get before you meet her that could help you out. Don't forget to talk to people. Some even give you info if you talk more than once.

One thing. I've found another bug in your game. Inside the cave near Sandy Smiles there are those Onis showing up after you examine the three empty bottles. If you do that from the left side, the game freezes as the Onis have to line up at the place you're standing at. In order to progress the player has to click on the bottles from the right side.

This bug has been reported before and I can safely say that it is fixed in Live. So you'll be able to hump the left side of the box/booze for all I care, because the game will still continue 🙂

Great work. Looks very promising and it nears the quality of daabura's Labyrinth of Laughter (which sadly has been discontinued, even the Japanese version), which might have inspired you as an RPG maker. I know a lot of work has doubtlessly been put in this game, and I hope you'll remain as inspired to make the story progress.

There's been a few. LoL is one, of course, but I think a lot goes to Tower of Gargalesis. Even a couple of Screamer's games kindof pushed me over the edge for one reason or another. Writing is annoying, but seeing it all come together after all this makes it worth it.

I mean the part with Worynn.

I should have this fixed for Live. I'll just lock the ability to swap Nadya out of formation. Maybe. If it's that easy to fix.

I'm happy you had fun with the game and thanks for the compliments! There will be more scenes like that to add to the atmosphere, don't worry. This is only a part of my game after all. Probably 1/4 to 1/5?

NOW i do have a few gripes.

Allow me to answer your wall of gripes with a wall of my own...PICTURES.

Oh bud, you're preaching to the choir on this one. As a fellow foot lover, even I see I've gone the upperbody route on most of these. Though if you compare, the foot scenes get a lot more...creative?...There's just more you can do with feet than you can with the other body parts (probably because we're cheating and have technically, like, 8 different things you can affect that count as "foot", from balls and arches to toes and tops of feet). But I agree, I definitely need more foot tickling.

Still, there are some things that are dedicated for us. Y'know, an Undead is ALWAYS most ticklish on her soles.

this is probably my biggest gripe: the nearly forced grinding. i just got out of the town right? took me nearly a half an hour to figure out i had to level up once or twice before i could complete ANY of the quests (granted it might be different for other classes, i picked the mage) it was pretty frustraiting having to realise i HAD to grind my character up. being a former maple story player, i really dont like grinding... though i will say i didnt really like the solution that tower of gargalesses had, as it made you feel constantly week and trying to fall back on grinding nnever worked in fact sometimes it made things worse. but being forced to grind just feels bad, i wish there was a better solution.

All RPG's have some grinding. Whether it's through quests, random mob kills, bosses, item making, what have you. Alas, you'll be disappointed if you think this or any of my games won't involve you having to fight mobs. This is the staple of RPG's for...like...ever lol. You can't just go from one to the other with little to nothing fought and expect to win. You think Maplestory is your friend, but it betrays you!

I'm glad there is no direction, that was kindof the purpose. The only thing given is mostly to follow the road. You have 2 kinds of quests - Story and Side. Story quests are those that allow you to continue with the game, such as Sandy Smiles and Lockstockd Tickles. The others, like the stalking Alraune, Paper Collector, and Crystal Collector are all side quests that are entirely optional. What's more, dialogue can change depending on what has happened. Did you know if you go to Lockstockd Tickles first before you've saved Sandy Smiles, the dialogue will be different than if you went to SS and saved it first? I give bonuses to those who explore, and this also includes secret locations.

I do agree, however, that some sort of quest helper would've been good. However, that will have to be for the next game I make.

before i get into the last gripe im going to talk a bit about the funny things that happen in this game due to a few coincidences.

These amused me so when I read them. I'm so glad you had inner monologue when you played the game lol. I've done this so many times when I play. It's the whole "Watch a girl go into a dark room in a horror movie and you shout out "ALL YOUR FRIENDS DIED ALONE AND IN THE DARK! WHY WOULD YOU DO THINK THIS IS NOW A GOOD IDEA!?"

okay, time for my final gripe. Just...

This is...

Amazing.

Lol. Okay, let me put everything to rest on this one. Vi's encounter in the tunnel is an Exclusive Demo Event, the same one you read in the first post right underneath the title. She will not be appearing in Live. She was meant as a Demo ender as well as giving a fun reason why you will not be able to use your character you played as in the Demo with the Live version. Essentially, Vi corrupts the game one way or the other.

Vi was a fun "troll" surprise I put in for all the fans who've been following the game's progression since the start. In the beginning, I created a character known as Bezzy, whom everyone seemed to really like, and had users send in mail to an "Ask Bezzy" thing. I'd draw Bezzy responding too their mail and put out these short comics. One question that people wanted to know was if Bezzy would appear in the game, to which she amused that she might be as a boss, but really no she wasn't going to.
Vi was my surprise for everyone thinking I actually had added her in, only for it to be a doppelganger Bezzy known as Virus or Vi for short. You can see the Bezzy comics if you look earlier in the thread (or just do a post search here for Bezzy) and see all the fun times you missed.

So take it easy, Vi will not be there in Live nor will she destroy the story.

Wait, what? Most games are feet heavy? What games are you playing? I wanna play them too. I tried making a foot tickling game because I was thinking, "It seems like all of these tickling games are about 80% upperbody and 20% feet."

Well, i just dont have the time to grind lol XD so far i have played the game, it's very fun though 🙂

Any chance for a cheat mode to be in this game? just askin, plz don't flame me with flame throwers 0.0

There are CURRENTLY no cheats to the game, though there is a strong item you can get that will scale/be useful throughout the whole game. In a way, it's sortof a cheat item. In another, it's no White Feather from Tower of Gargalesis. Though I know some people don't like grinding, is it bad if you don't finish a game in an hour? I'm still balancing Experience with battle difficulty and leveling speed, and this will more than likely be an ongoing thing even when I'm on the final part of the game. I am glad you're enjoying the game though as that is what is most important to me.

About those monster girls. Some interesting ideas have been used. A snail girl? Sure takes some imagination to have come up with that one. 😉 Are the game design and the art all the work of one person?

You'll be surprised to see a few not-so-normal monster girls in here. It's all about what interests me and what looks good. These are all from different artists online, and I go around selecting many, many examples before I rifle through them all and pick ones I think fit the best for what I'm going for.

this is probably my biggest gripe: the nearly forced grinding.

Psssst...... Over here! My game's got no grinding~

Sorry for advertising in your thread AW, just couldn't resist!

On another note, how goes the development on your latest chapter? All things going smooth I hope!

It is getting extremely difficult for me not to start playing now. Damn you AW,,,,DAMN YOU!

It is getting extremely difficult for me not to start playing now. Damn you AW,,,,DAMN YOU!

Considering what was released by him so far was just the demo, I think it's safe for you to play. He DID say he made changes for the official release of the first part, so you won't be playing the actual game just yet.

Great game! I believe I did all the quests and secrets available.(I'm very thorough when it comes to world explorations.) Only thing I didn't get to accomplish was the froggie girl, she was TOUGH! And I didn't realize she'd disappear later in the game. I'm guessing after I got to a certain point(only significant one was either after the training or after the "find new quest" scene).

My favorite scene has to be the octopus, along with the Zombie punish scene. Both elf scenes are great, although I'm a foot guy so you can guess which I preferred lol

I love the descriptive nature of all the scenarios. And the characters are extremely cute, especially the slime, she's just so non-threatening.

A suggestion, though:

In the paper quest, those Beach Brushers are SO HARD TO ENCOUNTER, I just kept fighting mermaids and it made me a level 4 by the time I got 5 papers. After that, the game became far too easy.(Even Vi was a pushover for me) Now, I won't complain about the game being too easy, because obviously that gives me a chance to easily see the scenarios and whatnot, and I know about the insta-suicide item, but I figured for those who kinda wanted to have a game that had some challenge, that quest really levels you up and makes the rest of the game not much of a challenge, anymore.

Again, I don't complain much about things, I honestly feel uncomfortable criticizing things I can not even think to do(like making a video game). So I apologize if I came off as nit-picky, I just figured I'd share how I felt about that one thing.

All in all, LOVE THIS GAME. You all(all game creators) have been on your A game, as of late, and I'm so excited to have an opportunity to be a PART of the experience!

Vi isn't meant to be an easy win in the Demo. She is the Demo ender and is actually significantly above the level range you're expected to finish the demo. None the less, I did drop her power down some so she is beatable, but you're still going to have to do some power leveling. I'd suggest rerolling another class and trying her out. I don't even know if Cleric and Paladins are ok since no one apparently wanted to be one (just like in most games lol nobody wants to be a healer or tank).

And thank you for Vi's music feeling epic! It's exactly what I wanted!

So, I was actually searching the thread for Vi's theme, and wanted to see who/what it was, because I want to download it, honestly. lol Anyways, when I did, I ran into this quote and figured I'd let you know

I used Paladin, I like having a high defense character because defense always seems to prevail!(I have a VERY difficult time losing any battles, or getting game overs without the insta-suicide item) So I just wanted to let you know the Paladin could be considered God-tier, RIGHT NOW(May change as the game goes on), because Vi was an easy fight for me. I only used a few potions and heals, but I was never really on the ropes. As a matter of fact, I beat her my first try and I was at half health, already, as it was(didn't notice the bed). And when I went to do it again to get the Game Over scene, I didn't use potions or heals and I still managed to get at least half her HP knocked out, so imagine full health and pots/heals available.

I am a level 5 or 6, but that's not really... my FAULT, per say. I did one of the quests and the encounter rate of the creature in question was so difficult to encounter, so I just started killing whoever was in my way(not like anything THEY did really damaged me) til I got what I needed. By the end of it, I was a lvl 4 on the verge of 5, and after doing all the other battles by the time I got to Vi, I was at 6, which made that battle rather easy.

ANYWAYS... As I was saying, do you know who made the song, and if YOU made it, is there a way to download said song? Because I sometimes find myself just loading the game, engaging the battle, and leaving the game open whilst I do my other things, because it's just a great sound!

Thanks and excuse the long-winded post!

just played it through, it really is an awesome game! (and it's not even FINISHED yet 😵)
Nice humour (the Oni cave was really funny), well written tickle scenes, I love that game!

The only thing I really missed was a game over scene against these centaurs (I really searched for a hidden possibility to confront the reinforcements ^^). such great potential for a tickling scene... and we all want to see the guard woman laugh some more, don't we? 😉

I also found the wolve scene... what? A Zombie punishment scene? Where... *restarts the game* ^^

---

Oh, and I found a small bug, I got stuck here while jumping from a leaf: http://s7.directupload.net/file/d/3340/kml2gz4i_jpg.htm
And I can't read the sign at the lake entrance anymore, is that intentional?

Aaand some more bugs
- when the Captain joins you and you go in the bedroom, suddenly the Captain stands again in front of the bed. And the guardians seem to be pretty calm in the castle, still sleeping or still inviting you to the dungeon.
- the dog seems to be able to teleport. If you give him the ball, he appears in the city (but doesn't do anything), later he is in the castle again (during the Figment-scene), and during the Centaur raid he is in the city again. Guess he enjoys watching the tickling fights 😉
- if you manage to rescue the husband, enter the house of the wife and leave it again immediately - suddenly the husband teleports in front of the door, telling you to rescue his wife, but obviously he is blocking the entrance 😀

Ahaha, sorry Dae, but I wasn't lying when I said you'd be waiting a LONG time for the full game. I'm trying my best (and shtuff, and shtuff).

Considering what was released by him so far was just the demo, I think it's safe for you to play. He DID say he made changes for the official release of the first part, so you won't be playing the actual game just yet.

You'll still be playing a majority of the demo, though a good bit has changed from the Demo to Live. Balance, "improvements", new items, new events, lotsa bug fixes, etc. I've also decided that throughout my updates, I'll be adding new stuff that I wasn't able to get around to. This means new stuff in EARLIER parts of the game.

Whilst doing some more work on my "good" run of the game, I've realized something: I can't equip the fluffy feather. Is this cause I'm a rogue on this run?

Great game! I believe I did all the quests and secrets available.(I'm very thorough when it comes to world explorations.) Only thing I didn't get to accomplish was the froggie girl, she was TOUGH! I am thoroughly amused by the fact that all the beginner and even the TUTORIAL monsters are the ones that actually are killing or are challenging for players. It's like starting a Dragon Quest game and the first Slime you encounter 1-shots you with 9999 damage.

There are going to be a good bit of events that are missable if you don't do them within a certain time. I think discovering new stuff that keeps making you come back is pretty great. I still remember playing Labyrinth of Laughter and thought I beat it all...until I checked the forums and saw people talking about a mysterious hidden tickle torture event with the party. Went back in, leveled up, and worked at trying to unlock it (and when I did, ohhh boy was it good).

My favorite scene has to be the octopus, along with the Zombie punish scene. Both elf scenes are great, although I'm a foot guy so you can guess which I preferred lol

Which one? 😛 Or mayhaps you DID miss some things after all.

I love the descriptive nature of all the scenarios. And the characters are extremely cute, especially the slime, she's just so non-threatening.

😀 Many thanks for your praise. The slime turned out to be a last minute character that even I have absolutely loved making the lines and encounter(s) for. I do believe someone gave her the "Moe Blob" tag earlier in the thread. Quite funny since she literally is lol.

What's that you say? Decrease mermaid experience you say? GOT IT!

No but seriously, I've been looking at and balancing enemies. It looked a little too easy with how fast people were screaming through the levels (one boss seemed to bump you up from level 1 to 3 practically by itself). I have reduced the mermaid encounter rate and increased the Beach Brushers. Should be a little easier to run into them now.

Again, I don't complain much about things, I honestly feel uncomfortable criticizing things I can not even think to do(like making a video game). So I apologize if I came off as nit-picky, I just figured I'd share how I felt about that one thing.

I don't see any complaining or nitpicking. I see you discussing your own experience and giving some feedback/report. Don't fret.

So, I was actually searching the thread for Vi's theme, and wanted to see who/what it was, because I want to download it, honestly. lol Anyways, when I did, I ran into this quote and figured I'd let you know

Vi's theme is part of a megamix that was taken down by the artist due to copyright infringement. The whole megamix was part of a series called Revolt from Angeloid Beats.

Here's the full segment that includes Vi's theme out of the 1 hour long megamix. Some user(s) have been nice enough to reupload the artist's work, and he has it for download too so you can download the whole thing if you want to.

Enjoy the full theme and the kickass looking background pic.

I've gone in and adjusted the Paladin a little, but honestly, they're going to be stupidly beefy I feel at these early levels. I'm testing how they are in the tunnels, but I think they'll soon start to depart from walking gods back to their mortal shells. But I thank you wholeheartedly for your feedback. I do want to balance classes, even if it means a class can one-shot or take 0 damage from things anymore. I thank the players for being open about these things too rather than hiding them with glee.

Poor Vi...I really should've made her stupidly high stats and given her just all these non-altered skills. At least people can beat her and see the "true" ending. 🙂

ANYWAYS... As I was saying, do you know who made the song, and if YOU made it, is there a way to download said song? Because I sometimes find myself just loading the game, engaging the battle, and leaving the game open whilst I do my other things, because it's just a great sound!

Thanks and excuse the long-winded post!

That made my night 😀 Knowing you open it up just to rock to Vi's theme...lol that's a friggin good compliment there. Means I've picked some damn good music (and altered it to my liking of course). If you ever want the song, most RPG Maker games don't compress and hide their Audio folders, so you can look for it if you want. I labeled that particular clip "System Corruption"; if you don't want to bother with downloading new things.

just played it through, it really is an awesome game! (and it's not even FINISHED yet 😵)
Nice humour (the Oni cave was really funny), well written tickle scenes, I love that game!

Eeeeehhhh! If it isn't our forums Strat and Walkthrough maker right here 😀 Woo! Love hearing my humorous scenes made people laugh. Though I still get a shock whenever I hear my writing was actually good lol. I am SO not a writer.

\
The only thing I really missed was a game over scene against these centaurs (I really searched for a hidden possibility to confront the reinforcements ^^). such great potential for a tickling scene... and we all want to see the guard woman laugh some more, don't we? 😉

Alas, due to time constraints, the centaurs don't have one.

HOWEVER! This can and is almost guaranteed will have game over tickle scenes in the future. I've got a few things I originally planned, and you'll find a couple on your way in Live. Just try and...test...things before to find them all. Some require you to be a little "clumsy".
Ahhh Worynn...Everybody wants the woman who never smiles to have tears roll down her face as she shrieks in laughter. She'll be getting her time in the spotlight soon enough. 😀

I also found the wolve scene... what? A Zombie punishment scene? Where... *restarts the game* ^^

You missed a lot if you didn't get (both) the zombie scenes. Then there's the harpy mother that can be missable too and the frog girl. Just to name a few.

Oh, and I found a small bug, I got stuck here while jumping from a leaf: http://s7.directupload.net/file/d/3340/kml2gz4i_jpg.htm
And I can't read the sign at the lake entrance anymore, is that intentional?

I see you've jumped onto a place you shouldn't have been able to jump too. I've gona in and correct that issue today. It shouldn't appear again 🙂
The sign as the lake I think I might set of fire out of annoyance of that question now lol.

[\QUOTE]Aaand some more bugs
- when the Captain joins you and you go in the bedroom, suddenly the Captain stands again in front of the bed. And the guardians seem to be pretty calm in the castle, still sleeping or still inviting you to the dungeon.
- the dog seems to be able to teleport. If you give him the ball, he appears in the city (but doesn't do anything), later he is in the castle again (during the Figment-scene), and during the Centaur raid he is in the city again. Guess he enjoys watching the tickling fights 😉
- if you manage to rescue the husband, enter the house of the wife and leave it again immediately - suddenly the husband teleports in front of the door, telling you to rescue his wife, but obviously he is blocking the entrance 😀[/QUOTE]

I found all these yesterday while I was bug testing and building. It was quite an annoying surprise that once more made me question how people go past this to fight Vi. Still, it should be ok no. The beds will be blocked off for reentry to make sure no clones or green beds of love are around.

Teleporting dog...I uncovered one of his issues and FINALLY got it fixed, so now he should be teleporting a lot less. PROUDNESS am IYY'S

Whilst doing some more work on my "good" run of the game, I've realized something: I can't equip the fluffy feather. Is this cause I'm a rogue on this run?

Rogues, like most classes, get weapon and specific armors. However, not every weapon they have is compatible with their abilities. So it'll be up to the Rogue to decided which weapon combination would be best for the. In truth, some weapons are classified as swords while others are classified as daggers. General use are items that are in the Claw category. Claw is usable by anyone. Dagger is Rogue predominantly. Sword is for several classes. If it isn't usable, I either didn't properly fix it, or I did but have it in Live. It's up to you what you want to do with it. Some things you find will not be for your class. You could either sell it, or wait for a monster girl with that class and give her a quick beef up.

I'm trying to stay the course and get the game finalized by this weekend for you all to play. Got a lot of obstacles, but I hope it works. Just pick the right graphics, test word bleeding and cutoff, balance, scene movement, and bleh. Gonna be big though. I hope. So struggling I goooo~

The way you're talking, Anime, makes me think we should start a new game once you've released the live version, so we find stuff that wasn't there before. Or would you recommend that we just pick up on the farthest save we have before the centaur invasion and go back and look around?

Either way, I'm still eager to see what's changed and what's been added.

Thought it might be a weapon thing, it's just harder to tell what kind of weapons are what type when they're mostly feathers. Might I suggest adding something to the description to make it easier to tell what classes work for the items?

I hear you talking alot about "both" zombie scenes.. Are there more then one? Because I have probably banged my head into every single square in the game, and I have yet to find it! Unless it is the certain thing that had a lot of "slight" problems that I was talking about waaaay back. 😛
A certain zombie that did not like to move.. Even tho it said she escaped. 😛

I've mentioned previously that Demo characters are restricted for Live, and it still remains the same. You cannot continue past where you fought Vi with a Demo character.

So yes, I'd recommend you reroll. Some things specifically won't happen unless you've got a Live version character (which keeps the Demo version different from Live, aside from the exclusive event).

I can try, but I don't think I'll be able to. You only have a limited amount of space, and I'd rather that be for flavor text and stats that you can't see on the status screen (such as +15% fire/foot damage). I'll look around and see if I can't find a script that might be able to help.

Hmmmm! Fascinating!

It seems that Teh stalker has missed some things. Mwaha...MWAHAHA! And the zombie SHOULD have had that brain damaged fixed in a later patch, so she doesn't bump into walls anymore.

STATUS UPDATE:

I am trying my damndest to get everything done by this weekend as scheduled. I still need to playtest, make something...special...and finish writing some game over scenes (and fix just a couple of the bugs that have cropped up now, though most have been dealt with).

Argh! I can't seem to find it.. Been spending over 4 hours looking 😵
Didn't notice how fast the time was passing.
I just have to ask.. Is this scene before or after the encounter in the attic? And does it require any certain story related quest? 😛

Lol now THAT is dedication. I commend you sir.

The scene is before the encounter, sortof. It doesn't require a certain story quest, but does require something certain. 😉
